If you a want a relaxing cabin in the forest with great views and a lovely ambience , this place ticks all those boxes, if you have OCD and will send me photos (from different angles) of a socket with a few flecks of dust upon it , or will complain about finding an insect out here in the forest, perhaps this is not the place for you :)

Grew up in Bermuda
Live in Scotland on a boat now.
Nicky purchased this chalet in 2003
Used to live in central London, this is an amazing location away from it all.
I am told it has some :) one of them being that people can feel at home very quickly
Mark mentioned that you emailed, but he has yet to get a chance to email you back. We thoroughly
enjoyed our stay. Everything was absolutely wonderful. The fact that you have everything available for
our use (dishes, towels, CD player, fire starters, etc) made the stay even better. Honestly, we have
been talking so highly about it ever since we have returned. We would LOVE to come again with a
couple friends. The pictures we took have sparked a lot of interest from both our families, and we
know it is booked through the summer, but we are planning on staying again. I hope we left it in decent
shape. We had to rush off Friday morning.
Sorry I can't be helpful with suggestions to make it better, because it really was wonderful. All that we
hoped for and more!
I hope to stay again in the future!
Have a great day.
We looked forward to our lakeside break, and the lake didn't disappoint, being just metres from the cabin. Sadly the cabin was not quite what we had hoped for. While others describe it as quirky, we'd suggest it was compact, with every nook and cranny filled with things. It sleeps six, but there is only seating on a single sofa for two, plus a large bean bag.
The layout of the cabin is great, with a deck, large picture windows to view the lake, and the unusual upstairs bedroom. Sadly it seems tired, needing refreshed with a lick of paint, maybe some new kitchenware and linen, and a deep clean and declutter.
The upstairs bedroom is accessed via a steep ladder / stairway and not recommended for small children, or if you are unsteady. The bed is right next to the hatch, so we recommend closing the hatch at night to avoid a rapid decent!
We were advised that the microwave didn't work, which was OK as we adjusted our meal plans accordingly. However we were not advised that the shower barely offered a trickle and with no other means of bathing it was less than ideal.
The cabin is in a nice remote location, ideal if you want a retreat. We didn't see any squirrels, but once we put fresh bird food out there were plenty of birds to watch.
Plan your day trips as you'll need to travel at least half an hour in any direction on single track roads to reach a decent road. We hoped to visit the local restaurant but it only opens Thursday to weekend, no use for our short break.
The local shop shuts at 4pm daily, and is not open on a Tuesday. It is a nice little shop though, with ice cream and fresh cakes available.
Overall we were underwhelmed. We expected five stars but were left disappointed.
We had a fantastic weekend at the Bubble. The chalet itself is entirely charming with everything you could want, and more. Lots of thoughtful touches, including a treasure hunt, of sorts, which led to a disproportionate amount of excitement when we found the treasure. The setting is idyllic with the edge of Loch Awe a few steps away. Barbeque, hi-fi to plug your music into, tellies in two of the bedrooms, selection of books and board games. We were there with our three year old son who had a great time, and particularly enjoyed making friends with the resident tiger. For a truly relaxing break, though, leave the toddlers at home.
Rustic little but n ben in a beautiful location, the last 2 hours of the drive from Edinburgh was worth it alone. Amazing scenery that makes one wonder why there is any need to ever leave Scotland!
The accommodation is in a quiet little area with stunning views. There is a handy little bar on site which serves good food and the staff are very hospitable.
We didn't have children with us and to my pleasure it wasn't too kids orientated, like other similar places I have been in recent weeks. There are facilities for children however.
A real get away location, a gem of a place.
Wonderful cabin, very well equipped and comfortable. My friends and I really enjoyed staying at the Bubble. We didn't meet Nicky but he was always available to answer our questions and enquiries, before and during our stay. The cabin location is priceless! Amazing views and really well designed to enjoy the loch and the light coming through during the day. We woukd definetely go back one day!
What a place!
Teaming with wildlife, loads of walks, friendly people and a beautiful cabin, what more could you ask for.
Stayed for 2 weeks, first week just pottered around locally, second week went to the beaver trail ,Oban , and Ben Nevis.
Would advise you order your weeks shopping from tesco at Oban and they will deliver as it is a 50 mile+ round trip to Oban.
The bubble was amazing,we loved the open fire only used a couple of times as weather really mild.
Would recommend this cabin if you want an away from it all holiday, with wildlife right on your door step.
Thank you Nicky for a holiday to remember.
Only stayed for 2 nights but wish it was longer. Quirky is the best way to describe the Bubble and I loved every little quirk it had. It was so peaceful and homely, sitting on the balcony having a coffee and wild birds come along and sit with you due to the feeders, wonderful. Had a lovely meal at the community hall also had gorgeous meal at the Oyster Bar in Connel. Would definitely boast this little gem to all xxxx

People in unfamiliar environments break and damage things like dinner plates and kitchen countertops, as such i try and persuade my guests to take my accidental damage insurance costing £14 , this is a less hassle and much better option than asking for £hundreds in security deposits.
