We were very happy with our stay. The kitchen was the best. Fully equipped. Top quality dishes, pans, etc. Hot tub and pool were just perfect. The master suite was nice, but the mattress was not comfortable, very soft. The mattresses in the 2 other rooms were better. The 2 non-master bedrooms weren't much, but certainly sufficient for a place to sleep. The carpeting in the bedrooms could have been nicer. TV channels were very limited. It was immaculately clean when we arrived (except for spots and wear and tear in bedroom carpeting). It was adequately supplied with all our needs, except for washcloths, which once reported, were quickly supplied to us. Plenty of towels and beach towels. Even beach chairs and a beach umbrella. The location was very quiet, even the resident neighbors were friendly to us. Not the place to go if you're seeking excitement. Every nearby restaurant we tried had good food (Marie's Pizzeria and Restaurant (the BEST!), South Cape Diner (great breakfast), Tiki Hut, Iguana Mia) and no crowds. It was a great vacation for our extended family of 7, ranging in age from 1-80 years old. We went to the public beach at Sanibel Island which was very nice. Tried to go the beach at Fort Myers but could not find parking. We did see 1 palmetto bug in the bathroom and a spider outside on the deck that when we first saw it, we thought was a small crab. But hey, it's Florida, right? I requested a pack and play and high chair prior to our arrival and they were there when we walked in the door. Overall, a very pleasant experience. I'd give it 4 1/2 stars if that was an option.
We had a great time!! This home is close to everything, the hatch club for the drink of the day and sanibel and captiva. Just a great time relaxing.at the pool and boating in the sound. Loved it.
Booked rental through owner which was a friend of my sister. Big mistake. Home is NOT as described. Pictures are old- probably taken when they purchased home.
Upon arrival- house had an odor, dead roaches in master bedroom, master bath needed grout cleaned and shower curtain has mold on it. Master bath is very very small. Barely room to move around. Plantation shutters falling apart. 2nd bedroom sheets required washing before use because of 2 stains. 1 stain removed with wash. Bathroom door fell of hinges. Patched up hole in the wall in main bathroom. Central air is poor. Pool needs attention. We had to leave the home due to conditions. If you don't care about cleanliness, roaches or odors, this place would do. Called management company on welcome letter in the home. Spoke with 1 person who stated she no longer worked for them, 2nd person never called back. Owner said she would have sent people if we told her sooner. Even if people were sent to repair all items- home was not acceptable. I wish I could give 0 stars but this site requires at least 1.
What a beautiful house and perfect location for us. We brought our boat and kids to enjoy the Caloosahatchee/Fort Myers/Sanibel waters and had a great time. Super quick and easy access to the river and surrounding waters with several close marinas with restaurants to eat at and gas up. The house was spacious and upgraded. The backyard area was where we spent most of our time in the pool, jacuzzi and tiki bar on the dock. There were a few very minor issues with things in the house, but the agent quickly responded and fixed them. We loved our stay and will definitely rent this house again!
Upon walking in the front door, the home was not cleaned from the prior rental. There were unmade beds, piles of dirty towels and dirty bathrooms. We called the phone number given and the entire cleaning crew arrived shortly thereafter. They were so very nice and did a fabulous job!! The place was clean and beautiful.
We totally enjoyed the house, the pool, the dock and the boat lift! We had a great time! The home had everything we needed. It was accurately portrayed in the pictures. The house is in a nice neighborhood and we enjoyed evening walks. It's close to all the grocery stores, drug stores and restaurants were easy to get to in the evening. We could live here!! Thanks for a wonderful vacation!!
