I rented this cottage for my husband's 60 th birthday celebration. It worked out great! I had my sister from Montana my daughter from New York City , and my son and 6 yr old grandson and 2 others join us. Lots of room for everyone. We had a great time everyday. Tom rented us a pontoon boat and we spent the day on the water. We went to the sand dunes, on a wine tour, visited Leland and Traverse City too. Sunsets were beautiful and a few nights we had a fire in the outside fireplace. Truly we had a memorable vacation.
We enjoyed a week on the lake at this adorable cottage. It is literally a few feet from the water, and that was awesome. We brought kayaks, and a boat and the kids had a blast swimming. The cottage was very cozy and clean. There is a bike trail very close and beautiful scenic country to view while walking, running, or biking. We didn't bring our labradors, but once we arrived I wished that we had, because they would have LOVED the lake!
We truly enjoyed our stay at this cottage. Right on the waters edge and very quaint with nice updated features like a gas log fireplace with remote, new wood flooring, 2 sliding glass doors with blinds inside them. The views of the lake are gorgeous - especially on the dock platform that sits in 2-3' of water.
Beds are comfortable, master bedroom has attached bathroom which is very nice for mom and dad.
The neighboors are wonderful people, especially Tom who helps the owners look after the cottage. Not a question he couldn't answer.
Tons of things to do in the local area and shopping and restaurants abound only 10 mins away in Traverse City.
We would definitely recommend this cottage to any of our friends or family.
10 minutes to downtown Traverse City, 15 minutes from Suttons Bay, 20 minutes to Leland. Lots of wineries in the county.
