Not satisfied.

House was old and not clean.

Instruction was too complex.

Owner did not answer questions in a prompt way.

Did not return any penny of my deposit. So be careful when you calculate your rental!

Owner's Response: Client failed to read any of the instructions and left considerable mess that I had to clean up.

Weekend Getaway...

  • 3 of 5

This cabin is old but cozy. There is 2 full size bed room upstairs, downstairs there is a fireplace and sofa that can be converted in to a full size bed, and kitchen is somewhat stocked (basic seasoning/ ingredients and some pots and pans). It was a last minute planned trip to visit snow valley and big bear and this cabin was the only one available at the budget we were looking. Nice neighbors- they helped us out of the driveway since it wasn't completely plowed out and lots of snow left (we went after a heavy storm). Owner was quite particular on how he wanted things which was ok until we saw index cards on the wall stating, "upon leaving, clean this....," etc. Slow in returning refundable damage deposit. Best form of communication it appear is by phone which is difficult to do when your working full-time and have a kid at home.

Quaint cozy cabin.

  • 4 of 5

We had a very nice time. The cabin is in a great location and we'll kept. It could use a little updating like an HDMI compatible tv. There is a huge selection of VHS movies with something for everyone. Communication between us and the owner was great.Thank you again Dan for letting us use your beautiful cabin.

Great trip. Small and cozy. Has everything needed. Great porch and yard for snow play.

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time! Got there on a perfectly snow filled day. Kids had a blast! Loved that the house had enough of a backyard with a hill for the kids to slide all day and into the night! Cozy and rustic a definite. A few updates would be great but has everything you need. Would have loved a dryer though. Luckily we always overpack. Close to town so able to run there if needed. Near the park and restaurants. Everything is labeled so you know what to do. Fireplace a little smoky until you get the circlulation going good. Bring "good" wood! Heater nice and warm. Got lucky leaving on a Monday so we were able to get the trash in the dump truck! Thank you for allowing our family to visit! We would love to come again.
