Rare opportunity to rent a Forest Rim condo, outfitted and maintained like a private home. Room and privacy for the whole family on two levels: first floor BR+bath, second floor master BR and third BR with Jacuzzi bathroom. Townhouse construction means you won't hear neighbors through the walls.
The living area features a large wood fireplace and views of WM forest. Watch the sunrise light up the ski area. The ample kitchen is fully equipped for both the lazy and the serious cook. Wireless Internet and cable TV. Deck and yard for play and sunning. Ski storage and waxing room.
We first visited WV in 1986 (before kids) and were smitten. As our children came along, a trip to WV was always a treat for the whole family. We enjoy the Valley any time of the year, but the main draw for us has been the Nordic ski trail system. All of us have grown as skiers at WV, including our own Special Olympian. Our intention is to share our condo with others, making it possible for all of us to experience all that is wonderful about WV.
Jennifer Saffran purchased this townhome in 2011
Forest Rim is one of the few townhouse condos that lives like a house. The staggered footprint creates maximum window space, yet assures privacy. The location could not be more convenient, the landscaping is beautiful, and the layout is thoughtfully designed.
The central location means that you can access everything on a whim. Because you can walk everywhere or take the resort shuttle around town or to the ski mountain, everyone is free to go where they want, when they want.
We use this condo ourselves. We maintain it like a private home. Our bedding is all in great condition, our kitchen is fully equipped well beyond how most rentals are outfitted, and the place is very clean. We also provide extras in the kitchen, so that you can prepare full meals without having to haul in every little thing.
Few Forest Rim owners rent out their units. Staying in our unit is a rare chance to feel what it would be like to actually own a place in the Valley.
Excellent condo, well-appointed and maintained, in Waterville Valley. Easy walk to town center and to hiking trails. We were only two people, but the three-bedroom condo was not too large for us; it has a very pleasing layout.
We have been going to Waterville Valley for over 20 years. The owner is fantastic to deal with and she is extremely easy to communicate with. The kitchen is very well stocked with pots, pans, blender. There was nothing missing that I could see. The condo is well maintained and clean. It was just my husband and myself, but larger families would be fine renting this condo. The owner has an awesome manual in her kitchen about things to do, restaurants, how to open and close the condo. We would definitely rent again!!!!
This was our first trip to Waterville Valley and we choose the perfect house for our stay. It is in a peaceful and convenient section of Waterville Valley. We only had a few other neighbors around us the entire week we were there and rarely saw them.
The townhouse is very close to the rec center (staff is fantastic and give you plenty of pointers on hikes), fitness center and only a few minutes walk to the town square. In fact it is so close that the only time we used our car was to leave the valley or go over to the tennis center area. Speaking of tennis - if you enjoy playing then you should book a court here. The clay courts are beautiful and it was easy to get a court ($25/singles; $40/doubles per hour).
While in the area be sure to take a hike along the Cascade Path (starts near the tennis/ski center) and spend some time at the local pond. If you want to head out of the immediate area, just head down the road about 10 minutes and take a hike on the Smarts Brook trail. Very family friendly and some nice swimming spots. If you just want mountain water, be sure to check out the stream that runs along RT 49. Kids and adults loved it.
If you want an adventure out of town and the woods, then head up to Clark's Trading Post. This is only 25 or so minutes to the north and the entire family loved it.
For all of your necessities you can get a few things in the town square country store but it does come at a premium. You will have to head down to Plymouth for groceries but that is only 25 minutes away.
Last, but certainly not least (very important to us) the owner was great at communicating from the very beginning of the booking process to the end of our vacation. We have stayed in many different rentals in the past few years and this was the best communication we every had. We will certainly stay here again.
Nice layout for a large group, well equipped, and nicely maintained. Close to the Athletic Center, walking distance to town center. Would stay here again!
We stayed two nights at this vacation house. I would highly recommend it to other people who are considering their vacation rental. The property is very clean and well-maintained. The owner prepared almost everything you need with a very detailed instructions. Besides, it is very pleasant communicating with the owner. She always replied to me quickly and is very helpful. My friend left his cell phone charger in the house, and the owner mailed it back to him very quickly. We really appreciate it. This time, I was with my friends. I would definitely come back again and bring my parents with me. :)
A fantastic condo in a great location. The condo was clean and VERY well equipped, from linens to cook wear. The owner is very helpful and gives plenty of info to make your arrival smooth and easy. The ski resort was close, as were shops and restaurants for our winter vacation. We had good dinners at The Tells and Wild Coyote Grill, both nearby. I would recommend this to friends and family.
