This 1930's vintage seaside cottage is located at 4214 6th Street in the desirable East Beach community, on a large beachfront home site, with ample lawn space for play. Our charming one story home features hardwood floors throughout the house. A spacious kitchen, open dining room, large gathering area, and sitting porches on both ends of the house create an inviting flow. A large screened back porch, cooled by ocean breezes and overhead fans, is the idyllic spot for morning coffee or afternoon tea and communing with friends and family. Off the central living area, are four bedrooms with the adjoining three full baths.

Though this home is oceanfront, approximately 300+ feet of land has built up over time between the house and the beach, and ocean views are obstructed by the vegetation and natural dune line. Access to our noticeably quiet section of beach, though, is an easy 2-3 minute walk by path. A beach pull-cart is provided to ease transport of your towels and chairs, etc.

If you are looking for an excursion to the quaint village, it is merely a short drive or bike ride to the pier, restaurants and shopping area. And don't forget to check out the Island's Water Park! St. Simons has something to offer all ages!


Due to changes in the booking platform, prices will increase in 2018.

**NOTE- This cottage may not be rented for house parties, and can not be rented for the purpose of holding a wedding and/or reception or large gathering. The maximum occupancy can not be exceeded w/o prior permission. Failure to comply will result in immediate eviction without refund.

A nice perk of this property is that the owner lives a short distance away and is readily available should any issue need attention.

  • There is a Pac-n-play available, but you need to supply your own linens. *Can sleep 10 if two people sleep together in each of the double beds. **There is also an extra twin mattress that can be set up on the floor to sleep 11 total. Please request the mattress to make sure it is on site. IF someone wants to sleep outside on the screened in porch, there is a swinging twin bed, so maximum occupancy comes to 12.

There is a detached garage that is ~ 40 feet from the house which has an above-the-garage apartment that is a separate rental unit. The unit has it's own parking area, and the renter does not have access to the rental property listed here. **NOTE- Four cars can park in front of the garage and two in the public access spaces (if they are not already taken) at the end of the road.

Spacious house tucked away in East Beach!

My extended family and I really enjoyed the screened front and back porches, proximity to the beach, large living area, and multiple king-sized beds. The next time we all get together on St Simons, we will be booking this place again!

Great place

My family and I just finished up a stay at the cottage. It was perfect for our needs. Super close to the beach and downtown/'village'. Great open dining/living room area for entertaining a family members also visiting the island. Also a the big porch for those who like hanging outside as well as a nice large yard for kids to play in. Very good price.

Perfect fit!

We rented this property for 10 adult family members, ranging in age from 82-20. It fit our needs perfectly! The central living space is much larger than it appears in photos and we could all gather there comfortably. The beds were very comfortable and overall the property was nice and clean. The cottage is older and has great character. Yes, it could use a little TLC but nothing that interfered with our stay. Not having accessible closets in each room was a bit of issue too but we worked around it. We did not use the front porch, but some of us were on the back porch every night. More than once, someone fell asleep while lying on the swinging twin bed!

The walk to the beach midday in July is brutal. The field you have to cross is not shaded at all. Luckily, it's not a long walk and you're welcomed by sea breezes and cool water upon arrival. Thank goodness for the beach cart provided as well. Could not have done it without it!!

We did not have to contact the owner at all during our stay, but leading up to the stay, Natalie was very responsive to any questions. Best pointer, a golf cart is nice, but certainly not necessary!!

Because our party came from different locations to meet at this property, we had 4 vehicles, including 2 mid-size SUVs and a large truck. Parking was tight, but absolutely do-able.

We had such a great time together that we're talking about trying to make this an annual event. Thanks for the memories!! And we hope to see you again.

Perfect house for our large family vacation!

We had such a great time at this house for our annual family vacation! We had between 13-15 people during our week long stay and all slept very comfortably. The location can't be beat! Just a short walk or golf card ride through a scenic meadow to the beach. Even in the middle of summer, the beach was never crowded. We also really enjoyed the proximity to the Village restaurants and shops as well as riding bikes on the streets surrounding the house. We thoroughly enjoyed the very large and comfortable screened porch in the mornings with coffee and in the evenings with cocktails! This house was perfect for our large extended family, but would also be a great fit for 2 or 3 small families or couples. The house was clean and neat and the property manager was very accommodating and easy to work with. We would definitely return to this house for a future vacation!

Beautiful property with close walk to the beach

Loved this house, very quiet area. Great place for young kids, loved having the back yard to play in with a porch view. Super convienant walk to the beach. Loved that the house was furnished with beach chairs and wagons to take our stuff back and forth. My 3 y/o son tried to convince me this was our new house and we weren't going home! Will definitely be staying here again!!

Wonderful long weekend at this very special house.

This charming East Beach house if full of character and old-style ambience. The location is perfect; 5 minutes from almost anything on the island but feels like you are away from all hustle and bustle. I love East Beach, and this house made my morning beach walk such a pleasure. This is the best place on the island. Natalie responded to our needs quickly and efficiently and made things easy.
