Stylish, historic home where you can rockstar it up or relax in plush surroundings, just 4 blocks from all the downtown action. The home has been featured in magazines and home show and comes in at 2500 sq ft with 4 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths.
The home features an open plan and a chef's kitchen executed in walnut and stainless. Flat screen TV in living area and stereo throughout the public areas, inside and outside, ensures everyone is happy. AT&T Giga Wifi throughout.
The master bedroom has a king-sized bed. Two rooms have queen-sized beds and one bedroom has a double bed. Each room has unique character and style.
In front, a hammock swings from the columned front porch. And a cocktail area with music balances the other side of the porch.
Out back is a stylish modern swimming pool with hot tub, a deck, outdoor dining table, gas grill and a deck for soaking in rays poolside.
The rental is on the edge of downtown, in a walkable, historic neighborhood known as Clarksville. There are 6 or 7 restaurants, bars, a wine and liquor store, and a bakery all just a 5-minute walk from the house. Whole Foods' flagship is a 7-minute walk away. We've got plenty of retail shopping nearby: By George, named one of the nation's top fashion boutiques; Anthropologie; BookPeople; Waterloo Records; Lululemon; Kick Pleat; Lush; Amy's Ice Cream; Wildflower Organics; plus a plethora of local galleries and boutiques.
Austin's beloved hike and bike trail around Ladybird Lake is a 10-minute walk away. Gym, yoga and spas are 5 minutes away. The nearest mani-pedi is 3 minutes by car.
All major Austin activities are within a mile or two of the house.
NOTE ON RATES: My minimum stay is 3 nights at $900 each and $800 for additional nights on Monday, Tuesday, and/or Wednesday. During festival weekends, my nightly rate rises with the rest of the market.
Because of the delicate nature of the house, all members of the rental party must at least 30 years old and must provide IDs. Renters may not use the location to host events. Sorry, fellas, no bachelor parties.
We take, on average, only one booking a month so please plan ahead.
Please note: the home is part of a neighborhood and as such is subject to Austin's strict sound ordinance. From 10:30pm to 7am, you can’t make noise or play music that is even audible to the next door neighbors. If either the police or I receive a complaint about your party, your full $2000 Damage Deposit will be forfeited.

About Charles Webre
I am a creative director of a local advertising agency. My job and my personal interests take me out of town often, and I lease out my house when I am gone, investing the money back into the house to make it nicer for the next renter. I grew up internationally and have done the same in my adult life, living in New York, London, and Paris. Additionally, I travel extensively for pleasure, always as far as I can go. As a result, my home is a working travelers guide. A bibelot from this country, a painting from that. My aesthetic is urban contemporary, with a bit of Zsa-Zsa Gabor thrown in for good measure.

Why Charles Webre chose Clarksville
I first lived in the area when I was a student at University of Texas. And then to New York after graduation. But as luck would have it, when I returned 20 years later I was able to find a house on the very same street as I lived on before! The house is as close to downtown as you can get while still having a yard. I like the elegant nature of an older home. And this one, built in 1915, is elegant but with a modern and relaxed sensibility.

The home is very comfortable and we loved the motif. The neighborhood is super convenient.
Our family had a delightful stay in Clarksville. The house felt like home. Everything was clean and ready for us, including the beautiful gift basket. We loved the pool and napping in the hammock on the front porch! I’m in love with this neighborhood- close to downtown, restaurants and shopping. Clean, modern, beautiful poolside retreat
This house exceeded expectations!! We were expecting a chic bungalow with pool but found ourselves in a very clean, modern yet comfortable, spacious home, with a beautiful private back yard. Despite being close to neighbors, we had so much privacy in the backyard yet were still in the heart of a city. The location was a quick 5-10 minute cab ride from work out spots (Soul Cycle/Orange Theory), top restaurants, trendy bars, and sites but we also walked a lot as the neighborhood had liquor store, whole foods, bakery/cafe, great restaurants, taco stand, the river, all within a few minutes walk. Charles was very quick to respond to all my emails, very helpful and accommodated our early check in/late check out requests. Communication was thorough and easy with his arrival packet. Everything was as he said it was. Thank you Charles for the awesome weekend home!! We will book this house again if we come back to ATX.
Perfect house and great location!
We stayed here for our girls weekend. It was a perfect house for us. The yard was so relaxing and the house was perfectly located. Loved everything about it!
Beautiful Home in Wonderful Location
We rented this home for our sales and marketing team during SXSW and absolutely loved staying here! The house is gorgeous and the decor was so cool and so Austin! Our team enjoyed quality linens, a well equipped kitchen, and spent every night in the gorgeous hot tub. Charles and his family left a thoughtful basket of snacks that we all enjoyed along with perfect instructions and local recommendations. Within walking distance to Whole Foods, a liquor store, and cafes, we were in heaven. Would highly recommend this place and would love to stay again next year!
We had a great stay at this beautiful home. It offers everything you could want: location, comfort, style, a pool, and the most considerate hosts. Everything in the house is clearly labeled for guests, even the tv remotes and they provide a clear thorough book of instructions for everything and information about the neighborhood and house, even where to get coffee. Plus there's a welcome basket filled with treats and goodies when you arrive, clean towels wrapped in ribbons and new bars of soap.
A gem in Austin
Beautiful home, phenomenal location and really thoughtful hosts. We had assorted family staying over Thanksgiving week and everyone was very pleased. The hosts have truly thought of everything that one might need, and even left an incredible welcome basket. Top-notch.
