Short walk to Stanley Park, great shops and restaurants. Close to theatres, museums and concerts. Take the water taxi to Granville Island and the Maritime Museum. Easy access to airport via Sky Train. Short distance via public transportation to ski areas. Bring your bikes and skates as Vancouver offers miles of protected paths and lanes. This is a safe and established neighborhood.

The private and quiet condo was recently fully remodeled. Floor to ceiling windows; a balcony with spectacular views; oak , tile and cork flooring; contemporary furnishing; fully equipped kitchen with granite counters; and luxury towels, linens and comforters. Original artwork and photography is displayed on the walls. For your enjoyment, there is a flat screen TV along with an iPod stereo with wireless speakers.

Included is wireless high speed internet access.

The living area has seating area featuring a leather couch that converts into a bed that sleeps two as well as a separate matching loveseat. Also in the living room is a workstation for the computer and your office needs. The bedroom has a memory foam topper bed and 100% cotton hi count bedding and two night stands. The remodeled bathroom features a tub and shower combo, and custom oak cabinetry along with a sit on top sink.

The fully-equipped, self-catering kitchen includes a stainless steel refrigerator, ceramic top stove, dishwasher, microwave, and a large stainless sink surrounded by ample cabinets. Since this is our second home, the kitchen is fully stocked with kitchen essentials. Help yourself to whatever is there.

Vancouver is a center for the culinary arts offering a wide variety of truly exceptional restaurants (of all price ranges), boutique markets, bakeries and, of course, Granville Island-all in close proximity. We maintain a regularly updated list of restaurants and markets for your convenience.

Golf clubs available for your use at the Stanley Park Pitch and Putt-a lovely small 18 hold course just a short walk away.

Did Capilano Bridge which was amazing, Granville Island where we signed up for an unforgettable whale watch (over 40 whales), walked the beach and found delightful places to eat. Excellent location.

Great Home Base for an Active Stay in Vancouver

Vancouver's West End and the immediate area offer a great menu of urban delights. But if you are like us -- and staying a week or more -- you need a great home base for coming and going and resting in between outings and adventures. This snug condo fits the bill, nicely appointed with thoughtful touches like a cushy bed, fluffy towells and a modern, usable kitchen, all in a quiet neighborhood away from bustling Robson and the Gastown crowds, noise and traffic. Summer stays in this condo may require putting up with some too-warm temps in the afternoon, when the sun shines directly on the big glass door. But when the sun sets, coolness prevails again. Mornings are heavenly, with a view of the bay, windows wide open, not a bug in sight, breezes flowing and shade on the deck. We liked having daily coffee and breakfast in the condo, plus a couple of dinners with ingredients from nearby Granville Market. Going out for coffee (JJ Bean's) or dining in the West End is great, but you have to walk four blocks or more from the condo. The delightful Granville market is a half-mile walk plus a quick ferry ride, convenient, but not at your doorstep. All the more reason, for longer stays, to skip the hotels, settle in to Harvey's quiet condo, get some provisions and get busy enjoying one of America's best cities from your home base in the West End. Owner is friendly and responsive.

Not so great.

The location and the interior of the place was ok but the elevator was broken and we had to carry suitcases several floors climbing up & down the stairs. The key exchange arrangement also had a lot to desire. We will not choose this place again.

Owner's Response: We are sorry the guest did not have a good experience. Most people consider the condo and the location to be excellent...guess we just can't please everyone. We alerted the guest of the elevator requiring repair and we offered to cancel if that would be too inconvenient. We even provided the guest with a partial refund to compensate for the inconvenience. Tried to do everything to make it right for them. Problems will occur, its how you handle them that reflects your commitment to guest satisfaction. Regarding the key, our normal check in time is before 3pm. As a back up, we keep a key in a locker not far from the condo. Normally we like to meet guests but in this instance the guest was not able to arrive within that time frame. None of our other guests who have used the key locker have experienced difficulties. Considering almost 100% of our guests are pleased with their stay and the key hand over, I am sorry this guest did not have a similar experience.

Great rental and excellent location.

We had a lovely stay at this great rental in Vancouver. We arrived several hours before check in and the owner helped us out by letting us leave our luggage at the unit while the cleaning lady was prepping for our arrival . It was located right near Stanley Park and had wonderful views from the patio. The unit was well equipped and had a few fans and some outdoor chairs as well. The bed was very comfortable as well. We would definetly rent through Harvey again.

Terrific little place.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at this condo. The bed was comfortable, the views were nice. The location was stallar, (we walked the entire downtown/Olympic Village/Granville Island area). Plus, the owners have taken the time to review every attraction/restaurant in the area. Very nice!
