Overview

New Hope House Rental Photos and Description

House, 2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths (Sleeps 4)

Our architecturally unique hideaway is located in bucolic Bucks County, Pennsylvania a little more than one mile from downtown New Hope. The “treehouse” is nestled at the peak of Solebury Mountain on a one acre wooded lot. This Topsider brand hexagon home has 360 degrees of windows so nature can be enjoyed from every room. You could stay a weekend, a week or a month and still not experience everything Bucks County has to offer. Namely, the almost unlimited number of boutique and antique shops and award winning restaurants of New Hope, Lambertville (2.0 miles), Newtown (11 miles), Lahaska (4 miles) and Doylestown (10 miles). Or venture north and south along the Delaware River and experience the charming towns on both the Pennsylvania side (Washington Crossing, Yardley, Carversville, Upper Black Eddy) or the New Jersey side (Lambertville, Frenchtown, Rosemont, and Stockton).

Bucks County is home to acres of preserved farm land and boasts 9 wineries and offers year round activities. It is conveniently located 30 miles from Philadelphia and 70 miles from NYC with train service from nearby Yardley, Princeton or Trenton train stations. Come watch the leaves change, pick apples (Solebury Orchards) tackle the Amazing Maize Maze (Howell Farm - Titusville), cheer on the High Heel Drag Queen Halloween Night Race (New Hope), take a Ghost Tour (New Hope) or view the Scarecrow Exhibit (Peddler’s Village – Lahaska) in the autumn. In winter the New Hope/Lambertville Winter Fest held in January brings out ice sculpters, live bands and cold weather activities. Or get in the holiday mood by viewing the Grand Illumination at Peddler’s Village (Lahaska) and checking out the Gingerbread House competition. Or jump on the New Hope/Ivyland Railroad for a ride with Santa and then head out to the Byer’s Choice Factory (Chalfont). Don't miss the re-enactment of Washington Crossing the Delaware on Christmas Day. No better time than spring to flea market (Golden Nugget – Lambertville, Rice’s Market – New Hope) or welcome the shad at the annual Shad Fest (Lambertville) which brings over 10,000 visitors to the area. Ahh, summer in Bucks! Countless farm markets for picking or enjoying the fruit of the land. Canoe the Delaware River, bike the canal path, watch fireworks from the New Hope/Lambertville Bridge, dine al fresco (too many to mention!) hike through Ringing Rock State Park (Upper Black Eddiy – don’t forget your hammer the rocks really do ring) or take the kids to Sesame Place. The options are limitless!

Exhausted after your daily outing? Head back to our cozy treehouse and relax by the firepit . The “treehouse” is newly decorated with sleek, modern décor. It can comfortably accommodate 2 – 4 people. Square footage is 900 sf interior space and 200 sf outside decking. It may, however, not be suitable for a young child or physically challenged adult due to an open, spiral staircase. The home can be accessed from the second floor to avoid use of the staircase if necessary. Please call the owners with any questions.

Circumstances do not permit us to live in the home yet (i.e. a family) but we know in the future it will be our “happy place”. Come enjoy our Tree House for a long weekend, a month or longer.

About Owner/Manager

We recently purchased this property because of its tree top location and its unique architectural style. At some time in the future when we are empty nesters we expect to live in our 'tree house' part of the year. Until then, we are sharing its beauty with you.

Why Owner/Manager chose Bucks County

We live in Bucks County and love the location with its proximity to the Delaware River, New Hope and Lambertville. It is a wonderful place to live or vacation.

Beautiful, quiet, and well equipped home

  • 5 of 5

We were in Buck's County for a wedding near Doylestown and to reconnect with old friends. The Treehouse was perfect for our family's needs. How wonderful to wake up with a woodland view. We especially enjoyed coffee on the deck in the morning with our son and daughter. Would definitely stay here again. Thanks Lisa and Ken.

Beautiful Unique Rental

  • 5 of 5

This was our first trip with our 3 month old and he loved it! Coming down the driveway was like being transported into the forest. The floor to ceiling windows all around made it seem like you were right in the trees! Our son would sit and stare out at the view from the living room for hours!!!! The grill was great!!

Amazing Girls Trip

  • 5 of 5

What a treat! My best friend came to visit and we were looking for a quick escape from the city. This place was a dream. It's such a unique home with beautiful grounds covered in plants and flowers which attracted dozens of butterflies. We even saw a deer one morning. The fire pit was great. We went to the store and bought our own wood because we wanted to be outside every night and they only supply 4 logs per stay. Definitely worth the short trip to the store. Inside was very accommodating- comfy beds and good air conditioning. You can't ask for much more. They only have a love seat and not a full couch which was, in our opinion, the only negative about the property. But really, who cares? Get outside and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Secluded New Hope Tree House a Restful Haven

  • 5 of 5

The property was lovely. Words that come to mind are peaceful, restful, serene, tranquil, soothing. You feel as though you are literally in the woods themselves with the floor to ceiling windows and the octagonal shaped built right into the slope of the hill. While there are neighboring houses you get a sense of seclusion indefinitely feel more a part of the woods than of the urban scene just minutes away.

The condition of the property was fine and the owners made it clear that they were available if we had questions or needed any assistance.

We would definitely recommend the property to other similarly inclined travelers.

We took in a play at the Bucks County playhouse and visited the Michener Museum in Doylestown. We took day trips along the Delaware visiting, besides our home base of New Hope, Lambertville, Stockton, Washington's Crossing, Pineville, and many other delightful locations. In terms of dining, we especially enjoyed Bowman's Tavern and the Pineville Tavern. If you have even the slightest love for ice cream you should definitely list oWowCow (not a typo; that's the name) in Lambertville. It's one of a kind. The same can be said for Dilly's Corner for lunch or a snack, an unusual and delightful spot.

All in all we had a wonderful stay.

The Perfect Private Getaway!!!

  • 5 of 5

Thank you Lisa and Ken!

We absolutely loved our stay at the treehouse!! The home was so unique and wonderful!! Loved hanging out on the deck in the mornings! We felt stress free from the moment we walked in the door! It was perfect how close we were to where all of the action was, yet far enough away to feel like there was no one else I'm the world!! Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your wonderful home!! The is no doubt that we will be back....and SOON!!
