Estes Park House Rental Photos and Description

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2.5+ Baths (Sleeps 8)

Ridgeview Lodge is nestled in the trees atop a hill overlooking the quaint town of Estes Park with stunning mountain views of Lumpy Ridge and the Twin Owls. Here you have the best of both worlds - you can escape to the mountains and relax, yet it’s only a 5 minute walk into the center of town to enjoy shops and restaurants! Open up the windows and listen to the calming sound of the river. Do you love the outdoors? The majestic Rocky Mountain National Park is just a 5 min drive away where you can enjoy wildlife, hundreds of hiking trails, rock climbing, amazing views, beautiful drives, numerous lakes and waterfalls as well as snowshoeing and cross country skiing.

The spacious, open floor plan of this home allows plenty of room for everyone as well as gathering space to spend quality time together. See many more details in the 'Further Details' section of this listing below!

The master bedroom has it’s own half bath for privacy, a plush queen size log bed, dresser, closet and writing desk. The 2nd bedroom is quite large and offers versatility for kids or adults with a log bunk bed that has a twin bed on top and queen on the bottom. There is a large dresser and plenty of closet space as well as a stash of board games and toys. These guests enjoy a full bath with tub/shower just down the hall. This home has a tankless water heater which allows back-to-back showers so all guests can enjoy a hot shower in the morning!

Downstairs is a beautiful separate suite with its own bathroom with shower, kitchenette with fridge and microwave, gas fireplace and private patio. The large suite has a queen size bed, dresser, closet and a futon that folds out to queen size as well. Guests in this suite also enjoy their own flat screen TV. With large windows and the same stunning views enjoyed upstairs, it’s hard to decide who gets to stay in this room! If desired, maximum privacy can be achieved by closing a door atop the stairs to separate this room from the rest of the house. It even has its own entrance from the outside. Overall, we can accommodate 8 guests in this home.

In the living area, enjoy two full size sofas, a flat screen TV with blu-ray player and library of movies to watch, or relax and read a book. We have lots of books about the local area so you’ll have no trouble finding things to do, if you ever want to leave the house! There is a loft above the living room with some comfy chairs and plenty of reading material. Our dining room seats 6-8 with mountain views and warmth from the wood burning stove. If you prefer to eat outdoors, the deck seats 11 and boasts amazing mountain views as well as a view of town. Enjoy the lovely sounds of the river while outside and open up the windows to enjoy it inside as well. The open kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, bakeware, serving dishes, dishes and utensils...just bring home the groceries and prepare a lovely meal for the family. We also have a Cuisinart CrockPot, toaster, blender, coffee pot, electric tea kettle, baking dishes, pizza pan, cookie sheets and mixing bowls. If you want to relax and let someone else do the cooking, we have provided menus from many places in town, including lots who deliver!

We want you to get the most out of your vacation so we have provided lots of information on things to do in town and in the national park. You can also find the events calendar for the town in the links section on our website. We have free wi-fi in the home in case you need to look up activities or even get a little work done if you can’t completely get away. We welcome dogs too! Bring your best friend along. Call us with any questions and we look forward to having you stay!

room for the family and pets

  • 3 of 5

Christie was responsive to our needs. The house is near town and convenient to RMNP. Kitchen is well stocked. Our family was comfortable on the beds. Nice to sit outside to eat and look at Twin Owls while hummingbirds visited the feeders.

Great location, perfect family getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful trip to Estes and loved the Ridgeview Lodge. We were able to walk into town almost every day for breakfast and coffee, and had a couple of great evening trips down onto Elkhorn for the Barrell and Claire's. We loved having access to all the space and a wonderful view every day. And the dogs absolutely loved the cooler weather, and the nice loop up and around Courtney Lane. Donut Haus is a must visit - along with the beautiful RMNP. This really is a great location. and the home was beautifully maintained, clean, and had everything we needed. Plenty of fans to direct the cooler air after the rains in the mid afternoon ... extra towels and blankets ... the washer dryer were almost brand new ... and it was a lovely treat to have robes for after every shower and bath. We are already planning our trip back and thank Christine for everything!!

Perfect Setting!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at Ridgeview for 2 weeks and could not have been happier with the proximity to so many things: downtown, the entrance of RMNP, and fun activities for kids/teens. We have 2 teenagers (one girl/one boy) who both brought friends, and the floor plan could not have been more ideal. We travel with our dog, so the fact that Ridgeview is pet-friendly is an added bonus for us. We have spent a lot of time in Estes Park over the past 20 years. Ridgeview is now at the top of our favorites list. I wish we had discovered it sooner!

Family Favorite

  • 5 of 5

Ridgeview Lodge is one of our all-time family favorite places to stay. We have booked this 3-bedroom home now five times for ourselves, daughters and grandchildren -- there is just the right amount of space for all of us. The grandkids now consider Ridgeview "our Estes cabin". We love the location, close enough to downtown to walk, but far enough away from the crowds that we can enjoy it as a quiet oasis. Christie provides all the necessities for a comfortable stay, beds are great, the loft a fantastic hideaway, and the deck perfect for gazing at Lumpy Ridge from treetop level as we enjoy our pizza and pancakes! Highly recommend this VRBO rental.

Blizzards and Outages made it a struggle to get there

  • 5 of 5

We had reserved the home for two nights with our Grandchildren, Son-in-law, and two daughters who were all visiting from Arkansas and looking forward to a Rocky Mountain experience. Our experience is tainted because of all the outside influences that played into the two night reservation, first was the fact that we were caught home in Littleton Colorado unable to travel because of the blizzard that hit on Wednesday March 23, and dumped 2 feet of snow and we were unable to get out of our neighborhood until the next morning, so we lost one night in the rental home. When we did arrive the next day, all of Estes Park was without Internet, Cell Service, and Land Line service so many of the businesses were closed or unable to perform transactions. Thus most of Thursday was without the ability to enjoy the sites and shopping of Estes Park. Service was restored by the next day when we had to leave at that point. The home itself was comfortable and enjoyable, we just happen to be there at the wrong time, which made for a short expensive vacation.

Looking back you just have to laugh and know that nothing much more could have happened...The Rock Mountains are still beautiful and worth the trip up there....the rental home is very nice and close to the town and under normal circumstances would be a great place have as a home base.

All our adverse experience were outside the owners control and we would still recommend the home for anyone wanting a place close to the action in town and also close to stillness of the Rocky Mountains

Car: not necessary

Our home is located in the heart of town, up on a hill. Nestled in a private mountain setting, it is just a 5 minute walk down the hill into the very center of town. You can walk to all the downtown shops and restaurants without needing your car. Estes Park offers festivals and fun events nearly every weekend of the year!

If you do have a car, it is only a 5 minute drive to Rocky Mountain National Park which offers endless outdoor activities, hundreds of miles of hiking trails, numerous lakes, ponds, rivers and waterfalls, and tons of wildlife including elk, deer, moose, mountain goats, birds and many more.
