One week in this wonderful home!
This was a very beautiful and comfortable home for four women for one week together.
Everything in the home was wonderful and so enjoyed the help from Yves and Lucie before checking in early on Oct. 21st. Lucie was a great help getting the Smart TV to work!!! Great location as close to Old Quebec and in a beautiful neighborhood. Nice to come to this home after a day of exploring as so nice to relax here.
As a single mom and all the kids off on there own it was great to bring the family together for a great family vacation in Quebec. It is very close to Quebec city and main attractions and it is set in a nice location that is relaxing to sit outside and look out over the lake and all the lovely homes in the area. Thank you as well to Lucie.
Perfect in Every Way!
We are four college friends celebrating 50 years of friendship. The home is quite beautiful...it was so clean (gas grill was like new!)...convenient to shopping and sightseeing...awesome view! This home is well equipped and well stocked. Yves and his sister, Lucie, were so kind, helpful, and responsive. I wrote to ask if there was a cooler at the house so we could take a picnic. Yves and Lucie bought one for our convenience. Items we especially liked: make-up mirror in bathroom, tons of tourist info, great owner recommendations in the "House Book", tons of towels, very nice appliances and furniture. This home is an incredible value. Thank You!
Great place to stay!
The house was amazing! Very modern and cozy. Great pastry shops down the road. Great access to the city and national park. Would certainly recommend to anyone.
We loved our stay and vacation in Quebec! Home was clean and beautiful! Enjoyed sitting on deck with view of Lake. Easy ride into quebec city. Helpful information in home. Loved nearby coffee shop and bakery. Nice run around Lake! We were sad to leave. Thank you!
Beautifully Appointed & Well located.
We very much enjoyed out stay at this property. 'The living area is spacious, all systems work, and the bedrooms are comfortable. If you are of a certain age, as we are, the house is really suitable only for 6-7 adults, and that assumes three of them are couples. It is kid friendly for another 2-3 small people.
Lucie, the owner's sister, was very helpful and friendly. TV and wi-fi work fine. And there is a beautiful view of the lake. No public beach, but we could have used the Nautical Club, 1 km away, had the weather been better.
It really is just 20 minutes into the heart of Quebec City, and not far from other attractions such as Montmorency waterfall. A must.
This is a very good rental, but the layout for sleeping is a bit funky. Master BR has no closet, but a great bath. BR #2 has a huge closet, but the huge bath is off the nearby kitchen. Both of these ground floor bedrooms have glass doors!!
We are happy about all the positive comments, however this appreciation gives the impression that the sleeping accomodations are incorrectly stated or that some of them are meant for midgets. Besides the three queen beds in the regular bedrooms, there is a convertible double sofa in the living room which sleeps two adults comfortably (it's not one of those cheap spring loaded fold aways). In the children bedroom there is a full sized single and another one in the refuge above the kitchen. If you add that up (6+2+1+1) that amounts to 10 regular sleeping facilities. In the children bedroom there a child sized bed and a crib, that is why we claim to have 11 sleeping spaces.
If the master bedroom has no closet, it has a couple of dressers with plenty of space to put clothes in, as well as an elegant coat hanger. It should also be mentioned that there is a gigantic closet at the entrance where everybody's clothes could easily fit in.
It appears, that in this appreciation, the term bath actually means bathroom. You might get the impression that access to the second one mentioned is through the kitchen, but that is not quite true, since the ground floor is open space, and we believe it is practical to have access to a bathroom that does not require you to necessarily go through a bedroom.
Quebec City center 20 minutes. Montmorency Falls and Ile d'Orleans nearby. Cross country skiing, dog sledding tours, snowmobile and snowshoe trails nearby. Sugar shack a few kilometers in the spring.
