About Heikki Rinta-Koski

We enjoy our little getaway to the mountains, especially hiking, mountain roads, exploring the small cities around here.

Heikki Rinta-Koski purchased this cabin in 2013

Why Heikki Rinta-Koski chose North Georgia Mountains

This cabin is truly a getaway cabin. It is cozy while feeling spacious with all the windows. Firepit and hammock are our favorite features.

What makes this cabin unique

In nature, but still easy access, short dirt road leads to the cabin. The night sky is really nice to see form the hot tub without light pollution from cities.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We loved seeing the deer and enjoyed hot tubs every night.

Great beds!

We loved the movies + Netflix & PS3. Just Dance 3 was a blast!

The boys and hubby enjoyed:

-Anna Ruby falls

-Yonah Mountain

-Hog Wild barbeque

-Gold Grubbin Gems

-Hot Tubbing!

Helen was too touristy for us.

Best vacay ever!

Nice quiet getaway

  • 4 of 5

Very nice. Could see mountains from a distance from upper loft. Drove to surrounding towns which were very close. Lots of shops to look in. Weather was great ! 27 mornings 60 afternoons.

Great!

  • 5 of 5

Went for a girls weekend and the property offered everything we wanted! Hot tub and fire pit for evenings and just a 10 minute drive to downtown Helen. Close drive to the winery's.

Ok place

  • 3 of 5

Nice place, with some issues. Not enough towels and they really need upgrading. They are worn out. Also, kitchen needs a cutting board, more utensils and more plates. The racing game did not work, nor did the Wii upstairs. I would not recommend at the price I paid for 2 nights.

Wonderful place for the price!

  • 5 of 5

We came in November when the leaves were falling in the area. Such a beautiful place to visit. The cabin was everything it was advertised to be. We had a few minor problems with lighting the fireplace, getting up the driveway initially, and lighting the grill, but an email to the owner had people out within 15 minutes to fix everything. Definitely recommend the place and I would love to come back again to the cabin.

Cozy cabin getaway

  • 5 of 5

My girlfriends and I enjoyed our weekend in this cozy cabin. It's near both Clarkesville and Helen, GA. The owner is especially nice.

Pretty, clean house near everything!

  • 4 of 5

My husband and myself, along with our 3 small dogs, were looking to escape the heat of Florida. Unfortunately, the heat followed us, but we still had a good time. The chalet is very nice and has everything you need. The owner was very easy to reach and responded almost immediately to any questions we had. He couldn't have been nicer. We enjoyed Anna Ruby Falls, Brasstown Bald, the town of Helen, Clarkesville and lunch at the Attic, Cool River ziplining and the town of Dahlonega. Betty's in Helen was a wonderful place to get a muffin, cut of meat, general groceries and an old fashioned general store. The town of Helen is very cute, but the usual tourist town. We loved Daglonega and the people were so friendly!! The only thing missing at the chalet were blinds for all of the upper Windows. It was 90 degrees out and even when the a/c was set at 72 it couldn't cool the house down enough. We enjoyed the hot tub, the firepit and the comfortable furniture and bed. There was a lot of thought put into the house, and I would have given it 5 stars if not for the heat in the house in the afternoon. Nice private and wooded setting. Very convenient to things to do and see in the area.

There is a cafeteria open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with good southern food in walking distance from the cabin.

Also across the cafe there is a gas station with general store for everyday supplies.

The location is in the middle of three cities, Helen, Cleveland and Clarkesville, each less than 10 miles away. Helen and Sautee, which is five miles from the cabin, offers great attractions including restaurants, shopping, activities like go-karts, golfing, tubing, helicopter rides, night life etc.

Clarkesville and Cleveland offer more traditional smalltown attractions with square in the center and small shops and cafes to be explored walking.
