The mangroves that flank the eastern coastline of the property offers the prefect opportunity of kayaking and fishing. Inflatable Kayaks and Canoe are provided at the cottage for the use of our guest. Explore the nearby coastal mangroves with these lightweight, easy to use inflatable kayaks and canoes.
If you are in search of peace and harmony, just enjoy the serenity of your own private cottage. Relax on the deck and soak up the warm sunshine or toast marshmallows while sitting at your private fire ring and watching the magnificent sunsets. Alternatively, you can visit one of the many spas on island.
There are only a few private, non-condo, beach homes available on Long Bay Beach, Providenciales that are directly on the sand and this is one of them. The property is located right on the beach. You step off the deck right on to the beach.
Alternatively, spend the day wadding in our newly constructed 27ft swimming pool. A refreshing dip goes a long way after a hot day of site seeing. A great Spot for reading a good book, an evening cocktail and meeting new friends. The pool area is a favorite gathering spot for guests. So come and make Silver Palms Cottage your home away from home.
Note: We have an adjacent beachfront 2 bedroom + loft cottage on property, which is an exact replica. We can also offer you a HOUSE + CAR package, as part of the rental.

About Tatum Clerveaux
Silver Palms Cottage is owned by Wesley & Tatum Clerveaux, a young couple with a passion for nature. Both Wesley and Tatum are marine ecologists, employed with the local Government. The couple lives on Island, in the downtown area (10 mins away) with their two young kids. Both are happy to share their knowledge of some of the more exciting places to visit and available opportunities on island.
Tatum Clerveaux purchased this Cottage in 2006
Why Tatum Clerveaux chose Leeward Settlement
Silver Palms Cottage was constructed in 2006, by Wesley with the help of his dad, as a father and son labour of love project. Originally from the neighbouring island of South Caicos, Wesley, built this cozy cottage as his personal Provo escape. A place where he could come and relax and experience nature at its best. A home away from home.
What makes this Cottage unique
The location offers absolute peace and tranquility. For us, the experience of waking up early to a morning where tranquility is only broken by the sounds of birds chirping, gentle waves lapping against the shore and the occasional fishing boat chugging across the bay, is priceless. Enjoying a cup of coffee on the deck while watching the tide come in or go out is also magically mind soothing. The seclusion of the property also allows our kids to explore with little supervision. And as night falls, a barbecue on the beach or roasting marshmallows at the fire ring is always a big hit with the kids.

Beautiful, serene and private!
This was definitely a great choice! Tatum and Wesley were so kind and warm from the start. Ben (the caretaker), was extremely accommodating. I beeped the horn by mistake and he thought I needed something so he showed up almost instantaneously. He helped us set up the firepit, bring in groceries, directions and anything I needed. I felt safe having him around. The property itself is a beautiful paradise. I saw sunrise every morning and took the kayak out. The water is shallow and you can see straight through it! Near the mangroves, I saw a ray, puffer fish, crabs, needlefish and some other cool fish. The beach house was spotless when I arrived and everything was comfortable. Tatum and Wesley thought of EVERYTHING- there was bug repellant in the cabinet, a phone, garbage bags- even a water cooler! The wifi was simple and easy to connect to, the pool was clean and crisp and the sand was white and smooth. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone going to visit TCI. It's nice to have your own privacy, kitchen, pool and beach. At night, I went out on the beds and looked up at the stars- it was one of the most beautiful night sky's I've ever seen. I wish I could go back! I hope you choose to stay here. You won't regret it!
Thank you so much for such a wonderful and kind review of our property. We love having you stay with us and we look forward to pleasure of your return
Awesome Beach House
We had an amazing week at this cute beach house! Our teenage kids loved all the water toys (kayaks, paddleboard and snorkel/masks/fins). We spent lazy afternoons relaxing on the canopy bed on the beach and on the hammock. The house is well equipped with everything you could need. The kitchen is stocked with all the essential items and we appreciated having beach chairs to take to Grace Bay Beach. Ben, the caretaker, was very helpful in keeping the outside maintained and answered all our questions. The owners also did a fantastic job of keeping us supplied with water for the water dispenser and getting a DVD player for my son. We rented a van from the owners and loved the convenience of having it at the airport and ready to go, no lines to wait in or paperwork to fill out. This house is in a great location, at the end of Long Bay Beach with lots of privacy but a quick 5 min car ride to Grace Bay Beach. I can't wait to come back!
The house was incredible, the view was amazing, and the location was perfect. The only thing better than the house was the owners, Tatum and Wes. Very kind, helpful, and ready to assist immediately for the few issues we had. Highly recommend.
Cute house, decent beach, doesn't really feel "beachfront"
I should preface this by saying that we are not kiteboarders; if you are, this would probably be the ideal place to stay. We stayed in Silver Palm #1 for six nights in February with two adults and two children.
Pros: Very clean, nice furnishings, comfortable beds, right on the beach. The cottage, along with the one next door, feels like a mini-resort with the beach bed, kayaks, fire pit, pool, and loungers, and Ben keeps it all really well maintained. Wesley and Tatum were very quick to respond to our needs, including one morning when we came out to a dead battery in the minivan (beware, the "automatic door closing" feature doesn't actually close the door all the way!) and they had us jumped and ready to go within 45 minutes.
