Beautiful house, great hospitality, and perfect location!

  • 5 of 5

We rented this property for a family vacation in June, and we couldn't have been happier with the location, the house, or the hospitality. The house is right across from the lake with a beautiful view. It's spacious and well-kept and had plenty of room and storage for our family of nine (with three generations). Similarly, it had everything we needed for the kids (ages 1, 4, and 7), including games, a stroller, gates, and a high chair. The house is just a short drive to the grocery store and local restaurants, and it's a very easy 15-20 minute drive into the city. It was nice to be a little out of the city with some room for the kids (and adults) to stretch out, relax, and sit or play outside, too. We enjoyed walking around the lake in the mornings. Mr. Sabourin was very kind and attentive, and the information book, maps, etc. provided in the house are very helpful.

A few recommendations for things to do during your stay: We loved Isle d'Orleans, which is about a 25 minute drive from the house and just a few miles from Montmorency Falls (which we also enjoyed). Isle d'Orleans has beautiful wineries and farms, a chocolatier, and some wonderful restaurants. As for restaurants closer to the house, we really liked Archibald's as a great family-friendly option.

Truly, I can't say enough good things about this property. I know I speak for my whole family when I say that we would all highly recommend it (including the kids, who were sad to leave).

Beautiful property

My extended family and I stayed at this beautiful home. Everything was close by and easy to get to. Everything was thought of inside the home if you are traveling with children or adults. We just returned home and already we are talking about returning. Highly recommended!!!!

Beautiful house, well furnished and in a good location

  • 5 of 5

This is a quality rental home. We have stayed in about a dozen VRBO properties and this was definitely one of the better ones. It was an easy trip into old Québec, Montmorency Falls and the Botanical Gardens. While it was a bit longer out to say St Anne de Beaupre and the falls at Saint Ann's Canyon , I would recommend both as a destination.

Owner's Response: We have had may positive appreciations and we want to keep it that way, but it is interesting to have somoene, who has used this kind of service (renting a holiday property via the web) several times, compare our offer with others.

Wonderful stay at home in Lac Beauport

  • 5 of 5

As described in other reviews of this property, the house is very spacious and clean and well organized. Being 20 minutes from Quebec City gets you away from the crowds but not too far away. Being close to the National Park was very nice. Being close to the small QC airport is ideal. We were worried about not being able to speak French but found out it was no problem at all. We enjoyed the deck outside and the kitchen offered everything we needed. I would highly recommend this house rental, especially if you have requirements of multiple bedrooms. We even took advantage of the bed in the loft.

Owner's Response: One point made in this appreciation which is interesing is the language issue. Yes Quebec City is french speaking and a lot of its residents don't speak english that well, but they will welcome you with open arms nonetheless. Get a feel for Europe in a context that will feel familiar.

This house is perfect!

  • 5 of 5

We came to Quebec City in mid June for one week. I was with my husband and my 15 year old son and 15 year old daughter. My husband and I had been to Quebec City before, but my children had not. We wondered how it would be staying a little ways outside the city, but now we are so glad we did! This beautiful house is in the country, about 20 minutes outside the city (park on Rue Dalhousie for easy parking and quick access to the lower city), and very close to the Jacques Cartier National Park, which is absolutely gorgeous! The location is perfect -- remote, yet 5 minutes from the grocery store.

As to the house -- the pictures are very accurate. The common area is large, with the kitchen and living room all in same space. It's a wonderful spacious feel. My son and daughter each got their own room, which for 15 year olds is a must! There is a loft right above the kitchen, which my son used as a quiet, peaceful place to listen to music and relax. My husband and I stayed upstairs, in very peaceful, comfortable room. In all the rooms, there is ample space to completely unpack and organize. I love that in the master bath upstairs, that they have cubbies right by the sink so you can organize toiletries without having them clutter the sink. It's the little things that make a difference. And lots of closet space! We didn't use the adorable children's room right outside the master bedroom, but we did use the mini office overlooking the living room. Perfect for the computer, and the view out the windows was of the lake, which took on beautiful and different colors at every time of day. This is the view that meets you every morning!

I would definitely recommend this place to anyone! The owners were very attentive. Lucie came over for a few little issues and they were resolved right away.

Thank you so much!

Owner's Response: This appreciation clearly underlines the convenient location of the house, close to the city and scenic areas, yet sufficiently remote to offer a quiet retreat in a nature setting. Another aspect of the property which is clearly described is all the practical things that are at your disposal. We put a lot of effort in making things practical with plenty of space to store the things you bring with you. The attention to detail pays off, because people feel right at home.

Great House near Quebec City

  • 5 of 5

This place was amazing. We had 4 adults and an toddler with plenty of room to spare. This was the perfect place to stay for our 7 day family vacation during our time in Quebec. We were blown away by the property. I would recommend this place to anyone going to be in the area of Quebec City.

Owner's Response: What more can we say ? Nonetheless, it does not matter how often people tell us they were satisfied, ti's always nice to hear. Once again the spaciousness of the place stands out.
