The Fall River Ranch is secluded on the Fall River and in the middle of the best fly fishing in the Country. There is also great horseback riding, hiking and the relaxation of no activity is also superb. There is no limit to the activities you can discover in the area with Yellowstone National Park, Targhee National Forrest, Harriman State Park, and the list go on and on. Choose the Fall River Ranch for your large group reunions, Corporate activities, Weddings, or just your small family vacation.
The Fall River Ranch is a secluded 40 acre property. You will not see another house in sight. You can leave your electronics behind and enjoy the peaceful sounds of the river while you relax on the wrap around deck reading a good book or visiting with friends and family. Sleeps 40 people including children comfortably with plush beds and clean linens. A private stocked fishing pond guarantees you will make a catch. Floating the river is amazing with many locations to a quick easy float. This is truly an amazing location that will build memories that last a lifetime.
This was our second year vacationing at the lodge with 4 families. The lodge and surrounding property is amazing. The lodge has everything you need to have an incredible vacation. The pond is fully stocked with fish and the river has some nice ones as well. The multiple suite layout is great. It allows early risers to sit on the deck or cook breakfast while the late starters can sleep in. The Bluetooth speaker was a nice addition this year. Everyone enjoyed playing their favorite songs. And, of course, Peter and Debbie are amazing people.
We just returned from a family vacation at the lodge. The lodge and suites above the garage were immaculate, and very comfortable. The pool and ping pong tables were the highlight for our family, as well as the hot tub. The kitchen has professional appliances, and 2 grills on the deck with an amazing view of the river. We tubed and fished on the river. The lodge is totally private and serene. We will definitely go back!
We had about 20 people stay here for the week and this property easily accommodated us. The sleeping rooms are clean and spacious, beds are very comfortable, and there were plenty of towels/blankets/pillows. There is a kitchen in the bunkhouse has a full kitchen and each room has a kitchenette. There are several areas on the property to gather, so even if you have a lot of people you can still find a quiet place. The main house is large and perfect for entertaining with a big deck that overlooks the river. The kitchen is large and has everything you need, including a very quiet dishwasher. The pond on the property is beautiful and I caught a trout:) There is a market and a few places to get food and drinks about 15 minutes away in Ashton. If you are staying multiple nights, you can take day trips to Jackson Hole, Yellowstone, and Bear World. The owners have stocked the property with everything you need and when you get there you are welcomed with lemonade and freshly baked chocolate cookies.
Thank you Pete and Debbie so much! We had a wonderful stay!
We had such an incredible few days at this awesome lodge. There were about 20 of us when we were all together... all of varying ages and there was PLENTY to do! We saw Yellowstone, went horseback riding, and went on a float trip down the river. Peter and Debbie are the most awesome hosts!
The property is magnificent... if you love nature you'll love it here. You can sit on the deck right on the river - and can hot tub, too! Room for everyone. There's fishing in the pond adjacent to the lodge (someone in our group even caught a trout while we were there!). The accommodations are really lovely - and the great room is so big, it easily fits all the guests at one time.
The only complaint I have is that we weren't there long enough!!
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left everything was just perfect! We had 21 in our group, ranging from ages 2-45. The lodge was immaculate with plenty of nice touches. There were fresh baked cookies when we arrived and two little baggie with cotton balls and q-tips and a full bar of soap in each of the 8 bathrooms! The kitchen is well stocked with high quality dishes and glassware for at least 30 people. All of the cooking supplies are there and are in great condition. The spa is very clean. The fish pond (which is about 100 yards away) is stocked with rainbow trout! The garage has paddle boards, life jackets, fishing poles, etc... The deck is huge and very relaxing. All of the bedrooms are well appointed and fresh towels are neatly placed on each bed. The bottom of the bunk house is precious. Our kids LOVED sleeping down there. There are two full bathrooms and a ping pong table downstairs. Just to clarify, the beds at the bottom of the bunkhouse are beds not cots.
There are a few must dos:
1. Upper mesa falls. Wow, just gorgeous and about 20 minutes away.
2. BearWorld. It sounds corny but it's fabulous. You can feed bear cubs! Be sure to make a reservation though.
3. Cave Falls. Great easy hike in Yellowstone, about 30 minutes away.
A few of my favorite things:
The fishing pond
The sound of the river
As soon as we checked in, I felt like I was on vacation. I unpacked, sat down and watched the river go by. We had 8 children with us, which typically could be a bit stressful but not here. They ran, played, laughed, explored, fished, swam and then ran some more. Side note: This has to be the best hide and seek house ever!
I would love come back every year!
Thank you so much for a great property!
We had about 35 people stay here for our family reunion in mid-June. The main floor of the lodge was roomy and comfortable for everyone to hang out in, cook and eat together. The boys had a great time fishing in the nearby pond, and many enjoyed sitting on the deck over the river. There are two fire pits, but we had to cancel our outdoor evening plans as the mosquitoes got so bad as nightfall approached; instead we had microwaved s'mores! We got a little lost on our way in, but Peter was more than helpful and available for us to call as we drove in, and he got us squared away. I saw posts from last summer where people said the bunkhouse had cots rather than beds, but they are beds now. (10 of them.) They were a little short for some of the taller cousins - I don't think they're true twin-sized. But perfect for the smaller ones, and they LOVED the bunkhouse. I would advise people to bring their own soaps for the various bathrooms, and bring pitchers for juices, etc. Otherwise, they are pretty well-stocked. There is even a rice cooker and a crock pot. Debbie was very helpful beforehand as I contacted her many times asking various questions about what there was to do in the area. She replied quickly, and was gracious enough to mail back my mom's prescription sunglasses that were accidentally left. She and Peter greeted us upon our arrival and were super nice and likable!

The Fall River Lodge is located within 10 feet of the Fall River with a private fishing pond 50 yards away. The 40 acre parcel is beautifully wooded with pastures. The river can be waded or floated for your enjoyment. All buildings have views of the stunning river. There are no other homes to be seen from this property. It is contiguous to the Targhee National Forest with easy access to Yellowstone National Park.
We can recommend many fly fishing streams and guides. We are close to the Henrys' Fork of the Snake, Teton River and 1 hour to the South Fork of the Snake. For snowmobiling we have access to great riding trails to Yellowstone National Park or in the summer months Island Park' Horse rentals in Harriman State Park is 45 minutes away. Very close the upper and lower Mesa Falls.
The small community of Ashton Idaho is quaint and charming with a local grocery store and a number of diner's. It's just a short 12 mile drive into town.
