This was an awesome experience for our family. The boys loved the creek life. This was their first time being in the mountains. They never wanted to leave the cabin. Everything we came to do was only a short distance.
Thanks for making our trip extra special.
We had a great time here! The cabin's location isn't too far off the Cosby highway, but felt very quiet and secluded. The creek next to the house was beautiful and would be a fun place to splash around if our son was a bit older. The front and back porches were both great places to sit and relax too.
We stayed here with four adults and one baby (who slept in a pack'n'play that we brought) and we were all very comfortable. The living/dining area was big enough for us to hang out in and being able to cook meals in the kitchen was nice. The upstairs loft area was really roomy. Both bedrooms have their own bathroom, which was great for convenience and privacy.
Anita was a great, professional host and very easy to communicate with leading up to our arrival. Check in/out was easy and she even called a few days later to ask if everything went well with our stay.
We found some nice hikes on the nearby side of Great Smoky Mountain National Park (Mt Sterling Gap and Albright Grove) and this was a good spot to come home to after being out on the trails. If you're looking to stay in the Cosby area, I'd definitely recommend this cabin!
Such a great property to stay at. I love how secluded it is yet so close to the city. The creek is a great place for the kids to play and the hot tub is a added bonus. I just couldn't find the dust pan. We will definitely be back.
There's nothing negative that I can say about this cabin. We just fell in love with it. We enjoyed fishing, playing in the creek, (running for a camera in case someone fell), looking for different kinds of rocks and sitting by the fire at night. We truly enjoyed this cabin. We were close to whatever we needed and not in all that traffic every day. I wish we could have stayed just one more week, but we had to return back to work. Enjoyed our week. I have gone with my boyfriend for 5 years with his sister and family and this has been the best place yet. Don't change a thing!!! Thanks
We had a fabulous time. Anita was wonderful she answered our calls every time. I would definitely rent off her again. The cabin was extremely clean it had a beautiful back porch right by the creek. Front porch had a beautiful view it was very comfortable there. Cosby was a great little town to stay in we really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to come back.
We spent Thanksgiving in this cozy cabin. Sitting in the rocking chairs listening to the creek while drinking coffee in the mornings; building a fire by the water and making s'mores and grilling some venison sausage we brought along were some great times we spent outdoors. Inside the cabin, playing cards at the table and giggling/talking in a warm, comfortable environment was the perfect way to spend the holiday. We were 30-45 minutes from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We spent one day driving to the Smoky Mountain Park and Cades Cove which took most of the day but the views were worth it. The owners were very kind and prompt with communication. A+ all the way.
As described in VRBO everything was perfect. My family had a great time playing in the creek. We fished and enjoyed looking for all kinds of unique stones in the creek. The cabin is only a 30 minute easy drive to Gatlinburg or 15 minutes the other way to Newport where you can shop for anything you need. We would definitely recommend the cabin to friends and would consider coming back in the future.
If you have kids want to go swimming "Midnight Hole" at "big Creek Trail" is a must. Very easy 30 minute drive. A short walk up an easy well marked trail and they can swim for hours in a real mountain stream with a 20 foot waterfall. We spent several hours jumping off the rocks and swimming in the natural pool of water. The water is a bit cold but crystal clear, make sure you wear water shoes and bring some snacks to turn the outing into a picnic. Both our kids said it was the best part of their vacation and best of all it's free.
