About Scott Lydon

I have been coming to this area for ten years, and always wanted to purchase a second home here. Listings do not usually turn over very often, most owners hold onto property for life. The home I purchased was circa 1978, Since I want to keep it in the family, It needed a total renovation. I spared no expense. You will find everything you need to make an enjoyable stay in our home.

Scott Lydon purchased this condo in 2012

Why Scott Lydon chose Killington Area

This area offers four seasons of activities to enjoy, such as; Winter: world class skiing/snow boarding at 6 mountains that make the Killington Pico ski resorts, Snowmobiling on the V.A.S.T all the way to Canada, Snowshoeing, crosscountry sking, Ice fishing. Spring: visit the many Antique and specialty shops and gardens in nearby town of Woodstock, Hike down into the Quechee Gorge or Thundering Falls. Summer: Hiking the Appalachian and Long Trails, Rock climbing, lake and river fishing, world class golf at Green mountain and Killington golf courses. Autumn: Take gondola to top of Killington mountain to view the spectacular foliage. This is a place you will want to come back too, any time of the year!!

Lovely home, very clean and cozy!

  • 4 of 5

Beautiful property in a nice area of Vermont, very clean and cozy. The kitchen is brand new and we loved the little deck outside. We went to Quechee Gorge which was a must to visit when in the area. It's also very close to Rutland and Killington. We were only there for two nights so we did not get to explore that much but we would definitely go back next year, and of course will stay at this place again. Thank you Scott for sharing your lovely home! Another wonderful experience for me and my family :)

Our first ever Vermont trip

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time in this Condo. It is very well kept, clean and has all the amenities we needed. I just wish the wifi worked. I ended up buying some internet during my stay from Xfinity. Other than that, everything else was super. The beds are very comfortable, good selection of furniture, leisure games, DVD. We fell in love with the balcony where we had breakfast everyday.

Special thanks to Scott for hosting this place. He is very helpful and was available on the phone every time. The condo is close to major attractions. We visited thundering falls, Quechee gorge and killington mountain top as Scott recommended. All these locations are phenomenal.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your honest review, it is most helpful. After hearing from my guest on friday night about not being able to connect to internet, I called the Property manager and internet provider immediately to rectify this problem. Since this was an issue with building service provider and not any of my property or control. See notice below; Dear board members and owners, Over the last weekend, we have been experiencing Internet outages. We were notified on 8/16 of an outage at the Gateway property. We called out Single Digits and connected them with our Maintenance team to trouble shoot the situation. Single Digits had our Maintenance reboot several connections, with what seemed to be successful. Signal Digits assured us the connectivity would be Monitored for the next 48 hrs, and we would be notified if connectivity was lost. Unfortunately it seems it was not repaired as we were informed. Since then we have reset/rebooted several times with Single Digits, and decided it was best to call Comcast to also address the issue, and coordinated with Single Digits for a resolution. As of Sunday 8/20 Comcast has been sent to the property and has given assurances that all their equipment is working and performing without interruption. Thank You for your patience regarding this matter. M G Management

Cozy and convenient

  • 5 of 5

This property was quite lovely. We were all comfortable and had plenty of space. The kitchen has all the essentials and some handy extras, although we only found 1 kitchen towel. The exterior is well maintained and the interior was well kept, clean and orderly.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review, I would like to make note of the full roll of paper towels on kitchen counter. I keep extra towels in linen closet in hall.

We can't wait to return!!

  • 5 of 5

This was one of the best trips I've done in a long time. This was a last minute escape for my cousin and I with our 4 kids. It ended up being a low key, budget friendly weekend. We took Scott's advice and hit Thundering Falls and Quechee gorge. Both were gorgeous and the kids had a blast! Between those free adventures and local very inexpensive food from Rutland's farmers market we only ate out for dessert at McGraths one night. The kids loved the game room there & we all enjoyed the live music.

I believe the reason we were so happy eating at the condo was it was so comfortable and well taken care of. The deck was my absolute favorite what a cozy spot...I wish I was there right now.

My son asked on the way home when can we return :)

The plan is to return soon & stay longer!!
