My husband and I stayed at your wonderful cabin right before the holidays. It was a perfect getaway, the home had everything we needed and the location was ideal for relaxing. Thank you and have a wonderful 2013.
Overall we enjoyed our stay, the house was cute, clean and well stocked. I would like to point out a few things that may assist future interested renters that, if we had known ahead of time, may have affected our choice to stay. Firstly, the house is advertised as 3 bedroom, with 2 queens, 2 singles, a futon/convertible couch, floor mats (etc). The house is actually 2 bedrooms with an loft at the top of the stairs on your way to the second bedroom. There is NO futon/convertible couch (a regular couch is not a bed). We had 3 adult couples and I had to break it to our friends that they would in fact we sleeping on single trendel beds (embarrassing). Secondly, and the owner did warn me as I was booking, the stairs to the second bedroom are VERY steep. We had to descend them backwards like a ladder for safety. Finally, the public beach access is a very long walk from the house and there is no parking, so we had to drop off my mother in law and son, then someone would have to make the walk. There is a beach opening closer to the house but signs stating no trespassing as the beach is part of the private Lummi nation tidelands with threat of fines.
Really good location for sunset viewing, and very nice at many neighbor, they are asking to visit their garden, talking with you at anytime if you like, and good location to visit Vancouver, also have good time to have sailing keel-boat at Bellingham bay.
My group of 6 ladies stayed here for a girls getaway and this place suited our needs perfectly! It's a sweet & quirky little house that was comfortable and bright. We had a very relaxing time. The beach is just a short walk away. We spent our mornings on the deck looking at the lake with our breakfast and coffee. The stairs are truly steep - really more of a carpeted ladder so be wary with little ones. I did notice that they had some built in gates that can be utilized if needed around the stairs. Brandi was very responsive when I emailed her about a fan. Would definitely stay here again!
Our family of 4 enjoyed our stay. We were pleased to have access to the tennis and basketball courts right next door. The home was very clean, spacious and well appointed. The beds were very comfortable and all linen and towels were in new condition. We would definitely stay here again.
My husband and I stayed there after I had surgery in Seattle as a place to get away and recover. Fabulous location, beautiful surroundings. Central to everything. Very clean. Owner super easy to work with. Kitchen well stocked. Met all our needs. Went to the nearby Casino for dinner and a little gambling one night, that was fun as it was very close. Heading back to the area in March and plan to stay there again.
We rented this home for President's Weekend, but had so much fun, we had to go back in March! Kids went skiing at Baker with fresh powder and had a blast.
Owner is great to work with. The home is clean and well maintained. This home is is very cozy and perfect for 2 familes to share. You must watch the sunset from the upper balcony. Gorgeous view! Will definitely be back.
Our home is located directly between Seattle, WA and Vancouver, CA, both cities are within a two-hour drive for day trips to a zoo or evening trips to concerts or other stage performances, in addition to the local Bellingham highlights..
