Guestbook comments from the owner

We had our first trip to Puglia in August this year, our family half & half American and English. A spacious house with plenty of outdoor space as well, within quick distance of everything. Our hosts were responsive to our needs and oriented us well to the area. A stellar stay at a reasonable price.

marvelous house in splendid garden of olive trees

  • 5 of 5

It is a very comfortable charming house with everything you need. The imagine is you just come back to your own house. Thanks a lot for it to the owners - they are very-very hospitality and nice people. They are taking care about everything you need.

It is a pleasure to have a breakfast and dinnner under the pergola tasting own fruits from the garden listening of songs of birds. This place is very calm and sparcely - you can feel yourself inside the heart of nature.

We have returned to this marvelous house at the second time. It can explain everything. And will return again!

Fantastic place for a private and relaxed holiday

  • 4 of 5

We just had a fantastic holiday at Villa Palma. Paola & Jim are lovely people!

Paola came to pick us up at the airport, helped us out in Italian with the rent of our car and drove all the way to the property to show us everything inside and outside. The welcome package was amazing!

The villa is clean and well-maintained. About all you need is available. The pool is cleaned every day. The surrounding garden is very big, beautiful and safely gated. You need a car to get there and to be able to go places.

Paola showed us the nearest shops and supermarkets and drove with us to the nearest beach to show us some good restaurants over there. Is that service or what? On top of this all, Paola organises wine tours in the region. Together with Donna they bring you to very nice cantina's to taste some amazing local wines! We recommend the property vividly! Thanks again Paolo & Jim and keep up the good work!!

Nice stay at Villa Palma

  • 5 of 5

Villa Palma is a good solution if you look for a quiet place to stay in the region of Ostuni. Beaches are just 5-10 km faraway; Ostuni and Carovigno are just 10 minutes drive. In the nearby I recommend to visit Torre Guaceto: more than a wonderful sand beach.

The house is nice, in the midst of the countryside; silence and nothing around. There's a small swimming pool, suitable for kids or to refresh yourself after a hot day at the beach.

The description in the website is accurate, the property is well maintained. Paola and Jim are very kind, professional, they gave us lots of information; easy to reach by phone and by email. Only a suggestion: install air conditioning, because we experienced some very hot nights in which it has been difficult to fall asleep. Overall I would recommend Villa Palma!

We had a beautiful holiday and couldn't wish for nicer owners to help us get to know the area. At our arrival we received a nice welcoming basket with plenty of fresh vegetables, fruit, pasta etc. Jim and Paola immediately gave us tips on where to shop (Jim even took us on a small tour to show us the best local shops and the nearest beach), what to see, what to watch out for etc. The villa is exactely as shown on the pictures; it was well equipped and clean and during the sunny days the pool was more than welcome. We would definitely recommend this property to our friends and family! Grazie mille Paola and Jim!

Comfortable , secluded and well located

  • 4 of 5

Very convenient for lovely city of Ostuni ( barely 10 mins away by car) and beaches. Many historic towns within easy reach making ideal excursions.

Spacious quiet location with plenty of space . Owner Paola turned out to be American and couldn't do enough for us , greeting us with a tour of local shops etc which saved us a lot of time.

House very comfortable in spacious plot.

Would recommend a holiday in this part of Italy which is full of really interesting places and relatively cheap compared to other regions we have frequently visited in Italy.

Villa Palma is located exactly between Ostuni and Carovigno, only 15 minutes from Ostuni by car. Ostuni, La Citta Bianca, a UNESCO World Heritage city, a fortified hill town with cobblestoned alleys reminiscent of a casbah, and consistent winner of 5 sails for its beautiful beaches and clear blue Adriatic seaside. Carovigno is a hill town with a XVIthC Castle and battlements, notably good restaurants, and an exciting Tuesday open-air market.

A few minutes drive to nearby Torre Santa Sabina, Costa Merlata, Pantanagianni, and Pilone feature great public free beaches as well as local lidos (beach clubs) with all facilities, including restaurants, bars, swimming pool, etc.

The villa is on a quiet country lane with ocean views from the road and the roof terrace, giving you privacy and tranquillity while still being in easy reach of summer seaside day and nightlife.

Great Italian food and wine make your vacation enjoyment complete. We offer customized wine tours of the wine country of Puglia.
