The apartment was great! Perfectly clean and tidy. We were a group of 9 (7 adults 2 kids) and we fitted well, the towels and linens were generously provided, so soft and delicate. After long days walking around in NYC all the beds and the couch were so comfortable to rest. We also received a cellphone which was very convenient for he group. The apt is located three blocks from the subway station, close to small restaurants and better yet close to a big super market. The only thing we probably needed... More dishes, there were enough probably for a family of 4. In general, we had a very nice experience, not only because of the apt, but we also received very useful advice from the owners which made of our stay a great family vacation. Thank you!
Appartement needs some finishings. Heating system not very balanced: hot in front bedroom and cold in rear bedroom. For Manhattan-Visits a very good place, A-Express-Line station Utica Ave a short walk away. Bus B15 from Marvey/Fulton street direkt to JFK every 8-10 minutes (with metro Card, no extra charge for sky train). We (4 Adults) would rent it again whenever in NYC.
The apartment was well appointed, clean and comfortable, especially the beds. In a lovely quiet and generally pretty area of Brooklyn. Just a few minutes walk to the subway, so getting to NYC was quick and easy and preferable to staying in the rush and bustle of the city. The front door area is still to be renovated, so not so inviting. But once you walk into the apartment itself you feel at home. The owner was quick to respond to calls and very helpful.
We had a great time during our visit to New York, and part of the reason we enjoyed ourselves was due to having a great place to retire to at the end of each day. The apartment was clean and nice and I felt safe. I would definitely book it again in the future.
Taken as a whole the property was nice, with good amenities,
but a little cleaner would be good (dust under the beds and on the shelves in the cupboards...) and a little more well-maintained too (broken door handle, unscrewed chandelier, a blind was missing in one of the bedroom...)
The owner was welcoming and let us a cell phone, and his phone number to call him if necessary but at the end ofthe stay we try to reach him (by phone and mail, 24 h before our departure) and he never answered.
The location of the property is a bit far from Manhattan, but near a subway station.
The streets and front yards around are not well-maintained, but safe and neighbours seemed friendly.
In spite of these slight criticisms, we will recommand this property and spent very good time in NY.
Considering the price would much prefer to stay here than a hotel! Own space, well furnished, little backyard, cook own meals. It really was very homely, it is exactly as the pictures show it, great location for restaurants, shops and public transport yet still in a quiet neighbourhood with ample street parking! Loved it and would recommend to others! Thanks kenneth
The place was comfortable and very clean. Location is good: a quiet neighborhood, with services at a walking distance, and near line A of the metro, very convenient.
Heating was working ok, as well as hot water supply. Kitchen was a little dark, but well equipped. Some lights were out of service in the living room and kitchen.
The only drawback we found is something important. The place is advertised as to up to 10 people. We were 9, and found 3 double beds, and one defective air mattress, which was replaced by another in the same condition. There were two coaches we had to use to accommodate people, in an uncomfortable way. The air mattress problem was not solved satisfactorily.
We do not provide tours of our rental apartments. This is, in part, because they are almost always occupied by other guests. Also, for the privacy and security of our guests, we do not disclose the physical address of the location until you have booked the apartment. Brooklyn is very large borough and it is the responsibility of the guest to ensure that this area is right for them and their needs before booking. If you are unfamiliar with the location, the nearest cross-streets are Bainbridge Street and Lewis Avenue. The apartment is 1 and 1/2 blocks away from the A express and C local subway lines at Utica Avenue, and 15 minutes from Manhattan.
