Beautiful, spacious, comfortable home
We stayed at this home with a couple other families with young children for the New Year's weekend. What a lovely stay we had! The home is perfect for large groups/families. The kids LOVED the secret play room. The kitchen, dining, and living spaces are all plenty big with room for everyone to spread out. We also liked that the house had three levels so each family had their own level/bedroom for sleeping. Despite the bitter cold temperatures outside during our stay, the house was plenty warm for us! We would definitely recommend this home, and we would certainly return if we have the opportunity to again.
Perfect October family gathering
We have a tradition of celebrating Thanksgiving in October so that our spread out family can get together without the hassle of travel in late November. When I found this VRBO home for rent I knew it would fulfill our needs with its four bedrooms, four baths, huge kitchen, lovely dinning room and only 3 miles from our niece who was hosting our big feast. We were impressed by the huge Viking stove that we used to prepare cheese rolls and pumpkin pie and the secret hideaway behind the kids bedroom that kept the grandchildren fully occupied while we cooked and visited with each other. We enjoyed the views out the windows looking at the lake and the swing set out behind the house. It is a very clean and well stocked home with numerous amenities including a whole house generator which kicked in early the last morning as we were getting ready to leave. A huge storm hit Maine the night before with over 500,00 customers without electricity in the state. What a blessing to have the generator to keep us warm with lights and power to brew our morning coffee! We will definitely try to rent this place again in the summer so that we can kayak and swim in the lake.
Tranquil Lakefront Getaway
This place is perfect for a getaway with the family! The views of the lake are fantastic and there are so many things to do for everyone! House is spacious and has everything you need to enjoy your stay! Matt (the owner) is very attentive and makes sure all needs are met! I would love to come back in the summer to enjoy some swimming.
Beautiful home with so many lovely touches. We had a fantastic week! Make sure to bring swimming towels, and the fridge is small. But those are the only complaints!
The property was well-maintained inside and out.
The house was meticulous; looked newly painted. We loved the deck and spent most of
the time on the deck and in the water. I appreciated that you allowed us to bring our two dogs ; they were very happy exploring the woods. All in all, it was wonderful. Thank you.
A Maine Gem
Over the years we have rented several lake houses for our family get togethers. This was the best! In addition to the fabulous setting and deck for the adults to enjoy, the older kids had the lake to swim, fish, canoe and kayak, the little one had the jungle gym and a sandy area for digging, and they all enjoyed the "secret" play room and plentiful toys and games. Morning coffee and evening wine on the deck with the sound of the loons...what more can I say? Everything you could need was provided (but be sure to bring beach towels). Air conditioning and comfortable beds made for happy campers all around.
Crescent Lake is situated in the beautiful Sebago Lakes Region and this elegant, modern home is located on the desirable southern shore of the lake. This smaller, quieter lake is suitable for children of all ages. Enjoy all of your favorite freshwater activities, fishing, boating, water skiing, tubing, kayaking, etc. (rental comes with two kayaks and a canoe!). For the nature enthusiasts you may paddle or motor your way up the Tenney River where wildlife abounds. This river connects Crescent Lake to the larger Panther Pond. Close proximity to Freeport and Portland offers a multitude of shopping and dining experiences. The fall is our favorite time of the year on the lake; apple picking, hayrides, and nature walks. Located just a few miles away is Rattlesnake Mountain which offers great family hiking activities. In the winter months we are within easy driving distance to some great skiing including Shawnee Peak, Lost Valley and Sunday River. Snowmobiling, ice fishing, skating, and snowshoeing are all available at your front door, and all the attractions of Portland are only 30 minutes away!
