Located on a cliff in an upscale neighborhood on the East End of St. Croix, Villa Paradiso boasts one of the most spectacular ocean views on the island. Completed in 2011, this brand new home has spectacular, million dollar views that will delight even the most discerning traveler. The villa offers three separate living areas with their own terraces allowing couples to enjoy maximum privacy. There are breathtaking ocean views from each of the 3 bedrooms and private patios. The home is within a short hiking distance of Jack's and Isaac's Bays.
Tastefully decorated with interesting antiques, four poster beds and bright Caribbean colors, the home is a perfect retreat for two or three couples. The great room opens to the spacious terrace with open air dining and outdoor recliners. The knife edge saline pool blends with the ocean and the underwater benches are the perfect spot for sipping cocktails and watching the sunset .
We are sorry but the property is not suitable for children. Children must be 16 years or older. We are firm on this.
The villa has a whole house generator in case of power failures.
Netflix movies and a Wii station are available.
We are a family of four from Minnesota. My husband Tim, is still working so we are happy to rent our home to others who would enjoy it. We have two daughters,Clare and Shannon, aged 27 and 28. My Dad from Ireland is a regular visitor also. He is 92!
Colette Diegel and Tim Diegel purchased this villa in 2011
We choose the site because of the staggering view. We had a condo at the Reef nearby and would drive up and dream of the home we would build. We built our home in 2011 to take advantage of the amazing view and the lovely trade winds.
The privacy of this executive location is wonderful. The house was built with three distinct guest suites with their own private balconies where couples could retreat to for some quiet time. There is ample deck space for communal activities and the pool is knock out focal point for the whole house.
My husband and I wanted to show our kids the island of St Croix and we decided to book our 10 day vacation at the Villa Paradiso. Collete gave us so much information about car rentals, island tours and beach locations it made our preplanning very easy. She made arrangements for Bobby and Bob to meet us at the airport and also made sure we had some groceries to get us through our late night arrival. Villa Paradiso is breathtaking with so many elegant designer touches throughout the estate from artwork, to linens and of course the architecture of the home itself. We really enjoyed the trade winds and never needed the air-conditioning in the main house. We appreciated being able to grill some of our dinners and relax by the pool with the breathtaking views. Thank you Collete and Bobby for making our stay one the whole family will always remember.
Our recent stay at Villa Paradiso could not have been better. Everything from Bob & Bobbie to Collete's spectacular home to the laid back welcoming vibe of the island was beyond our expectations. My husband & I and our two adult boys had a vacation with a perfect mix of relaxing time and fun & interesting outings including a Buck Island snorkel katamaran tour with Heinz, deep sea fishing charter (caught snapper & wahoo), ATV tour, & private cooking at our Villa with Chef Juliana. We had wonderful dinners at Duggans, Ziggys, & Blue Water Terrrace. We spent great tennis/beach days at the Buccaneer and gambled at Divi Bay Casino one evening.
We can't wait to return!
Four of us stayed at Villa Paradiso for a week during Thanksgiving. The view from the pool overlooking the water has to be experienced. We rented a Jeep and probably ate half our meals at the house and half around the island. Every day we drove to a different beach or two. The house has everything you need to make your stay the best it can be. This was by far the nicest property we have stayed at while visiting St. Croix; we didn't want to leave. Thanks to Colette and Bobbi for organizing our stay. We had an incredible time and hope to be back some day.
We spent 2 weeks in St Croix at the luxurious Villa Paradisio. The four of us were greeted at the airport by Bobby and Bob who set us up and even shopped for some staples to start our first day. Bobby made a reservation for dinner that night at Duggan’s Restaurant for us that was much appreciated after a long day on the plane. We all enjoyed the gourmet meals in a relaxing seaside atmosphere.
When we arrived at owners Colette and Tim’s Villa, the impression was so much to take in at once. Walking through the well-groomed plant lush path to enter the gates that opened to the large patio and pool area took our breath away. Pictures do not do this gorgeous space justice. Walking into a lovely living space with a welcome well set up kitchen to match was just the beginning. The bedroom suites were perfect with large closets to stow everything, comfy beds, and patios to spend time taking in the views of the ever changing sky and to gaze across the sea.
The pool was such a gift to delight in each day as we relaxed and took in the spectacular views of the surrounding area. Sunsets and Sunrises were amazing. The rooms were spacious and welcoming. We needed nothing because everything was there.
Colette was so easy to reach and shared so many ideas of places to eat, or to spend time at, when we could pull ourselves away from Villa Paradiso. We enjoyed the Moko Jumbies dancers at the Buccaneer and had a full-sized hand painted one on the patio wall to enjoy at the Villa. The walk down to Jacks and Isaac Beaches was rewarded with unobstructed grand views around each corner. Walking through the different trees and cactus on a well-trodden path was so worth the trip.
We would highly recommend this villa to anyone. Our stay early November was warm and sunny… just what the doctor ordered. Staying here again would be another dream come true.
First of all, the pictures don't do the house justice. The house is truly an amazing property. Its the last house on the road, almost the last house on the southeastern end of the island. My wife and I were completely overwhelmed with this beautiful home. So many patios and areas to just sit and watch the ocean and the world go by. So comfortable to come back to after a day of diving, boating, or exploring the island. It's like coming back to your own private compound on a Caribbean island. Everything you could want and more in this beautiful home. Clean, well maintained, and beautiful décor. Owners were great to work with and provided a welcome basket and more. Also had someone meet us at the airport to help us get to the house. I couldn't recommend this property more and would rent it again in a heartbeat.
It was our great pleasure to be allowed to vacation at the Villa Paradiso in St. Croix, US Virgin Islands. Let me first state that we travel as much as we can and have rented some great properties around the world, but to this date none have been more impressive or beautiful. The pictures of this property do not capture the true beauty of the home and its unreal ocean and mountain views. Being located at the eastern most part of the southern coast of the island, the home was private, quiet and peaceful. The home is very well appointed with updated kitchen, bathrooms and a home office which my wife utilized while on our trip. The layout of the home was masterfully designed with a large main outdoor living space with stunning knife edged blue bottom salt water pool where you receive an almost constant breeze wafting up the mountain slope from the sea which makes for wonderful all day and evening lounging. The interior living room and bedrooms were elegant in classic Danish West Indies style, indicative of the great houses of the past and present in the Caribbean. The homes bedroom layout is also clever with each being its own very private suite with excellent views from each to the sea.
Amazing views during the day and night - We loved swimming each night and looking up at the stars!
The home came with very helpful detailed instructions of how to operate everything and the air conditioning was a very big plus in the bedrooms and living room. We utilized the outdoor kitchen area a couple of nights and grilled some great local sourced seafood. The liaison for the house Bobbi was very nice and set up dinner for us at Duggan's Reef the first night we got in which was wonderful. Owners Colette and Tim Diegel were very kind to us and provided great information and comfort in doing business prior to our trip. They recommended Chef Julianna (who was amazing - a must at least one night) as well Captain Heinz for the Buck Island tour (another must-do!). We thank them sincerely for allowing us the privilege of staying in their wonderful home. This Villa is a very beautiful and adult oriented refined Caribbean gem, we look forward to staying here again when we return to the Island.
