Really enjoyed this little cottage!

  • 5 of 5

Just spent 4 nights there and absolutely loved it. It was truly the perfect spot for us - a quaint and quiet country setting, but conveniently located to Traverse City and everything we wanted to do. Loved being so close to the national park and having room to roam around in the woods right behind the house - just gorgeous! Cozy, clean, had everything we needed. Loved & used the fire pit and generously-provided woodpile every night! Hope to return!

Another Wonderful Stay!

  • 5 of 5

This was our family of five's second stay at Nate & Jenny's place. We absolutely love it there. It is close to the beaches & Dunes, yet peaceful & private. We can't wait to return again.

A peaceful vacation home away from home yet right at the doorstep of Sleeping Bear Dunes Lakeshores.

  • 4 of 5

The property was very clean - you notice it as soon as you entered the house. The water bed was amazing, our sleep even better. The owners were very quick to respond to our questions and concerns. The twin beds perfect for siblings who don't want to share beds. Plus an extra double bed. Owners kept ample supply of everything you could possibly need in the kitchen including cooking/eating/drinking utensils, basic spices, paper products, cleaning supplies, charcoal for the grill and firewood for the pit. Even beach towels and extra blankets for cooler nights. Though the wi-fi was spotty, that was a bonus for me and even my two boys (15 and 17 y.o.) didn't mind as much as I thought they would - they played a lot of ping-pong! There was enough board games for all ages. The dryer took a long time to dry the towels and I was worried it wasn't dry enough when we left. The view from the house was so peaceful- mornings you can hear the birds as the world woke up and at night the coyotes serenaded us! Deer, rabbits, squirrels-they all visited us. It was our first visit to the area but Jen and Nate gave us enough information on where to go and places to see and we did most of them. Very accessible to private and public beaches and Lighthouse and those famous Michigan stones and sunsets! Literally at the doorstep of Sleeping Bear Dunes Lakeshore. The ice cream shop was a favorite. We looked for the blueberry bush until we realized it may have been too early for them to be ready! 😂? Would definitely stay here again - you couldn't ask for a better location . Thank you Jenny and Nate for sharing your second home. It made for precious memories for our family vacation.
