East Glacier Park House Rental Photos and Description

House, 4 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 9)

Thanks for looking at Railroad Creek Lodging's H4 House while planning your trip to Glacier.

Our two story house features three bedrooms upstairs. One has a queen bed and a single, while the Master Bedroom has a queen bed. Adjacent to the Master Bedroom is a small bedroom with another queen bed. Our fourth bedroom is downstairs and has a queen bed. All of the bedrooms have great views that provide a peaceful end to your day and brighten the start of the next one. Upstairs you will find a full bath with laundry facilities while the downstairs has a bathroom with shower and sauna.

Sit in the cedar and brick living room with your morning coffee and view Lubeck Ridge, Calf Robe Mountain, Firebrand Pass and the occasional deer, moose, coyotes, elk and bear that make the area their home. Expansive south and west facing windows give incredible views that make our part of the state such a special place. A fully equipped kitchen lets you plan meals at home or dine out at one of the local restaurants. Everything down to the salt and pepper shakers is here for you, but if you have a special request, let us know and we'll work on it.

The deck on the west and north sides of the house offers great views and deck chairs are there for your comfort. A gas barbecue and picnic table are also located on the deck for your cooking and outdoor dining use.

Hiking is available as close as the back door, with many other opportunities in the area. Two Medicine Lake area provides numerous hiking trails and a tour boat operates on the lake also. Firebrand Pass is just up the road and is a great hike.

We are located three miles west of East Glacier on Highway 2. Close enough to town, but removed enough to let you see sunsets, stars, northern lights and nature at its best just outside the door. Fluctuating temperatures, windy weather and long daylight hours are part of summer here in East Glacier, so be prepared for whatever Mother Nature has to offer during your stay.

COME AND ENJOY OUR PART OF THE BIG SKY COUNTRY!!!

About Chuck & Vicki Holbrook

Hi, we're Chuck & Vicki Holbrook. We lived in East Glacier for 21 years before moving to Whitefish Montana in 1999. We have both retired from our jobs and moved back to our home in East Glacier. We live in it in the winter and offer it to visitors to Glacier in the summer. We are eager to be part of your plans to visit Glacier Park. We are pleased to offer our guests a quiet well equipped house outside of town to relax in at the end of a day exploring Glacier Country. Let us know if Railroad Creek Lodging fits your plans for your trip to our part of Glacier Country.

Chuck & Vicki Holbrook purchased this house in 1983

Why Chuck & Vicki Holbrook chose Glacier Park

We like living in the country and being able to enjoy life without the distractions of town. Our house is very close to nature and lets you experience it at whatever level you wish.

What makes this house unique

We designed the house to be energy efficient in both winter and summer and to also have great views out all of our windows. We experience all the many weather types and wildlife that make this such a unique place to live. Our view is essentially unchanged over the last 30 years and we love being out here in such a natural setting.

Best place for larger groups!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed here for our parents 30th wedding anniversary. There were 8 adults total. The place was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. We cooked 90% of our meals here. Chuck and Vicki stopped by our first morning and showed us how to use the bear spray for when we were out on the trails in Glacier National Park. They also had great suggestions for what trails to hike. The house was cozy and the sauna really came in handy for when we were out hiking in 35 degree weather for 4 hours. The house is charming and has a lot of cool informational books and fun artwork/decorative items hanging on the walls- not to mention phenomenal views of the mountains in the bedrooms! There was also a washer and dryer so we didn't have to pack an overwhelming amount of stuff for our week there! I wouldn't reccomend anywhere else if you are visiting this area. Thank you Chuck and Vicki for providing such a warm and comforting place for my family and I to celebrate our parents' anniversary!!!

Perfect home for visiting Glacier National Park

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at this house. We were 5 adults and we found everything we could possibly need to have a comfortable and convenient stay while visiting Glacier National Park. Chuck and Vicki were very helpful with correspondence before we visited and the home was clean, comfortable, and an easy drive to the various Glacier entrances. We enjoyed the scenery, the horses in the pasture, and all the options for indoor and outdoor dining with a grill and firepit outside. Perfect for smores. I highly recommend this rental. Thank you!

Great stay

  • 5 of 5

This is a great house. We were two families of 4 and it suited us really well. We put all 4 kids in the adjoining double rooms and they loved it. As said in previous reviews the house is the most well stocked I have ever stayed in - where else do you find a fully stocked spice rack plus all necessary sauces for barbecues?! Chuck and Vicky were very helpful and welcoming and the house is perfectly positioned for walks at Two Medicine. We also went to Many Glacier which was only about an hour away. We loved the sitting room with its wonderful views, a great place to keep up with the Olympics but still feel you are on holiday. Also the kids loved the hammock (and it survived their attention!) and we loved sitting out watching the humming birds at the feeder which had been filled for us when we arrived. A great stay, thank you very much.

PERFECT!

  • 5 of 5

We could not have enjoyed our stay more. Chuck and Vicki were helpful with phone calls and emails from the day we expressed interest in renting their lovely home. We arrived to fresh brownies, horses in the pasture, a very clean home with EVERYTHING you could possibly need (bear spray, binoculars, flashlights, washer/dryer, full kitchen necessities, you name it!), and a welcome visit from the Holbrooks that evening. Their home is an easy drive to East Glacier, St. Mary's entrance and Many Glacier. Wish we could have stayed longer. I highly recommend this rental. We hope to make another visit back in the future.

H4 creek lodge

  • 5 of 5

The Holbrook home was everything we expected and more. Spacious, well appointed and spotlessly clean. Great mattresses on the beds, soft linens, well equipped kitchen and baths and a serene setting. The Holbrooks are genuinely kind people. They leave you alone, but are there at a moment's notice should you need something. Brownies, beer, bear spray (which we needed), flashlights, dvd's, gas grill, etc. We wanted for nothing because Chuck and Vicky ensured we had everything....thank you...Regina

Memories made here!

  • 5 of 5

We gathered at Chuck and Vicki's home to celebrate our daughters wedding. Friends and family arrived from all over the US so this was a beautiful retreat after several hectic but fun days. Chuck and Vicki greeted us when we arrived with fresh brownies and beer! Very comfortable with spectacular views from every angle. Would love to come back and spend some time in that hammock!!
