The area is great for exploring, shopping, dinning, museums, or driving through the countryside.
The cabin is the perfect get- away from what ever you need a break from in life. Your privacy is assured.
A great relaxing weekend away! We loved seeing the horses and making a fire.
I have lost track....this was either our fourth time or fifth time at Break-away Farm..when you continue to return somewhere that's a review in itself. The cabin is as lovely as its always been; Wendy & Travis the perfect hosts...We enjoy our time there even more because of the dogs; Phoebe & the new addition Stella. Because of nice weather we decided to walk one of the trails this time & its really very nice. The cabin is clean, cozy, and comfortable - This really is one of the most peaceful places you can go. As always, I recommend this cabin without hesitation. You won't be sorry....We will be back, Chrissy, Art, & Ruby (the pup).
The cabin his nicely remodeled and cozy, especially the living room and bedroom. Working fireplace with plenty of firewood makes for a cozy stay in the winter. Bed is comfortable and all rooms are kept clean. My only suggestion for improvement... for a rustic cabin the bathroom is adequate but since the price to say a night is not super low I think the bathroom could use an update. But, as I stated, it is clean so it still gets 5 stars. Now, if they wanted to make this property off the charts... install a claw footed tub to soak in! Either way, we will be back. The quiet and solitude are tough to beat.
There couldn't have been a better place to spend Christmas away from home. This house is so quaint and cozy and well equipped. Wendy is very helpful. We can't wait to go back!
We had the loveliest weekend in Kirkwood at Breakaway farm. Our cabin was sweet, cozy, and fully stocked with thoughtful touches (soft sheets and towels were a big plus, as well as scented handsoaps and shampoo in the bath). We brought our 14 month old daughter and little dog with us, and they had the time of their lives visiting the horses and walking the gorgeous grounds of the farm. Wendy was attentive and helpful, checking in by text and answering questions very quickly, and, as many have mentioned, the four-legged greeting committee (pups Stella and Phoebe) are just the sweetest. We will definitely come back to Breakaway Farm and are so grateful to Wendy and family for the beautiful weekend!
Arrived on November 11th which happened to be a perfect chilly Autumn day. Met Wendy when I passed the cottage to turn around and was greeted with a warm, friendly welcome. Said she was available if we needed anything but assured us we would find the relaxation we were seeking. She was correct! So peaceful. My girlfriend had arrived about 20 minutes later and after unpacking started a fire in the cozy living room, fixed ourselves a drink and RELAXED! Took walks, ventured into the horse stables to pet the horses, drove into Amish country later that night and ventured into town on Saturday to check out the local shops and to a local watering hole, Ugly Mutts to watch the Ohio State game. Great place and atmosphere. Everyone was just so friendly and welcoming. We wanted to stay longer but unfortunately that thing called worked was waiting for us on Monday! Wendy, thank you for opening up your private little piece of heaven to us. We loved our stay and will definitely be back. Theresa & Lori
