Hi. I'm Matthew and it will be my pleasure to welcome you to our apartments in Buenos Aires. As an Argentine national I really enjoy helping visitors get the best out of their stay in Argentina. I can recommend a lot of things to do, see and eat while you are here. My aim is to make your visit as enjoyable as possible so please don't hesitate to contact me for additional information. I look forward to welcoming you to Buenos Aires.
Tomorrow we will conclude our stay in this beautiful apartment. It is hard to find words to express how attached we feel to this city, this neighborhood, and to our host, Matthew. In the month we have been here, this friendly neighborhood has felt like home. Our stay began with a leisurely stroll through the surrounding streets with Matthew; he pointed out cafes, bakeries, restaurants and cleaners which have now become our favorites. Our initial visit with him concluded with lemonade and medialunas to refresh our travel-weary spirits. Since that time, he has attended to our every need -- from arranging rides to and from the airport for our arrival and the arrivals of family members, recommendations for sightseeing and dining, and, most importantly, the feeling that we had a friend in a city that was new to us. The apartment was wonderfully located; we walked to many areas of the city from here, and mass transportation is located just a few blocks away. This old building is beautiful, and served the needs of four adult travelers very well. It is located on a quiet corner in an architecturally stunning neighborhood. However, the most important part of any experience is the people; Matthew, with his kind and generous heart, was the perfect introduction to the life and culture of Buenos Aires. We are forever grateful for the time we were able to spend with him, for the amenities of this apartment, and for living the magical life of Buenos Aires for this month.
We arrived at this apartment on a Saturday and Nico was there to meet us and our 3 large suitcases! Thankfully the building has a small but delightful old elevator that helped us up to the fourth floor apt. The two bedrooms were great, as well at the fully stocked kitchen! We frequented the large grocery store about 2 blocks away almost every other night, as we had gotten a little tired of being out all day and then eating until midnight every night! As was mentioned in previous reviews the wifi was hit and miss for most our stay there. The cafe below the apartment was great for a cafe con leche and pastries! The apartment was in a great location, with several great restaurants within walking distance, as well as supermarkets and stores. Matt was very responsive via email and easy to work with and Nico was great handling the check in and check out as Matt was back in America for a month or so. I would say in conclusion that this property was a great value and a great location and I would highly recommend it!
This is a wonderful apartment in one of the best areas of the city. Within walking distance you have great restaurants, shopping, and everything else you could possibly want. It is only about five blocks from a major subway line and ten blocks from another. The neighborhood is very safe, even when walking home at 2 or 3 in the morning! On Saturdays and Sundays you can walk to Plaza Francia to a wonderful outdoor market and the Recoleta cemetery, where Evita is buried. The building is beautiful and the apartment is stylish and roomy. My wife and I and three kids stayed comfortably for a week. Access to the internet made the kids happy and allowed me to take care of emergencies at the office back home. Matthew was very attentive to all our needs and very easy to work with. There is a small grocery store across the street where you can get anything you need to cook at home, if you are so inclined. We even had our clothes washed, dried and folded by a nearby laundry for very cheap. Many small cafes nearby ensure you will always have a delicious breakfast of pastries and coffee. When we come back, we will stay here again. I highly recommend this place!
THANKS MATTHEW . Matthew was very helpful and kind during my time in BA. Moreover, he is bilingual and also speaks french, so he was great giving us directions and suggestions about the city, attractions, and restaurants.
Lovely apartment, nice, comfortable, frenchy style, and clean. His thorough knowing of Buenos Aires was really useful and although I travelled alone, I visited and spent wonderful times based on his suggestions. The area where the building is well-located, with buses & subway, only one block away. Quiet neighbours!
I definitely recommend this apartment !
I want thank Matthew because we had a great time at the apartment and the city. The apartment is quite beautiful and it has amazing French architecture. It is located in the best area of the town. He was there with Sole to check us in and he gave us a free late check out because our flight didn't leave until late at night. I definitely recommend this amazing apartment and i want to thank Matthew all of his recommendations. Especially "El Establo" restaurant. and the Museo de Bellas Artes
Matthew was the consummate host during our time in Buenos Aires. As he lived in the States for 15 years, his English is excellent, plus he has the benefit of knowing Buenos Aires thoroughly. Matthew responded readily (and quickly) with whatever we needed.
The apartments are comfortable, charming, and well-located, good for families who might need two units close together. Or just one apartment.
We heartily recommend you stay here!
My name is Matthew and I would like to welcome you to our apartments.
First of all, let me describe the apartments. These are truly singular properties, located on a residential street, yet just one block from Avenida Pueyrredon with its shops and businesses. Just a few short blocks to the Recoleta Village or Plaza Barrientos areas with their restaurants, shopping, nightlife, and other attractions. The area is safe and has all of the modern conveniences.
Second, because I am a native of Buenos Aires ('porteno' in Argentine) I always take a personal interest in providing our guests with all of the information they need to enjoy the city to its fullest. Buenos Aires is one of the most cosmopolitian, sophisticated and fun cities in the world. It is nearly as large in terms of population as New York and has all of the amenities and excitement that one expects in a big city. Because of its European heritage Buenos Aires is often compared to Paris or Barcelona. I know that once you stay in Buenos Aires you will find it as exciting as I do. I would be delighted to provide you with additional information via phone or email noted on this webpage. So, please feel free to contact me for addtional information.
