Our beautifully restored 1930's cottage is a charming escape in the quaint seaside town of Jenner By The Sea. Located where the mouth of the Russian River widens to meet the Pacific Ocean, this is a nature lovers paradise with miles of scenic hiking trails, extraordinary kayaking, bird watching, fishing and surfing all at your doorstep. The mouth of the river is a Marine Sanctuary and the home to an abundance of wildlife including Great Blue Heron, Bald Eagles, Harbor Seals, Otters and Osprey - just to name a few.
The property has multiple decks with plenty of areas for lounging and enjoying the spectacular views including a private hot tub deck, which is the perfect spot to end your day with a glass of wine as the sun sets. A meandering staircase leads you down to the riverfront where you can launch your kayak or canoe for a trip around Penny Island or take a picnic across the river to Goat Rock State Beach.
Whether you are soaking up the sun on the large deck or spinning records in front of the fire our 450 sq. ft. cabin with a cozy bedroom nook is all the space you need for a perfect getaway.

I grew up amongst the farms and vineyards of Sonoma County. After 20 years away I am back and enjoying all that Sonoma has to offer from the dramatic coast to the rolling hills and vineyards.
Lila Brown purchased this cottage in 2015
Jenner has always held a special place in my heart. My father lived here when I was young and I spent a lot of time in this magical little town.
River front. Stairs to the water. Private hot tub deck. And a short kayak trip to both Penny Island and Goat Rock State Beach! (We provide the kayaks)!
It's only one room, technically, but feels larger because it's so well laid out. Curtains shield sleepers from the rising sun, which fills the space with light from the skylight in the living room. Cars going by on the road above are noticeable only occasionally. The view from the deck is outstanding. Only the riverbank lies between the cottage and the water about 25 feet below. We could see sea lions diving, and flocks of pelicans flying in and out, and buzzards riding their circular air elevators across the river, and the weather coming in, and the tide going out, revealing and concealing the sand arrow at the end of the island in the river. We could see east to the river's bend and west to the sea lions snoozing on the beach at Goat Rock State Park. Inside, the kitchen is well stocked with cooking gear, coffee filters, etc. The things on the walls and little stuff sitting around are well chosen and arranged. A lot of craftspersonship went into the construction over time. The kayaks stayed dry. We really needed a relaxing getaway, and we got it. Aaaah. (The hot water tended to run out though, and we never found a wifi signal. Oh well.)
We loved our 2 night stay at La Bella Cabina and wished we could have stayed a week! The location & views are amazing. The cottage is quiet, beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the music selection, fireplace & hot tub. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
This place is adorable, clean and comfortable. We had a wonderful time away from everything. It's a super small town and no internet. But it was nice to be somewhat cut off from the rest of the world. Very relaxing place.
This lovely hideaway was everything we wanted and more...It has a beautiful panoramic view of the river from which you can see sunrise and sunset (at least the time of year we were there, late January). We also saw lots of seals and ducks and a couple of egrets. The retro cottage decor is charming and we thoroughly enjoyed the fireplace, spacious deck and hot tub, as well as the great vinyl and cd collection! The quaint kitchen is well outfitted to make everything from breakfast to dinner and everything was very clean and well-maintained. Their Cala lily garden grows the biggest Calas I've ever seen! We highly recommend scheduling a massage appointment with Lilah Tuttle. She was referred to us by Lila Brown, the owner, and makes house calls. This is the perfect place to rest, relax and rejuvenate!
Being in the cabin felt like I was in a magazine. It wasn't so feminine that my husband was weirded out (this phenomenon happens at the majority of B&Bs), but it was spectacularly adorable and comfortable. The perfect blend of eclectic elements (both old and new) and subtle regional decor. We used the hot tub and the kayaks and the record player (and DVD player too!). The cabin became the relaxing backdrop to our stress-free honeymoon, after a hectic few months. :)
Our property is located at the mouth of the Russian River. It is a perfect location for exploring the Sonoma Coast as well as the Russian River Wine Valley.
