Great place, great visit.
Very well kept property, and very convenient for our purposes of finding out what was available in Adirondack Park and Lake George. My only complaint would be the noisy floor boards above the lower level bedroom. The lake access was not as accessible as depicted in the photos, but the younger ones didn't seem to mind. Overall though, it was a great time for all of us at a wonderful location. I would highly recommend it.
Thank you for you feedback. The lower level has carpet and pad over concrete, but we will look into it. The lake access photos are actual pictures of our lake area in June, but we will check to see if it needs some trimming. Rainfall and the weather can affect plant growth.
Great location for family fun
The house was lovely. Not enough seating in the dining/kitchen area. otherwise very clean and comfortable. Extra surprise for my 8 yr and 5 yr old granddaughters with a five foot barbie dream home. They enjoyed very much.
Thank you for your feedback. We would like to note The Lily Pad is a four bedroom home that is equipped to seat 16 adults (10 chairs are in the main dining area plus 6 more chairs in the kitchenette). We also provide 2 infant booster seats with trays.
The house is advertised to sleep up to 13 adults plus one full size crib and one portable pack n play. If your group exceeded the max occupancy, we would recommend trying out our adjacent 7 bedroom home (Eagles Nest) that sleeps 16 adults, plus 2 toddler beds, and a crib. as an alternative for you next get away.
awesome fairly private property with a beautiful lake very helpfully host and best of all it is away from the main tourist routes
Could not have asked for a better stay...
Stayed at the Lily Pad with 8 other guys during Americade last week. Only issue we had (and knew it going in) was that we'd be a bit short on beds (while it can sleep the stated number, it's better for a close family where people are able to double-up). A couple of guys ended up on the couches, but they were still comfortable and the location, level parking, outdoor fire pits and other amenities made it worth it. Cheri was easy to reach and always responded quickly. We were able to save a lot of money by cooking in both of the two full kitchens throughout the week. The location is just far enough away from town to feel like you're out in the woods, but you can be at two great restaurants within minutes and many more if you're willing to travel into Schroon, Chestertown or Warrensburg. While it's right on route 9, the road is pretty quiet in that section and we really didn't notice cars going by. Great place!
Great Little Getaway
A big group of us stayed at the Lily Pad for three nights and we had no complaints. Unless you count not being able to fish from the backyard (the lake is across the street), but we're fishermen so that hardly counts as a valid complaint. =)
The house is not large, but it is spacious. We had plenty of room to spread out. It was nicely kept, the kitchens had more than enough utensils and dinnerware. And the grill and Wi-Fi worked (always a plus when renting a house).
If we're ever in the area again, every single one of us would stay again. Thanks! =)
Senior Cousins Getaway
The Lily Pad was comfy and homey for our group of six ladies. There were plenty of comfy beds, and the linen supply was more than ample.
The owner replied quickly when we reached out with questions.
A stair railing would be helpful between the North and South accommodations, as well as a grab bar in the North bath tub.
The cleaning fee is rather high, considering that the carpets are not the cleanest, and the outdoor trash receptacles were not empty.
But in the big picture, we all loved the layout of the charming house and truly enjoyed our stay,
Thank you for your feedback. We will certainly consider your suggestions for the grab bar and railing.
The trash service we use is a weekly pickup and not after every stay, so if there are two different groups at the house in the same week, there can be trash in the cans sometimes. It's a rural location and service is only available weekly.
The carpets are professionally cleaned on a regular basis and they have already been scheduled for an upcoming cleaning this month, so any soiling has probably already been addressed. We do ask guests to refrain from wearing shoes in the house, but unfortunately some disregard the request. Cleanliness is very important to us and we are sorry the carpets did not meet your expectations and we will do our best to improve.
Our cleaning fee goes toward the cost of not only cleaning the house and resetting it for the next guest but also the laundering of tons on towels and linens. This entire process is done regardless of whether a booking is for 2 nights or 10 nights.
Again thank you for your feedback as it helps us to provide a great guest experience. We hope you come to stay with us again some time.
