About Scott Lydon
I have been coming to this area for ten years, and always wanted to purchase a second home here. Listings do not usually turn over very often, most owners hold onto property for life. The home I purchased was circa 1978, Since I want to keep it in the family, It needed a total renovation. I spared no expense. You will find everything you need to make an enjoyable stay in our home.
Scott Lydon purchased this Condo in 2012

Great condo, Great owner, Great Location, Great State!!
Although the weather was unkind for our trip, our 4 night stay was exactly what we needed. The condo was easy to find, the owner was exceptionally responsive to our needs (most needs were the results of my basic inability to read and text!). The thoroughly modern condo, in a rustic setting, was very comfortable and the pics online do not do it justice. The condo was close to town but far enough out to be "woodsy". The small towns nearby like Woodstock were quite relaxing to spend an afternoon. Local food (New England Clam Chowder :)) was excellent, but skip the Foundry at Summit Pond - overpriced and portions for a child! Hope to rent this again next year!
A great location - comfortable sleep, and well equipped. Good for acces to beautiful natural places
Great fall visit
Beautiful holiday weekend visit. Central to great places to eat & visit. Home met all of our needs.
Scotts Comfy Condo
We stayed 7 nights in Scotts condo and we were very pleased. It is a great home base while exploring the area. Loved the remodeled kitchen as we love to cook! The deck was awesome and was an added bonus that it was covered so we were able to enjoy it even when it rained. Beds were very comfortable and it felt very much like home! Thanks Scott for letting us enjoy our stay in your comfy condo. Cant wait to visit Vermont and your place again! P.S. Added bonus... Laundry Room !!
Beware of This One
We rented this place for two weeks as we were house hunting. As we entered the building we noticed that the hallway (carpeted) was inundated with an odor not unlike overcooked seafood. The condo itself was not comfortable. The heavy queen bed was against one wall in the master bedroom, allowing only one side of the bed to be accessed by both people. It was too heavy to move. It was in the 90's outside and the thermostats were locked at 76 degrees which was too warm for us. During the first night there, my wife had a serious breathing reaction to something in the condo. Whether it was mold or pet dander (it's a no pet condo) we don't know, but it became immediately clear that we could not stay due to my wife experiencing a serious health issue. I have to admit that I SHOULD have bought cancellation insurance, but I trusted the reviews and did not. We contacted the owner the following morning and explained the issues. While he admitted to my wife that he had heard some isolated comments on the air quality in his condo before, he would not work with us at all, and kept the entire rental fee for 13 days. We essentially paid almost $1000 to stay one night in a condo with poor air quality. This has pretty much turned us away from ever using VRBO again. If I could have given zero stars on this place I would have.
Lies, Lies, Lies! This was a very poorly contrived attempt at breaking a lease agreement by a first timer of vacation rentals. I always recommend insuring your vacation, Dan refused it. Dan's wife supposedly had a life threatening allergic reaction to something, she knew not from what, she stated her medications did nothing to help with her attacks, she sought no medical care or treatment for this, nor could tell me what she was allergic too. They only demanded their money back, stating they could not stay for the duration of the lease.
Dan attempts to demean my home and myself with slanderous accusations, for which my response is as follows: The unlocked heating thermostats on wall read room temperature of 76f, even though the heat is off during the summer. The window air conditioners work fine and are not locked, too bad you weren't smart enough to turn them on.
I never admitted to anyone of an air quality issue or allergy issue existing in my home ever!
I own a beautiful comfy cozy home nestled in the fresh air forest of the Green Mountains in Vermont, in which I share with discerning guests, my pictures show as much as possible every thing in it's place, there are no surprises.
If you read my reviews, you will learn from many of my guests how their stay was fulfilling, relaxing and invigorating, how much they enjoyed themselves and wish to return. I also have a Journal Book located in my home for guests to log entries about the details of their stay, which is always a pleasure to read. I pay attention to details, simplify the transaction process, make it as easy and convenient as possible for my guests. If I learn my guest was slighted in any way, I have refunded money in whole or in part, because I want my guests to enjoy my home and wish to return.
I will trust you are a wise individual and can tell the difference between truth and a scam!
Good Location and Value
Very pleased with Condo, plenty of space for our family. Good Location! Would stay here again if in the area.
