Family friendly roomy home.
Why Margaret Sheen chose Hammondsport
We have five children. We have grown up on and absolutely love the fingerlakes. We know what it is like to attempt to find a vacation home that comfortably and affordably fits us all. That is why we are opting to leasing our lakehouse during the weeks we are busy with kids' baseball, soccer, dance, lacrosse and basketball. :-). To let others be able to experience this region's beauty with their family!

The home was very roomy, you felt comfortable and it has a great enclosed sun-porch. We spent our mornings drinking coffee. Strolled down to the lake and hung out on the dock. My family wants to go back in late summer for another reunion. We weren't missing anything for cooking, sleeping.
Sweet house and property
Tim and Margaret have a real gem here and the six of us had a great weekend at their house!
The Finger Lakes have so much to see and do that a weekend is never long enough but it’s all the time we had this visit. The house is well appointed with plenty of room to hang out on rainy days - and we loved the spiral staircase. Great patio with an outside fireplace at the house and the dock area is just perfect with a fire ring and lots of toys for the water. You’re 7 minutes to Hammondsport for casual and fine dining, plus a well stocked grocery store, ice cream and antique shops. Many wineries, breweries and distilleries within minutes. We highly recommended Keuka Brewing Co., The Brewery of Broken Dreams and Great Western (Pleasant Valley) winery. All-in-all a perfect location to head out for daily excursions. Thanks again for sharing your house with us! It was a memorable weekend. We all wished we didn’t have to leave
Wonderful Wineglass Weekend!
We had a great stay for the Wineglass Marathon Weekend! A great house with tons of space! Thank you for making everything so easy and great. The stairwell is tight, but even after a marathon, we were able to manage it. Would definitely recommend to anyone!
Excellent Dock Space and Room for Large Groups
Our group of 10 people thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this house! The place had an incredible deck space right off the house with a fire pit, grill, and plenty of seating for all. The docks were also a wonderful feature that allowed us to access the lake after a quick (but steep) hike down to several kayaks, paddle boards, and a canoe. I would also recommend it for its close proximity to the wineries, breweries, and distilleries on the West side of the lake.
Overall pretty nice place
The walk up from the beach is a work out but the privacy of the beach and house are worth the walk
A New Family Tradition
My family and I have stayed at this wonderful property two years in a row now. Both trips have been absolutely wonderful. On our second trip, we found that a lot of the furniture had been updated and the kayaks down by the water had been joined by two paddleboards, which quickly became everyone’s favorite part of our time on the lake itself. The owners are incredibly responsive and accommodating and I have had nothing but great interactions with them. On our second trip we were all already scheming to come back. I think it’s safe to say that staying here has become a new yearly tradition.
