Lovely winter stay

  • 5 of 5

This property was a wonderful place to stay. We had four adults and one toddler. Imelda (the owner) provided us with a cot for the toddler which made things easy and convenient. The lodge is a beautiful little home and so comfortable. The beds were warm and comfortable. We all slept amazing. It was even decorated for the holidays. There is every convenience while staying here. It made our trip so nice.

The surrounding area is so beautiful. Even in the winter, it was so green. The town of Kilmallock is very charming and we lived exploring it. Everyone there was so friendly.

If you are looking for a wonderful vacation rental with a kind and gracious hostess with all the comforts of home, look no further. This is your place.

The Best of the Best

Beautifully decorated, large showers, quiet, secluded, peaceful and centrally located for great day trips through the region. Lots to see and do. Imelda is a gracious host and if we could give it more than 5 stars we most certainly would!

One of our best vacations!

  • 5 of 5

Staying in this lodge was a great choice. Everything the HomeAway description advertise was exactly how we found it. Imelda the host was fantastic with her Scones, muffins, & coffee! Made our first visit to Ireland very special. It was an easy drive to the town and cliffs of Kilkee, King James Castle in Limerick, Lough Gur, Adare, the Blarney Castle, Dublin, and other fantastic locations. Recommend this place to anyone who likes to have a relaxing home base to come back to in the evenings.

A quiet and special retreat.

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed two weeks in this detached lodge next to the main farmhouse. The beds are large and very comfortable and the linen top quality. The shower in the bathroom is big and a pleasure to use. the open plan kitchen/dining/sitting room suited us and made the most of the fabulous views onto the Ballyhoura mountains. The lodge is set well off the road down a long drive and being situated on a farm, has a lovely relaxed feel about it. We travelled to Killarney, Cobh, Kilkee and Limerick - not forgetting the near by Donkey Sanctuary! The lodge is a great place to relax and unwind in comfort in a lovely setting and Imelda makes you feel right at home.

Splendide

Autumn in Ireland

  • 5 of 5

My family stayed 10 days at this perfectly charming guest house. We were there in October to see the fall colors at their finest. The trees and foliage surrounding the house were spectacular. The hostess provided all the amenities of home, including freshly made scones for our breakfast each day! The location is perfect for daily sightseeing. We set out each day to tour the countryside with time to return home to make our delicious home cooked meals and relax in the evenings. We even stayed home one day just to enjoy the comforts of our cozy cottage. The nearby town is an experience all on its own. It is the epitome of an Irish country village. The merchants were ever-so-friendly and offered an array of provisions for our pantry. When we tired of cooking, we dined at the local pub where we enjoyed meeting and sharing stories with the townspeople. I highly recommend staying at this cottage or the larger house next door. Both offer the best in comfort, location and services.
