Thank you so much for your most pleasant hospitality and allowing us to stay in your very pretty executive apartment for a couples/friends four night get-away from the city! As a group of six adults friends/couples, we were very comfortable and enjoyed your Immaculately clean, very comfortable, spacious and most lovely accommodations. We loved how the apartment home sits on a large private, yard and we really enjoyed being surrounded by mature trees and plantings as the setting was so peaceful, quiet, relaxing and rejuvenating! And 2 minutes to the nearest beach with gorgeous views of Martha's Vineyard and spectacular sunsets with a bottle of wine are Just what we needed to escape the hustle and bustle of New York City!
Your executive apartment is just as described.. it was completely private with our own private entrance to the second floor and we enjoyed complete privacy and quietness throughout the week. After you did the meet & greet & property-walk thru to ensure our complete satisfaction, it seems you were very much on the go and traveling quite a bit , and if you were on site in your private apartment, we didn't really notice as you were completely respectful as to our privacy. Yet, if we called our texted with questions, such as when we needed the code to the WIFI, or copies of our lease to get our weekly beach pass or suggestions for waterfront dining, you responded within five minutes of our text--- now that is service!
We loved the modern , contemporary , comfortable pretty furnishings throughout all the rooms! You certainly have a flair for tastefully decorating ! We had complete privacy and quietness throughout the week and our group of six enjoyed lovely quality time together! One night, was rainy and cold so we did order the fully cooked clambake dinner that you suggested , just a two minute drive from your home and picked up some wine right next door ( this was awesome & convenient) and because it was a bit chilly, we turned on the gas fireplace in the dining area and thoroughly enjoyed every moment of simply heaven and made celebrating our anniversary so special!
As coffee is a must for our gang.. We also enjoyed leisurely mornings reading and enjoying our Keurig coffee , that you were so kind to leave as part of a "welcoming basket" , on your sunny balcony- So peaceful !
We can not wait to rebook your pretty apartment in the fall for a three or four night get-away--for more relaxation, exploring, sunsets and lobster!
We rented this house in August 2016 and despite receiving a thank you from the homeowner for taking good care of her house and a promise to return my security deposit, I still have not received my deposit. I called, texted, e-mailed, and sent messages through VRBO and have now opened a dispute with my credit card company. For the record, the homeowner had issues in terms of lack of responsiveness from the very beginning and I had actually booked a hotel as well because it took her months to get a contract to me and I feared not having place to stay in Falmouth.
If you are willing to risk losing your deposit, here is a review of the house: The location of the house is great. The house was perfect for 4 adults and a toddler (though there is no gate on the stairs so I would worry about kids younger than 3 at this property). We did not spend a lot of time at the beach but the chairs, umbrellas, etc. were a great option. The house was clean, the shower pressure was great! It was nice having a kitchen to warm up leftovers but there is no stove; just a hotplate. The house had been decorated nicely, though we were out a lot so we did not take advantage of everything provided.
Despite the very nice accommodations, the lack of responsiveness of the homeowner is very problematic. I have been trying for 2 weeks to get in touch with the owner via numerous communication methods who promised to return the security deposit back well over a month ago.
If you chose to risk your security deposit, here is a review of the house: The location of the house is perfect to get to so many areas. The house was perfect for 4 adults and a toddler. We did not spend a lot of time at the beach but the chairs, umbrellas, etc. were a great option. The house was clean, the shower pressure was great! It was nice having a kitchen to warm up leftovers! The house had been decorated nicely, though we were out a lot so we did not take advantage of everything you provided.
The property is a nice area. Owner appeared to be nice, but issues arose later in the vacation as well as time progressed. But this is where it ends for me on the pros.... There are a lot of houses to choose from, but this was the wrong house for my family and I. My own fault! Should have been diligent on my search for a home to rent. We rented in the end of August 2016. There is a security deposit for damages that should be returned within 14 days, and/or 30 days maximum allowed as per the owners contract per Massachusetts housing law. It is Oct. 1, 2016, and I am still waiting for the damage deposit to be returned to my credit card. This is in despite of attempting to contact the owner multiple times via text, phone calls, contact through home away and any other avenue I could explore. No contact was made and Home away has opened their own inquiry and told me to file a complaint and review, since they attempted contact and she has ignored their messages as well as mine. I am now disputing with my credit card company as well. No damage was done to the owner's home, so the fee should be returned promptly. I have pictures of such proof and the owner never filed a report with home away to indicate there were damages. Don't take a chance with the owner holding your security damage deposit hostage.
Now on to the property... Primarily, the owner advertised this house with a deck and fireplace. We were no allowed to use neither as per owner. Then why advertise with these amenities? You see her description with pictures of the deck and fireplace... Big time bait.....I bit.....to be disappointed.
Secondly, The owner is on-site and apparently likes to come up to the apartment when your not around. Invasion of privacy! How do I know???.....She left curtains for us in the living room when we were not around for the day. She could have left it on the stairs, but I guess she figures it's her house and she can do as she pleases.
Another aspect that bothered me, the owner advertised having the house with beach rights. This saves you money....right? Actually, wrong! The owner told me to pay the beach fee per day at the beach entrance, since it was easier. Another bait....in conclusion, the property is nice and the area as well, but there are many troubles that come with renting from this owner. I was sorry I had to write this review, but maybe people should know what they are getting into and there are other properties available.
Excellent place to stay in the Fallmouth area. Close to beach and Hwy 28. Beds are extremely comfortable. Executive apartment has plenty of room for six adults. The only drawback is it is ontogeny second floor and not suitable for persons with mobility issues. Loved the hot water outside shower and owner can provide you with lots of information about the local area. Location is great for day trips to Martha's Vineyard, Plymouth, Hyannis, and Ptown
We liked the whole place! Three sleeping areas/bedrooms. Two full bathrooms. AC where needed. T
Had such a wonderful time on the cape! Martha was very helpful, provided us with everything we needed. The house was as described, bedrooms were very comfortable, layout worked well for a group. The location was a short drive to the beach, great seafood place down the road and close to some fun bars/restaurants. Would definitely recommend this property.

Must do day one of visit to Falmouth: drive or bike ride along Menhaunt Rd(very scenic ocean view & martha's vineyard view) from Menhaunt Beach toward Falmouth Heights through Falmouth Heights and onto Woods Hole... follow the ocean route the entire way. Breathtaking beauty everywhere...stop for pictures & lunch at the Casino restaurant on the ocean & get seated on the outdoor deck with gorgeous ocean views & views of Martha's Vineyard! Then continue on to Falmouth Harbor area and stroll along the marina area, where there is a paved path that you can stoll along & admire all the beautiful large boats & yachts as well as their are three restaurants on the marina such as the Flying Bride or the Boat House that you can grab lunch, dinner or drinks & proceed on you breathtaking 'tour' along the ocean route as you head to Nobska Lighthouse for more stunning views & sights.