Cons: the biggest one for us was that although the cottage is beachfront, there was a lot of landscaping directly in front of the porch that kept you from seeing the beach and that made it feel closed in. The lack of screen doors or well-fitting window screens meant that we had to keep it shut up the entire time, and therefore also run the AC whenever we were in the house, which we've never had to do in Provo in Jan or Feb. So, those two factors, plus the relatively small living area made us feel really cooped in and not "beachy" while we were inside. Still, you're not going to find a more affordable way to stay right on the water in Provo. The kitchen was very minimally equipped (no measuring cups? but praise Jesus, a sharp knife!) and I think the small living space would be tight with six adults. The half bath upstairs also only has a half door, so you'd better be pretty comfortable with whoever you're rooming with.
The cottage is located at the end of the bay and we watched tons of kiteboarders all week. The water is pretty shallow and rocky, so not great for swimming. There are tons of conch shells on the beach which is fun for collecting, but not for walking barefoot, so be sure to bring water shoes. The beach is protected by a mangrove directly east, which protected us from the crazy wind that was ravaging the rest of the TCI that week, but we still saw our share of mosquitoes, so definitely bring bug spray. Also worth noting that the firepit and beach area are shared between the two cottages so you will likely be mingling closely with whoever is in the other cottage; luckily we got along well with our neighbors but we did end up listening to their music pretty much any time we were outside.
We will return every year
WOW! We visited Turks and Caicos in July 2017 (Me, my husband, my then 1.5 year old, my mother and my aunt). At first we were worried about staying off a resort since we usually do all inclusive when we travel out the country. We will NEVER do a all inclusive again since staying in Wesley and Tatums place.. Cannot say enough about this beautiful home and island. We loved the fact that we weren’t fighting crowds, and we pretty much had the beach to ourselves for almost the whole week. We enjoyed the shallow water, the free canoes, paddle words, and water activities. We also really enjoyed having Ben there whenever we needed him. He made us feel safer having him around 24/7. He would rake the beach every morning and was very helpful the entire stay. One night we had a plumbing issue and Ben called Tatum and Wesley and they sent their brother over to fix the problem right away. Also they have a security system that made us feel safe at night.
There is a house being built next to the cottages, whoever was always there didn’t bother us but one night my husband, my mother, and aunt were sitting outside smoking and around the fire when they heard a man and a woman arguing, they said at first they didn’t pay any mind then it became really loud and as if someone was fighting. That freaked me out a bit but we never had any issues with anyone.
I loved the fact that there was a cellphone left in the house that we could contact Wesley and Tatum right away if we needed.
We rented their vehicle which I highly suggest. The only downfall with renting the vehicle was we asked for a carseat upon arriving and it wasn’t in the vehicle so we had to drive to the cottage with our 1.5 year old in our lap. When we received the carseat it was broken so we never used it, instead had to ride everywhere with him in our lap, which made me EXTREMELY NERVOUS. We explored the island, visited Chalk Sound twice, made many runs to the liquor store, and grocery store. We are returning this summer for our 10 year anniversary and my sister, her husband, and their kids are joining us. I cannot wait to show them the island and the beautiful home we fell in love with. Silver Palms cottage has returnees for life. We are counting down the days until we are in paradise again.
Gorgeous, relaxing spot
The beach and view are amazing, we watched the sun rise and set from out porch every morning and night. I especially loved waking up each morning and heading out the back door to hop in a kayak to watch the kite boarders and soak up the sun. We also loved the fire pit at night and night swimming in the pool.
Tatum and Wesley were responsive to any questions or needs we had and always available and seem like just genuinely nice people.
It was an amazing vacation.
Silver Palms Cottage is located approximately 13.8 km ( 8 miles) - about 15 mins from the airport on the south coast of the island, on Long Bay Beach, which is less developed than the more popular Grace Bay Beach, (no more than five minutes away by car). But that's one of the best features of the cottage, it provides privacy, peace, tranquility but yet close to all the popular spots on Providenciales. Long Bay Beach, is also one of the most popular beaches for kite boarding and some of the more exhilarating water sporting activities like jet skiing. The mangroves and shallow waters of the Bay also make the area an ideal spot for novice fishers. For the more avid fishers, we would recommend a day trip to the flats of the Caicos Banks where bone fishing is a favorite. The mangroves located right at your door-step and the clear crystal waters also provide excellent conditions for snorkeling. However, the best area for snorkeling on Provo are located on the near-shore patch reefs on the North Coast. The closest restaurant to the cottage is at the miniature golf course (walking distance), which is a popular spot for casual dining and it serves fantastic local and international cuisine. However, the cottage is no more than 5 minutes drive from other restaurants, supermarkets and shopping centers at the Grace Bay area. It is advisable that consideration be given to renting a vehicle as there is no established public transportation system apart from taxis. The use of bicycle is becoming more popular as a mode of transportation by many visitors to the island. However, it does restrict your visit to attractions and dining areas that are nearby. Alternatively, there are also scooters on island for rent, which would permit greater flexibility and range in travel.
