In a two flats little building attached to the Bardini Museum, a very charming apartment of 54 square feets on two levels. At the first level one lounge with two windows on the street, one double room bed with a window on the street. Upstairs the dining room with the terrace, the kitchen and the bathroom. To be connected there's the new and fastest internet in Italy: 30 Mbps wi-fi. The apartment is located in a neighborhood that includes two markets, a bakery, several trattoria and a gelateria.
We're a family of four: dad, mum, two kids... five with our Golden Retriever Cora! We live next door to the flat, happy to help our guests make special their vacation in Florence.
Luca Lari purchased this apartment in 2000
The house is in the center but few steps out of the crowd, in the San Niccolò area. On foot you can reach every place of interest: Palazzo Vecchio in 5 minutes, Uffizi gallery in 8 minutes, the Dome in 15 minutes. In the balcony you'll have lovely meals.
The flat is our first house, where we lived together and where our first child was born. While we where having the second son, we renovated the flat beside and moved into it, because it's bigger. The flat is now as it was where we lived there, full equipped and with our idea of home. We hope you appreciate this!
This was a lovely, quirky, comfortable apartment beautifully situated within easy reach of all the wonderful sights of Florence. Small supermarket close by and a lovely sized terrace on which to enjoy dinner or just a glass of wine. Luca was very helpful and it was reassuring to know he was just next door should any problems arise. Would thoroughly recommend this rental.
My husband and I spent 9 nights at this very comfortable and totally charming apartment. It’s bigger than appears in the photos and having two floors makes it seem quite spacious. It’s well furnished with all necessities, very clean, with modern bathroom. The landlord, Luca, lives next door with his young family. He is friendly, helpful, and easily reachable. The location is perfect: one block from the Arno, about three blocks to an excellent small supermarket, ten minutes’ walk across the Ponte Vecchio to the Uffizzi. It is also just a five minutes’ walk from the trendy Oltrarno restaurant scene of San Niccolo. We ate twice at the family-run tratorria/pizzeria directly across the street and were amazed at its varied menu and reasonable prices. We wished we had made our reservation to stay even longer than 9 nights and dream of a return visit some day. Thanks, Luca!
Florence was the last stop on our 16-day vacation in Italy. We stayed in this apartment for 5 nights and absolutely loved it! The neighborhood was very quiet at night, even though the restaurants across and down the street didn't close until late. Which also offered us the option of staying out late and being close :) We were also able to walk everywhere (25 minute leisurely walk for us from the apartment to the train station - which we would consider to be the "farthest point"). We were so glad to have the washing machine (which is pretty quiet, by the way) for fresh clothes, and all of the kitchen needs for meals. Luca also left us with a nice bottle of wine and items to make dinner. The wifi was a little spotty on the last couple of days, but we were so busy we didn't really care. If you stay here the Piazzale Michelangiolo is very close (10 minute walk) and in our opinion a MUST-SEE. Spectacular views!! Definitely recommend this apartment!
This flat is a comfortable retreat in the center of Florence, just steps from the Arno and a stunning view of the legendary Ponte Vecchio. From the moment that Luca (the owner) greeted us, we felt quite at home. The accommodation is well-equipped and clean.
The Santo Spirito - Palazzo Pitti
area is in the very heart of Florence, where this charming two floor apartment sleeps two people very comfortably.
Attached to the Bardini Museum (a must see), this 54-square foot bi-level unit offers a first level lounge with flat screen tv and the fastest internet in Italy: 30 Mbps wi-fi.
Also, on the lower level - a period bedroom boasts a king bed with desk, side tables, and plenty of room for suitcases.
Upstairs, the dining room with a fully-equipped kitchen and outdoor terrace supply a Tuscan feel. We appreciated the washing machine, plentiful linens, and welcomed the great AC - as Florence was quite hot in July (during our visit).
A cozy bathroom with shower is located on the upper level as well.
The flat is a typical Tuscan city-style abode, decorated accordingly to reflect an atmosphere of history and charm.
It's located in a perfect neighborhood that includes two markets, a bakery, several trattoria, and a great Gelateria, there is no need for a car or bus as all that is Florence can be found easily on foot.
Due to its extraordinary location, this unit simply is ideal for a pleasant and relaxing stay; one literally immersed in the fascinating beauty and vitality of quaint, old town, Florence. With its immediately recognizable architecture, palazzos, galleries, and cafes, Florence offers a peerless cultural, artistic, and history-based center in an magnificently beautiful ancient city.
We really enjoyed our stay. The flat is located not too far from main attractions (10 minute walk across the Arno River) but far enough from the crowd. We walked everywhere and only took a taxi to and from the train station. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals at home. Laundry washer is in unit and works well but a little loud. Wifi worked wonderfully. We didn't get to enjoy the balcony due to rainy weather, but would be great for warm weather. Our host was very welcoming and helpful. They provided restaurant recommendations and shared a few travel guides. We loved Florence and hope to return. When we do we hope to stay here again!
This place is great. A 5 minute walk to Uffizi and other sights not further than 15 min, yet in a very nice quiet area, 1/2 block to the Arno river, one bridge from Ponte Vecchio. Very good pizza right across the street, and they even stocked the flat with some Pasta, Sauce & Wine. Luca and his wife- who live just accross the hall, are very accommodating and helpful (even lined me up with an excellent Chiropractor when my back needed mending). The Flat is spacious for two, and extremely well equipped, a nice terrace, good large bed, really cute and functional kitchen you will be very happy there !!
