Guestbook comments from the manager

We were pleasantly surprised with the size of the condo. It was very roomy and comfortable. The "restaurant guide" and "guest book" were very helpful! Loved the fire place & flat screen & set up of living space!

Great vacation rental

  • 5 of 5

This rental was seamless from beginning to end. Lakeshore is so easy and nice to work with I would definitely rent a property from them again. The condo itself was clean, spacious, comfortable, great location and had all of the amenities we could ask for. They could use a chest of drawers in the small bedroom closet, but that was probably our only complaint. Enjoyed having the upstairs fans as the A/C doesn't work super well upstairs, maybe the ductwork needs cleaning out, but the fans provided the air we needed. All in all we enjoyed the condo, enjoyed our stay in Saugatuck and we will be back!!

Girls Weekend in Saugatuck

  • 5 of 5

It was very nice. It was clean and relaxing. It was also in an ideal spot; neighborhood was lovely; we enjoyed our morning walks. It was also close to the Saugatuck shopping, but far enough away from the crowded areas. We would come back and stay there again!

Spacious and Tasteful

  • 4 of 5

The townhouse was large and tastefully decorated. The main living spaces were inviting, and the bedrooms and baths were spacious. Some of the pluses of this townhome were the gas fireplace which was flipped on by just a switch, the extra large kitchen with room for lots of folks to help prepare a meal, and the spacious dining room with a big table for visiting over a cup of coffee. Additionally, the unit is close to town, and just a short drive to Saugatuck.

My negative comment would be that the kitchen is organized strangely. There are plates, glasses, and silverware in drawers and cabinets all over the kitchen, and finding what you need is sometimes a challenge. Also, I felt the kitchen did not have all of the items a well-stocked kitchen should have, like a rubber or wooden spoon for the non-stick frying pan. All in all, small items that certainly do not take away from the enjoyment of this unit.

Owner's Response: We appreciate the comments regarding the kitchen. We will look to add some additional kitchen utensils to the kitchen. The large kitchen is a great feature of this townhouse which should be stocked accordingly. All the best from the Lakeshore, The Lakeshore Lodging Team

Perfect winter weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

A family weekend getaway was our gift to our 2 adult children and their spouses for Christmas. This property worked perfectly. With three bedrooms and three full baths we each had our own space. The home was even roomier than it appeared in pictures. The living room with fireplace was used in the evening to cozy in and watch a movie together, all comfortable seating. The kitchen had what we needed and was spacious enough for all six of us to cook a massive breakfast. Only minutes away from Saugatuck shopping and Saugatuck Brewing for that awesome evening beer. Board games, napping, and lots of laughter. A wonderful weekend.

Owner's Response: As this guest points out, Beacon Court D is surprisingly roomy especially for six people. BCD will also accommodate eight guests with its queen sofa sleeper in the living room. Riding your bicycles into downtown Saugatuck from here is easy with bike lanes over the Kalamazoo River bridge or a jump in the car away. You can also walk the two blocks to downtown Douglas for shopping and great dining. This guest made the most of their winter stay by utilizing the fireplace, board games and coziness of our home. Makes for a great winter or summer stay.
