Guestbook comments from the manager

We were pleasantly surprised with the size of the condo. It was very roomy and comfortable. The "restaurant guide" and "guest book" were very helpful! Loved the fire place & flat screen & set up of living space!

Warm and cozy retreat!

  • 5 of 5

Had a wonderful girlfriend weekend. The home has everything you need to relax and have a good time. Centrelly located to shopping and restaurants, we never ran out of things to do. We come to the area every year, and will definitely seek this home to return to.

Very clean, well equipped condo.

  • 5 of 5

The condo was very roomy, well suited for family gathering. Condo isn't ready close to shops but you can drive to the shopping.

Owner's Response: This condo is .1 mile (3 minute walk) from downtown Douglas which features a number of shopping, dining, cafe and attraction options. However, this guest could be commenting on its proximity to downtown Saugatuck which is 1.2 miles away. It is still very walkable/ bikeable with sidewalks and bike lanes the whole way but driving is always an option. Finding parking can be a challenge depending on the time of season.

Great vacation rental

  • 5 of 5

This rental was seamless from beginning to end. Lakeshore is so easy and nice to work with I would definitely rent a property from them again. The condo itself was clean, spacious, comfortable, great location and had all of the amenities we could ask for. They could use a chest of drawers in the small bedroom closet, but that was probably our only complaint. Enjoyed having the upstairs fans as the A/C doesn't work super well upstairs, maybe the ductwork needs cleaning out, but the fans provided the air we needed. All in all we enjoyed the condo, enjoyed our stay in Saugatuck and we will be back!!

Girls Weekend in Saugatuck

  • 5 of 5

It was very nice. It was clean and relaxing. It was also in an ideal spot; neighborhood was lovely; we enjoyed our morning walks. It was also close to the Saugatuck shopping, but far enough away from the crowded areas. We would come back and stay there again!

Spacious and Tasteful

  • 4 of 5

The townhouse was large and tastefully decorated. The main living spaces were inviting, and the bedrooms and baths were spacious. Some of the pluses of this townhome were the gas fireplace which was flipped on by just a switch, the extra large kitchen with room for lots of folks to help prepare a meal, and the spacious dining room with a big table for visiting over a cup of coffee. Additionally, the unit is close to town, and just a short drive to Saugatuck.

My negative comment would be that the kitchen is organized strangely. There are plates, glasses, and silverware in drawers and cabinets all over the kitchen, and finding what you need is sometimes a challenge. Also, I felt the kitchen did not have all of the items a well-stocked kitchen should have, like a rubber or wooden spoon for the non-stick frying pan. All in all, small items that certainly do not take away from the enjoyment of this unit.

Owner's Response: We appreciate the comments regarding the kitchen. We will look to add some additional kitchen utensils to the kitchen. The large kitchen is a great feature of this townhouse which should be stocked accordingly. All the best from the Lakeshore, The Lakeshore Lodging Team
