We stayed here with my elderly folks, and the place was the best one we've stayed in by far. Everything is modern and updated but all with a rustic feel and the owner is the most friendly and takes excellent care of you. The lake is gorgeous and the wildlife spectacular. The first night we were there, a heron flew right over us and landed on the dock out front. A muskrat swam by, a mama duck and several ducklings waddled across the grass down to the lake and swam back a forth, and the loon calls were gorgeous. When we took the canoe out the next day, we realized the DNR had a floating nest for the loons and while we tried to stay away in the wind, as they are protected, we did notice two large grey/brown eggs in the nest. My dad, who is almost 90 got to fish off the dock and actually caught fish, thanks to the owner leaving some live bait he had. Dad was in heaven. And my hubby from the west coast caught his first bass. We cleaned the fish with supplies and station there, and had a fish fry; this place comes fully equipped for whatever meal you'd like to cook, plus an outdoor fireplace to enjoy it by. Thank you for the nicest Minnesota experience - it brought back memories, and provided us with delightful new ones!
Beautiful property well kept. The view was spectacular. We enjoyed the hospitality of Craig and Karla and the neighbors. The most relaxing vacation I've had in a long time. Even if it rained, just being able to be there looking out on such a beautiful setting and watching the loons, swans, otters.....priceless.

We have been renting cabins and lake homes for the past 15 years in Minnesota. By far this was the nicest property, beautifully decorated, and the most gorgeous sunset views of any place we have ever been. The owners have great taste in décor and did not spare any expense in making this a home they were proud to share. The owners were easily accessible to help us with every possible question. After two weeks of renting, we did not want to leave.
The cabin was everything we hoped it would be! Amazing views, great fishing, relaxing deck, and beautiful cabin have been unbeatable for us for a vacation! The little towns surrounding the cabin were so peaceful and enjoyable too! Great vacation spot! Hoping to go back!
My wife and I stayed for a weekend and really loved this place. It's very clean, very comfortable, and the view from the house of the lake is incredible. Not many places do we get up before dawn to watch the sunrise but we did here!I fished off the dock one day and couldn't stop catching fish.Needless to say we did not want to leave and hopefully can come back here someday.
Our one-week visit was fantastic. When we walked into the cabin we were amazed at the decor and arrangements. Craig started us off with a welcome bottle of wine, which was unexpected, but appreciated. Everything you need and more comes with this cabin...cable TV, a sunken bathtub, bikes and more. The cabin is on a secluded bay that opens to 10-mile lake. Loons in the morning and loons at night! Nothing like quiet peace, yet also being able to ski and tube just off the deck. The neighbors, Bob and Kim also happen to be in-laws, and they are first-class. This truly was one of our favorite getaways, and our hope is we'll be able to come back time and again.
