Sonoma House Rental Photos and Description

House, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

A cozy cottage with an extended porch and hot tub, this is the perfect place to barbecue, sip wine, or enjoy a good book -- all while taking in the incredible views of the Sonoma Valley vineyards.

Tucked away at the end of a quiet lane atop Moon Mountain, this serene spot overlooks the entire Sonoma Valley. On a clear day you can even see the San Francisco skyline!

The private outdoor hot tub and the large porch are perfect spots for unwinding and enjoying your heavenly retreat.

Leave your worries behind as you drift off in peace and quiet, and rekindle a romance with someone special or simply give yourself that alone time you have been longing for.

The cottage is fully equipped with all you'll need for a weekend or a weeklong getaway--note though that we do not have wifi or internet access at the cottage.

Located on the same property as our Moon Mountain Retreat Main House, but the two houses are very separate so you'll enjoy total privacy.

About The Owner

I'm honored to manage this beautiful property. It is quite possibly the loveliest place in all of wine country, so I feel very lucky to be able to help others experience it. The estate it is on has been owned by the same family for several years. The cottage is exquisitely maintained and professionally managed.

The Owner purchased this house in 2000

Why The Owner chose Sonoma County

Close to the town of Sonoma, yet far enough to feel you're in your own private world

Amazing place!

  • 5 of 5

The views are unbelievable! Very clean cottage and feels like home. The hot tub was fun after a day at the wineries. We loved staying at this cottage and will return to Sonoma just so we can stay here again. This place should be on everyone's bucket list!

Peaceful , serene escape

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely stay at this cottage . The pictures don't do it justice . Warm and cozy , the view is incredible. After 5 days in San Francisco , it was the perfect place to stay . Quite a drive up the mountain , but well worth it .

Amazing Property with an Even More Amazing View

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I decided to come to Sonoma on our first child-less vacation. This property was fantastic! You drive through the middle of a wonderful vineyard to get to the property. Once at the cottage, you have a breathtaking view down the mountain at other vineyards. The cottage was perfect for the 2 of us. It had all the amenities we needed (Coffee maker and a wine opener). We relaxed each night either in the hot tub perched high enough to see San Francisco at night, or on the front porch with a glass of wine. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to get off the grid and enjoy Sonoma!

The PERFECT place

  • 5 of 5

VRBO asks that a review be submitted in order to "help them find their perfect vacation home"... I've found it for you!! It's here. The cottage is gorgeous, private, romantic, idyllic, peaceful and, yes, absolutely positively perfect. I hope to return some day in the not too distant future. If there's a "downside"- and believe me, it mattered not when we were there- we love to cook. The kitchen's not "chef friendly" at all, so plan accordingly. Simple meals, lots of grilling...

Just fantastic!

  • 5 of 5

My fiancé and I spent three nights here after a conference in SF. Our experience was nothing less than fantastic. The cabin was VERY clean and well-prepared for our arrival. The bed was very comfortable and the rest of the furniture was very nice as well. We were amazed by the views even though the pictures suggested it would be great, it was even better in person. Yes, cell service was spotty, but we knew that in advance. A minor suggestion would be to add a door between the living room and bedroom.

Doesn't get any better than this...!!!!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent three nights in this cottage and we wish it could have been three weeks. The views are spectacular, the privacy is amazing and the cottage is very homey. You can sit in the hot tub at night and see the lights of San Francisco. If we ever get back to Sonoma we will stay at this place again.
