Why Rich Jurewicz chose Northern Michigan

Hide-A-Way Lodge is located in Indian River, Michigan, which is about 30 miles south of the world famous Mackinac Bridge. Nicknamed "The Heart of the Inland Waterway", Indian River is directly between Burt and Mullett Lakes. Both of these lakes, along with the Indian and Sturgeon Rivers, offer fantastic opportunities for boating, fishing and swimming, tubing, kayaking and more! Our property is just a few miles outside of downtown Indian River, where patrons can find shopping, dining, and access to our beautiful lakes and rivers; the short distance from town retains the quiet seclusion that comes with being adjacent to thousands of acres of state land. The state snowmobile trail system is just a short walk from the lodge property, which you can explore while hiking or snowmobiling. Being located in the heart of northern lower Michigan, Indian River is within a 25 minute drive of beautiful many opportunities for golfing, downhill skiing, casinos, shopping and fine dining, historical exploration, scenic drives and sights and so much more!
