The sister Swiss Chalet to vrbo 947269. Incredible location on the quiet side of Beucatcher Mountain. You would never know that you are a 3 minute Uber to Downtown (Please don't Walk as it is a hobo walk - Uber).

The Chalets have been here since the 50's and were originally a collection of Tourist Homes for travelers. We even have found old Postcards for the Swiss Chalets. What they had then they have now - great location, views, porches, outdoor areas and, of course, proximity to downtown.

The Alpine is a cozy Asheville cottage set amongst the trees. You will enjoy privacy and serenity of Beaucatcher Mountain in this tastefully decorated and well-appointed "chalet". The cottage is just 3 minutes from downtown Asheville with its exciting night life, great restaurants and wonderful arts scene.

Sit on the covered front porch to relax, read a book, enjoy your morning coffee or grill up something for dinner while watching the sun set. In cooler weather enjoy the outdoors from inside, curled up and cozy with the gas fireplace warming you while viewing nature through the wide expanse of windows.

This cottage is cantilevered off the mountain and has wood floors throughout, one bedroom with a queen size bed, and luxury bedding. The dining and living area is open and brightly lit with lots of windows creating a spacious outdoor feeling. It is very pet friendly!

The Alpine cottage has great outdoor space for your furry friend as well. A convenient gate encloses the outside porch, side deck and dog pen area off the deck so your four legged family member can safely enjoy the out of doors with or without you.

Our Asheville cottage amenities offer every convenience of home…all you need to make your stay comfortable. Gas log fireplace, Hi-Speed Wireless Internet, Cable TV in living room and bedroom, and a full service kitchen where you will find everything you need to prepare any meal – from simple to elegant. All linens and towels are provided. There is one full bathroom with tub and shower. (See Amenities for more detail) A Guest book complete with maps and information on local restaurants, attractions, and shopping is provided for your convenience.

Have fun and enjoy our little piece of road travel history.

Notes:
All about location with this one. Quiet, private and nostalgic community of 1950's cottages on the Mountain above the Tunnel. Very close to downtown. We regularly walk to down to town and Uber home but would simply suggest Uber.

Very cute and well kept.

  • 5 of 5

Immaculate and well thought out. Had everything we needed for a short stay. The road up there was a little unnerving at first , but we got used to it. We will definitely try to stay here again the next time we are in Asheville.

A mountain retreat a mile from downtown

  • 5 of 5

This place was great, up on a mountain, felt like the middle of nowhere, amazing sunrises, yet a mile from downtown. Best of both worlds! Cute place, cozy, super warm fireplace, comfy bed, dvd player. The hosts were quite nice, a very easy transaction. Will come back for sure!

Adorable little place with great walk to downtown!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our two night stay in the Alpine! The space is so cozy and in a great location - just over a mile downhill walk into town. Great views and part of an adorable little compound but still very private. We hope to come back during the summer months to enjoy a warmer visit!

Great "weekend" getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I own a small restaurant, so our weekends are usually the weekdays. We had a wonderful trip to Asheville last week. The cabin was quaint with woodsy charm. Everything was clean and comfortable. It was a little adventure driving up the Swiss Chalet mountain but once we arrived, we were able to relax and enjoy the beauty of Asheville. We look forward to returning in the future.

In the woods....yet close to all that Asheville has to offer.

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay at the Treehouse. The cottage is in a great location and nicely furnished. The private balcony was great for relaxing with a glass of wine in the evening, or enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning just watching the woods come alive! We found the cottage to be nicely furnished and decorated. It was really nice that the wrap around porch/patio is gated, so that we could enjoy the outdoors with our dog. Pam and David were great to work with and the "Treehouse" is definitely going to be our first choice the next time we visit Asheville.

Car: not necessary

Our little home is part of a collection of small swiss homes built in the 1950's. There is still plenty of room both inside and out on the porch and decks.

You are on the side of Beaucatcher Mtn only 1.5 mile from downtown. You are a world away except that it is a $5 UBER everywhere!
