About Krista Kujat

Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, I moved to NY in 2000 to pursue my passion for acting in film & theatre. I fell in love with Brooklyn, and I dreamt of one day owning a brownstone. That dream became a reality 5 years later. I'm an avid world traveller & always appreciate staying in non-toursity, local neighborhoods, so it gives me a lot of joy to create a space for visitors to discover, enjoy the soul of my neighborhood. Several films have since been shot at this location, and I still get requests for film shoots here. Come experience the charm & live your own adventure in Brooklyn!

Krista Kujat purchased this apartment in 2005

Why Krista Kujat chose Brooklyn

I love the charm of old brownstones, and this particular building had the rare details in tact, stained glass windows, gorgeous wood details that are often destroyed when buildings are renovated. The location, just a 5 minute walk from the subway was also a no-brainer!

What makes this apartment unique

The garden is truly a rare delight, very few apartments in Brooklyn have private garden space. Inspired by my travels to Thailand, I created a garden oasis with pond and waterfall. Be sure to chill in the hammock after a hectic day in the city!

Beautiful apartment and neighborhood

  • 5 of 5

This was the second time my mom & I stayed in one of Krista's properties. She is easy to communicate with and the apartment was everything it is advertised to be. We plan to return as soon as we can! The neighborhood has lots of great restaurants, juice bars, etc, and the ease of public transportation can't be beat. I do recommend getting a car service from the airport rather than trying to take public transportation to the apartment if you have a lot of luggage. There are stairs to navigate at both of the stops that are close by. You won't regret staying here!

Cute brownstone with lots of character and a comfy bed!

  • 4 of 5

I loved this brownstone! The area was a great location, very close to subway, stores, and restaurants. The place was very clean. Our bed was one of the most comfortable beds I ever slept on. The garden in the backyard is delightful. My daughters thought their bed to be a bit too hard, but other than that-it was a perfect place to spend a wonderful family vacation.

Clean, convenient but can be improved!

  • 4 of 5

The apartment was clean with everything you need for a short stay (blow dryer, spices, vegetable oil, coffee, tea). We really appreciated juice, milk and banana bread after a long flight! If the owner replaces old pillows and uncomfortable sleeper sofa in a living room--it would be perfect. Also the floor lamp is not working-no bulb!

Amazingly beautiful and comfortable stay in eclectic Crown Heights.

  • 5 of 5

If any thing its the neighborhood you'll be staying in that will be the highlight to your time away. However the apartment itself and the personal yet easy stay I had here with my best friends was incredible. The place has clearly an amazing vibe and is where you'd want to be staying within the hustle of NYC. It was clean, everyone I had met within the unit (even the city) were incredibly nice, and the garden is great thing to have. Very pretty. My time in NY was life changing and thankfully this place helped make my trip what it became. THANK YOU<3
