Julian House Rental Photos and Description

Best lake view sleeps 10 fireplace/air conditioned $229 to $309

ABSOLUTELY THE VERY BEST VIEWS AT LAKE CUYAMACA JULIAN!!!! No other property has these incredible views.

Lake Cuyamaca Four Seasons House...At 5000 feet above sea level, this is a 2500 square foot mountain home with the modern amenities of a fine hotel. The home overlooks Lake Cuyamaca and has the most SPECTACULAR views of the Lake and the surrounding meadows and mountains. It is the perfect place for a family gathering, a romantic get-a-way, or a gathering of good friends.

Whether you are a hiker, mountain biker, fishing enthusiast, nature lover, star-gazer, or just need some time to decompress and relax with family and friends, this Lake House will fulfill those needs.

The Cuyamaca 4-Seasons Lake House has three large Master suites in addition to a fourth den for sleeping purposes. The beds are extremely comfortable as the owner believes it is imperative that folks get a great night's sleep.

There is room to sleep 10 in the following bed areas:

Master #1 has a King Size bed with premium bedding & down feather pillows. There is an armoire with private satellite TV. The double doors open to a private balcony that overlooks the mountains, meadows, and lake.

Master #2 has a Queen size bed with premium Pottery Barn bedding and another armoire with private satellite TV. It also has a door that opens to a separate balcony area with incredible views.

Master #3 has a King size bed in addition to a Queen size bed with Tempur-pedic Memory Topper and a standard twin bed. All bedrooms are large with ample room.

Each bedroom has a private bathroom.

The den area has a standard twin size bed.

The home has central air-conditioning and forced air heating. In addition, there is a auto-feeding pellet fireplace in the Great Room.

The incredible views and the floor to ceiling rock fireplace in the Great Room make for a romantic setting or a cozy get-together. The floors are polished hardwood and the Great Room has southwest decor in addition to a 46' large screen TV. All insulated windows focus on the lake and the spacious views. Satellite programming and WIFI are standard amenities. The house features a shuffleboard table for competitive fun!

The housekeeper maintains this home in spotless condition. The kitchen has polished wood floors and granite counter-tops. It has full appliances, serving pieces, cookware, ice-maker, dishwasher, compactor….. about everything you would find in your home.

A large outdoor BBQ grill is located on a far end of the viewing deck. It is the perfect item for grilling steaks, chicken, veggies, or even the trout you catch from the lake. You can have your dinner inside the home at the dining table or you can have a group dinner on the outside deck overlooking the lake. The spacious outdoor deck has even been extended as a hexagon into the middle of a group of trees so that you can enjoy an additional peaceful setting.

In addition to the cleanliness of this home, the factor that sets it apart are the million dollar views. From all areas of the home are COMPLETE views of Lake Cuyamaca, Stonewall Peak, Cuyamaca Peak, Middle Peak, the Laguna Mountains, as well as the meadow areas that stretch eastward toward the rim that drops almost a vertical mile to the Anza Borrego desert floor. It is no wonder that various travelers stop at the corner of this home to take in the awesome views and to take photographs.

The Cuyamaca Four Seasons Lake House is in the Cuyamaca Resort district and it borders Cuyamaca State Park. This State Park is the jewel of San Diego County and it draws enthusiasts who come for hiking, boating & fishing, bird and nature watching, star & night-sky gazing, and horseback riding & mountain bike riding (on designated trails). The hiking views are breath-taking. You will be able to overlook the Anza Borrego desert, see south into Mexico, North to San Jacinto near Palm Springs, West to the Ocean, ... or you can see all at once from a high vantage point. Deer and Wild Turkeys are routinely seen on and about the property and along the meadows and mountain sides. You will most likely see these animals up close as you relax on the decks. In addition, there are bobcat, marmots, raccoons, and foxes. There are mountain lions that live in these mountains because they feed on the deer herds. For this reason, It is best to be practical when hiking and do not travel alone and do not permit children to wander by themselves on the mountain trails. The Cuyamacas are an area of incredible beauty but it is a wilderness that is home to various animals.

There are birds of every kind that surround you including, Hawks and various raptors, Woodpeckers, Jays, Canadian Geese, Loons to name a few. There are also a pair of Bald Eagles that live in the trees near the lake. It is a special treat to see the Bald Eagles chirping while soaring over the lake.

For more leisurely pursuits, you can go to the old gold-mining town of Julian, about 9 miles up the road. Once there, you can peruse quaint shops, visit the winery, go on gold mine tours, stop by the soda fountain, or indulge in fine or casual dining. Of course, Julian is best known for home-made Apple Pie and you have your choice of the Julian Pie Company or Mom's Apple Pies.

We welcome you to the Cuyamaca Four Seasons House and we know that you will be mesmerized by the views, pleased with the amenities, and energized by the beauty and nature that surrounds you.

I just want to say that the house was amazing!! Everyone had a great time and the house was beautiful, clean, and well taken care of. The views were spectacular and I could not have been more happy with everything. I did make it out to the Pine House on Sunday for lunch before leaving and it was great, our server was really nice as well. My friends and I already want to come back early next year! Thank you for everything and being very helpful. Best,

Fantastic! Well-quipped, clean and roomy!

  • 5 of 5

This house exceeded our expectations! Plenty of room for two families and very well-equipped. Great location and breathtaking views! Lots of extras like shuffleboard table and games made it fun to stay indoors. But the location was convenient to hiking trails, the lake and Julian. Would highly recommend!

A fantastic get away spot for family reunion

  • 4 of 5

We are here celebrating my mom's 95th birthday. The house is clean, nice lay out inside out. All the bath towel are puff & comfortable. All kitchen supply are provided. We were worry about the heat this week in Southern Cal, so we bought a 20 pounder of ice cube in down town Julian on the way. but it was not necessary. The A/C is on. and ice maker works good.

I like the yard facing the lake. little picnic table set looks cozy. There are so many rooms in this place, I think it can sleep more than 10. There are not many businesses around. you need to prepare food which we had a great time cooking for the 2 days stay. we went hiking in the national park next to the lake , and get a famous apple pie from the lake restaurant. Very relaxing, and full of precious memory store to my family album for sure!!. Thanks Mike & Jean!!! We'll be back!!!!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review. We try to think of everything so that our guests have little to bring. The lake house is also our family destination and we constantly maintain a high quality there. We have to black-out dates ahead of time if we want to stay there ourselves due to the demand. We look forward to having you and your family return. Cordially, Mike & Jean

Absolutely loved the view!

  • 5 of 5

The owner contacted me personally, was very personable, friendly, accommodating and gave helpful information about the lake and area.Though our stay was short, we all had a fantastic time! The house was very clean and very comfortable. The adults (3) couldn't stop talking about the view and the kids (6)were very impressed and loved hanging out on the balconies and the shuffleboard. We have already recommended your place to family, friends and teammate's families. After returning from the first night of competition, we went down and enjoyed time at the lake. We would definitely book the Four Seasons Lake House again. I think my husband is thinking up a reason to go back right now......

Thanks for the use of your home. La Donna A (and track club)
