Siesta Key - Gulf-Front Retreat - 2 BR - Free Boat Docks
Located Next to Turtle Beach on the Southern End of Siesta Key, Sarasota, FL
Fisherman's Cove is a very rare Siesta Key condo where every unit has direct, unobstructed, full Gulf views. The building is one of the closest condos to the Gulf on all of Siesta Key. You could throw a tennis ball into the gulf from this Siesta Key beachfront condo! Located at Turtle Beach on the island of Siesta Key off Sarasota, Florida, this vacation home has the best of both worlds - the beach in front and boat docks with access to the Intracoastal Waterway in back. While not as powdery white as Crescent (Siesta) Beach, it is less crowded and great for collecting shells.
This unit is on the ground floor and you can walk right out the lanai onto the sand!! Flooring is a mixture of modern tile, wood (parquet) in the living spaces and master bedroom and carpet in the 2nd bedroom. The kitchen has Corian countertops with tiled backsplash, and modern appliances including refrigerator, range/oven, dishwasher and microwave. The kitchen is fully equipped including a range of small appliances. The dining area has seating for six and is right off the kitchen. The living room has a leather couch and chair, large flat panel HDTV and an amazing view out to the lanai and the Gulf. The air-conditioned lanai has sliders looking out to the Gulf of Mexico and the beach. This unit also has glass sliders between the living room and Lanai giving the option of closing it off so the inside is air-conditioned but sliders can be opened on the Lanai. It is furnished with chairs and table to let you get comfortable as close to the water as possible.
Sleep at night with the ocean surf right outside your window! The master bedroom has a bay window overlooking the Gulf and beach below. It has a king-size bed, large HDTV, walk-in closet, and en suite bathroom with a large tiled shower. The second bedroom has two twin-size beds, and a large window overlooking the bay and boat docks. Additionally, 2 twin self-inflating/deflating aerobeds are provided that can be placed wherever you choose. The second full bath has a tub/shower combo.
The Fisherman's Cove complex provides free WIFI that can be accessed from the units, pool side, as well as from the beach. This unit also has its own dedicated high-speed broadband WIFI. This unit also comes equipped with a full size washer/dryer. Boat docks are available for guest use at no extra charge!! Bring your boat or rent one after you get here. Keep it right at the condo all week long. (Note; trailers cannot be stored on site) Also provided for guest use is a 3-person Kayak.
Fisherman's Cove is located less than 25 minutes from Sarasota airport, 90 minutes from Tampa, and two and a half hours from Orlando. Tons of great restaurants and golf courses are nearby.
Fisherman's Cove is on the southern end of Siesta Key at Turtle Beach and is very quiet and un-crowded. The view is to the west for spectacular sunsets! It's not unusual to be able to watch dolphins swim by in the Gulf from the lanai / patio.

Siesta Key is one of the most spectacular beach destinations in the world
We had a group of 14 adults in 3 different units. They were all nice, each unique. This ground unit was easy access to beach on the back side and parking and pool in the front. Loved the peace and quiet, away from the commercial "touristy" north side, but only 3-4 miles away from all the shops, restaurants and bars. There were two walkable restaurants (Turtles) that were very nice. Plenty of chairs in the closet, beach toys, towels...kitchen had all the pots/pans, bake ware, appliances we could possibly need and more! Would highly recommend it!
Best equipped kitchen I have ever had. Beds were comfortable, towels in ample supply. Location is great. Being able to walk out to the beach was wonderful.
Al in all, a great place.
The beach was not the white powder kind, the sand was black and coarse. Shell hunting paradise but impossible to navigate water without shoes due to rough sand and sharp shells. Water dropped off too quickly for small children. We drove daily to Siesta public beach. Also pool is not kid friendly either...5 ft on one end and 6 ft on the other. No shallow end for small children.
Overall this was a great place to stay. Our main reason for going was to fish on the beach which was right out the back door - tropical storm Colin did put a damper on our fishing but we were able to catch some fish. The beach was in good shape until the storm hit and it did erode but it was still nice - the sand has some black tint but what we were told the black comes from shark's teeth. The condo overall was clean and had everything we needed, there were a few issues but nothing that would keep us from going back (no key for the kayak, the charcoal grill is located by the seawall across the parking lot, the vacuum didn't work good, and a few small broken items were found). The condo is close to shopping, restaurants, and nightlife.
This condo was very nice. Great location and private. Pool was very nice and loved having the kayak available to us. The only complaint I would have would be the Internet service but was able to get thru my telephone so not really a problem for me. Overall I would give five stars and we have already booked for next February. Also enjoyed the playground for my grandson which he loved.
Located directly on the beach on Siesta Key. Walking distance to several bars/restaurants... short drive to dozens more...
