About Brett Jarvis

Pocono Dream Cabins is family owned and operated. After moving to the Poconos from NYC, we soon discovered how amazingly beautiful and serene the Poconos truly are--especially considering how close we are to NYC and Philadelphia. Our cabins are approximately 1.5 hours from NYC and 2 hours from Philadelphia. We have had guests from as far away as Holland, and as close as just across the border of New Jersey. Our cabins are fully stocked with all the amenities, including towels and linens.

Great fun all around

  • 5 of 5

We had a great experience here. House was clean, plenty of towels and beds were dressed. Plenty of room for everyone so you can get some peace and quiet if necessary and large gathering rooms for everyone to be together and not feel cramped. Amenities were great, the kids and the adults had a lot of fun in the game room and in the hot tub. We brought already made food - things like a lasagna and chicken cutlets so we wouldnt have to spend much time cooking, and that was smart because the closest grocery store is a half an hour away. Bring everything you need, better to have and not need than need and not have here. Owner was accommodating, provided excellent communication and quite gracious. In fact, my daughter left her phone charger at the house, we realized when we got home. We contacted the owner to see if the cleaning crew possibly saw it and if so would someone be kind enough to drop it in the mail. Without hesitation, he went and purchased one online and sent it to us in 3 days. Thats what you get here - great house with a great owner. We'll be back. Highly recommend the house, highly recommend the owner and highly recommend you bring all food and drinks with you! THANK YOU!!!!! A+++

I cannot say enough how amazing my stay was. I don't think the pictures do it enough justice. The house is Huge! Everything is very orderly and clean. The owner was easily accessible and very helpful. Everyone in my party slept very comfortably. Definitely will be staying there again. I was looking for a nice getaway with my family and that's exactly what we got. If you want the "outdoorsy, campfire, nature" feel, this is your place! Hot-tub, fireplace, washer/dryer, fire wood were just some of the awesome amenities we got too.

This was my second time renting one of Brett's properties and definitely will not be my last! I absolutely loved the house!! My friends and I stayed there for New Year's Eve weekend and they just couldn't believe how equipped and fantastic the house was! The house had everything plus more. Bedrooms where spacious and the bathrooms where clean and having towels and linens is always a nice bonus. Plus being able to enjoy the hot tub everyday sums it all up! Can't wait to rent again for another relaxing getaway :) Thanks again for making a memorable experience!

Phenomenal experience from start to finish.

My friends and I recently stayed at this house and it was everything we had come to hope for, and then some. Brett himself is an incredibly professional, prompt and honest renter. I have dealt with many renters over the years, and Brett was truly a standout among them. The house itself was clean and stocked with all basic kitchen supplies. All amenities listed were, indeed, present at the house. Everything was done properly, down to the beds themselves being more comfortable than most. I highly recommend this house as a place to stay and vacation - it comfortably slept our group of 10, and there were more couches available if need be. Thank you once again for a great experience!

Wow, I could go on and on... took our teenagers away since everyone works and we never do much together. I've searched every house from Catskills, to PA. This is an absolutely perfect house. The separate, but attached apt was perfect. Kids were excellent, enjoyed everything there.

Property isnt big. It's not secluded, but we didn't bother anyone and no one bothered us. A dumpster made it so convenient. Previous rentals haven't had any options other than bringing garbage with us when we left..yuk. The house is spotless. Whoever maintains it does a very good job. I think the only thing we'd bring next time is a broom. Felt bad that we weren't able to sweep up because we couldn't find one. Wood was accessible. Pellet stoves were great! Owner was excellent. immediate responses whenever I contacted him. Though we didn't need anything during our stay. Laundry- jeez nothing better than to be able to do laundry!!! We WILL be back!

There is a huge area of public land, lakes, ponds, wetlands, and forest surrounding the property. Nearby you'll find the Mountain Laurel Center with concerts and events, Pecks Pond, where you can see Bald Eagles, rent boats and fish, or eat at the historic Pecks Pond Inn. Lake Wallenpaupack, the third largest body of water in PA, is 20 minutes away. High Knob, one of the highest mountains in the Poconos, is just a few minutes away. Numerous ski areas, golf courses, paintball, boating, hiking, ATV and Snowmobile trails, waterfalls, and more are all in the nearby area. Milford, Stroudsburg, Matamoras, and Hawley are all about 20-30 minutes away. This property is located centrally in the Poconos so you are within a reasonable drive of almost all of the attractions. What is most unique about this property is that it is not in a gated community, unlike most Pocono vacation rentals, so you can enjoy real seclusion while still being close to civilization.

As for skiing, the great thing about this location is that you are right in the middle of most of the Pocono ski areas. We get a lot of skiers who want to visit a different area every day. Tanglewood is only 12 miles away, about a 20 minute drive. You are also within 30 miles of Shawnee, Camelback, Mountain Creek, Big Bear, Alpine Mountain, Fernwood, and even Sno Mountain in Scranton is not out of reach.
