Cozy cabin with a stream!
Stayed here over Thanksgiving. There is 1 bedroom plus loft. The stairs to the loft are steep, but my boys were older and could handle them. The stream is really peaceful. It's quiet, with an occasional sound of cars driving by on the main road. There's a walking path near by, which is nice to walk to town. The cabin had everything we needed. It does get cold and a bit drafty, but the heater works. The couch and chairs were comfortable. We brought a puzzle and worked on it on the little table in the living room. My husband enjoyed reading the magazines that were provided. The fridge is outdated and had some broken parts on it, some jagged edges that I cut my arm on, so I recommend fixing that, but it does work and fit everything we brought with us. There were condiments provided in the fridge as well. Overall, we had a great stay. We ate breakfast at the Pantry in town, and ate at AJs pizzeria in Woodland Park. Both were great. We visited the North Pole and Colorado wolf and wildlife center. Both great attractions. If you love the sound of a stream, highly recommend this cabin!
Breathtaking views, comfortable cabin
Plenty of space for my husband, daughter and I. The views surrounding the cabin were absolutely beautiful. Would definitely recommend.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your cabin! There were two deer outside by the creek our first night there! What a welcome that was!!
The cabin surpassed our expectations! We played games, walked along the creek, enjoyed the back patio every evening - it was all wonderful!
One suggestion - we could not find any grilling utensils in the cabin. Not saying they weren't there, we just didn't find them!
We had an absolutely woderful time at Dawson's creek side cabin. Just what we needed.
We needed a guick relaxing get away and Dawson's Creekside cabin was the perfect place. Exactly what we were looking for. The creek was so relaxing and we really got to reconnect we our son which was our main goal. Plan on returning again the cabin was beautiful and the perfect size.
sitting up on the mountain, this house was a nice and quiet getaway that was still close to just about everything you need. aside from a few issues inside the cabin, it was a good stay. The toilet clogged a couple times and due to a cheap flimsy plunger, it took a while to unclog it. Also had to unclog the shower drain due to a large buildup of hair and hair products built up causing the tub to partly fill as I showered. There's definitely a few things that could use some improvement, but the view outside was amazing and the cabin was a good size for my family.
Thanks for the review Jonathan. Sorry for the clogs you had to address. We will upgrade the plunger and clear other problems. We need to know if any issues so thank you. If you have any other suggestions please pass on to us. Glad you enjoyed the place and the area. Wayne
The Perfect Spot
This is a great little cabin. Everything we needed we had. Everything was clean, comfortable, and just perfect.
If you want a central location to explore CO Springs without staying in the Springs and then maybe going through Woodland Park and over to Cripple Creek and Victor or over to Breck, this is the spot. It was such a good feeling coming back to this cabin at the end of the day, we couldn't have been happier.
We would definitely stay here again!
