Short Term Rental Permit #: 16-00135965

A ten minute walk to the plaza, this quintessential adobe home offers charm of traditional Santa Fe. A fully appliance kitchen, a king sleigh bed in the master with a queen sofa sleeper in the living room and a twin bed in the sun-room, a Lyne Archer dinning table for six and a four top in the kitchen. Sleeps up to five and offers off street covered parking, plenty of enclosed yard space with outside grilling with gas and shade offered by an old apricot tree. Free wifi and cable with televisions in both the living room and bed room. Located on a dead end street traffic noise is unheard of and yet groceries and dinning are just steps away. Enjoy the essence of Santa fe.

Casa Quintana is a beguiling 1400 square foot adobe house on a quiet cul de sac in Santa Fe’s historic San Francisco Street district, an easy walk to the plaza.

The is an outside hot tub that operates year-round that seats 4 people.

History:

Quintana street was named after the Quintana brothers who settled the area in the 1920?s, selling their farmland in the north and coming to “La Villa Royal” or the “Royal City” as Santa Fe was then called, to educate their families.

The house was built in the 1930?s by the oldest son, Juan, in the traditional adobe brick, southwestern style. In 1998, Michael Roybal, second cousin to Juan, bought and renovated the original house. With utmost care, he retained its unique architectural features, keeping its charm and grace, while bringing it up to date with modern living.

Casa Quintana is fully licensed by the City of Santa Fe and abides by all tax laws and city ordinances.

Notes:
Casa Quintana is located in the historic Guadalupe Street district and is 10 minutes walking to the plaza. It is the quintessential adobe brick home. Built by my mothers relatives in the 1930's. The Quintana's, her maiden name. It is the essence of old Santa Fe. A huge old apricot tree adorns the back yard as many native plantings. A quick 10 minute walk and you're in historic downtown Santa Fe. The Santa Fe river walk is one minute walking and many grocery stores are a stones throw away. Whole Foods, Albertsons, Sunflower, and local Coop with the best organic produce in northern NM.

Cute-Good Location-Private Drive

  • 4 of 5

Good location on a dead end street with off street parking. Fenced yard worked out very well for the dogs. Clean and well stocked. Pictures and description were accurate. Off lead dog park with trails within approximately 1/2 mile.

Excellent location. Owner gave immediate service when any little problem came up. Very personal

Very nice Casita. All the amenities . Especially enjoyed the outdoor hot tub which is always at the ready.

Happened to be lovely, warmish fall weather while we were there. Shimmering yellow leaves of the cottonwood trees in side yard added to the ambience.

Attend to the details

  • 3 of 5

Good location and quiet. Little details missed such as numerous burnt out light bulbs , no ice trays, and moldy shower curtain. Wash machine broken, but replaced over a two day timeframe. Brenda was easy to work with during the whole process. Would suggest replacing twin bed in sun room and upgrade your bed and bath linens. The yard and hot tub was a nice place to relax.

Comfy and close to everything wonderful!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay in beautiful and comfortable Casa Quintana. We were able to easily and safely walk to old town, the rail yard (cross at Guadalupe with the light!) as well as the Georgia O'keeffe Museum and the Lorreto Chapel. The home itself has great bedding and comfy cozy stove in the living room. We loved sitting in the hot tub under the stars. There were two of us (but not a couple) for this trip, so we used both bedrooms. The back bedroom is a little cold, but so long as you keep the door to the kitchen open it stays warm enough. Plenty of extra blankets and towels!
