Because the city is wearing you out. And you need a getaway. Because you need a quick escape. And a long hike. Because you want to see the stars. And the sparkle of sun on the lake.
14 acres to wander. A stocked fishing lake. Bring your bike and ride South Fulton’s Silken Sheets for miles and miles. Enjoy horseback riding? Visit Foxhall Farms. And when you want a touch of civilization, Serenbe is just across the way with great dining at the Blue Eyed Daisy, the Farmhouse or The Hil.
If you want to see where your food is coming from, visit the farmers at Serenbe Farms. There is also a wonderful spa, art galleries and shopping.
The gravel driveway is about a 4th of a mile long and it ends with us.
Outfitted in cabin luxury, come get away from it all in comfort and artful style. Each bedroom has nice sheets and pillows, plenty of quilts when it’s cold, and lovely views of the pastures around you. Bathrooms are lightly appointed with soaps, shampoos and the like.
The kitchen is fully outfitted. We’re dinner party-throwin’ types so you’ll find plenty of plates and service, cookware, and barware. There’s also a charcoal grill on the side patio. Perfect for summer BBQ’s.
You are welcome to fish in the lake. Catch and release the bass, please. Eat all the crappie you’d like.
There’s a couple of comfy couches for lounging, TV for watching and a front porch swing, for.. well.. swingin’. Be sure to have your coffee and/or cocktails on the front porch, weather permitting. It is THE best seat in the house.
Lindsey was easy to communicate with from the very first contact. We chose this beautiful property because of the location to Atlanta and the beautiful pool. The property does not disappoint. From the moment we pulled onto the property we were blown away by its charm and the well maintained land. The house it so charming and from the moment you step into the home you get an eclectic vibe that is not the norm for cabin living. Tim and Lindsey have amazing style and taste and we loved Tim's work so much we bought a few pieces to take home. The pool was a welcomed reprieve from the August heat and we were enjoying it every day. My husband and son went fishing and enjoyed them selves but it was a little tricky because there was no dock so there lines kept getting stuck but they do have canoes and kayaks to enjoy the beautiful and peaceful lake. We walked the property every morning exploring the property with the boys and we all just loved finding new things every morning to look at. We ran into couple of hitches along the way from some pretty bad storms that came throught but Lindsey was quick to respond and acted quickly to fix everything. We will most definetly be back and would recommend this property to anyone looking to get away and relax!
We recently spent 12 days at this beautiful cabin while we were participating in a horse competition at Chatt Hills...it was perfect. Quite, peaceful, beautiful, extraordinary! The art work is amazing! We made so many wonderful memories, we can't wait to come back next year. It truly felt like home away from home!
My family and I absolutely loved this cabin rental. We plan on visiting yearly. We had such a great time! We really enjoyed the peacefulness of this place. We felt off the grid but still had the amenties like TV, Internet, Pool, Water View, FirePit, etc. I loved the decor throughout the cabin, it felt warm and inviting. Lots of antiques and art throughout to look at, each were amazing. There was plenty of room for our two familes (1-family of 5 and 1-family of 3). All the beds and pillows were soft and cozy. My two favorite things about this place; having my morning coffee on the back porch looking at the water view and the pool! I loved this lagoon style pool. It was so nice to grill out and eat out by the pool and relax. This would be a great place to get away with the family and destress.
Our families also enjoyed hiking at the Cochran Mill Nature Preserve. There were some amazing creek views and waterfalls!! The kids loved it and even went for a little dip in the water. The nearby town of Serenbee is really cute. It's a nice place to walk around, they have cute local shops, bakery, and the Farm House Restaurant. I bet it would be super nice in the fall, when the leaves are changing!
Anyway, we loved it! :)
The cabin itself is like living art, because it is so tastefully decorated in the rustic style. We had a family reunion, and there were zillions of nice places that you could sit with a coffee and enjoy people's company. It is directly across the street from Serenbe's, which is a huge estate with horses, woods, trails. The non-octagenarians among us at the reunion enjoyed long walks and jogs over there. Such a great experience - thank you to Lindsey and Tim!
Everything went really well! Thank you so much for making your beautiful property available to people like us. My family fully enjoyed the property: the pool, walks, etc. They loved all the art work. And you were so responsive to all our requests and queries--we never had to wait to hear from you. We could not have been happier.
If you are looking to get away from the city and want a quiet place to relax, I highly recommend this cabin. It is on beautiful grounds at the end of a quiet road with lots of privacy and all the necessary amenities. We were a group of 8 adults (4 couples) celebrating a birthday weekend and each couple had their own bedroom with plenty of room to spread out. The porches and fire pit are great for hanging out as is the large dining table off the kitchen for group meals. We picked up some firewood near the cabin so we could sit around the fire at night. And if the weather is right – the pool and pool deck makes for another great spot to enjoy the property. The kitchen is fully equipped so there was no need to take anything besides food/drinks for the stay. We spent a better part of one afternoon listening to music on the porches, playing bocce on the vast lawns and enjoying the solitude. The lake makes for really nice scenery and some sporadic wildlife viewings too. Proximity of the cabin to Serenbe also makes this an ideal location to enjoy everything Serenbe has to offer. We had dinner reservations at Serenbe’s Farmhouse restaurant and the 2 minute drive from the cabin to the restaurant made this outing extremely easy. We hope to get back to this cabin often to escape the city.
Just 45 minutes south of Atlanta (25 minutes south of Hartsfield Intl), in Chattahoochee Hills, GA, a log cabin in the woods awaits you. No noise. No lights. Just birds, frogs, deer and crickets.
Wonderful for families, couples getaways, romantic respite. Small retreats welcome too - yoga, artists, writers - perfect for connecting with your creative and meditative side!
