Loved the quiet and peaceful stay we had at Bass Hollow. Cabin had everything we needed for a great fishing vacation. We would recommend this cabin. Cindy
Really great cabin back off in the woods! Very peaceful and relaxing!
Everything was as described and very pleasant area to relax. Plenty shade trees especially with the hot days lately. I would recommend this camp to anyone.
I know this is an old cabin in the woods, but it should not smell like an old cabin in the woods that nobody has lived in in 50 years. It was in the 90's outside and 89 degrees on the inside. We laid in bed sweating. If it is that hot outside, they could turn the air on before you get there. You will be walking through spider webs inside and out. I had mouse turds in the corner of the master bedroom. I stayed sick the entire time we were there. I am and grew up in the country and none of our places ever smelled like that. You will find and kill spiders inside especially in the bathroom daily. I pray that when the hot water heater goes through the floor, nobody is in the bathroom. PVC pipe going to a hot water heater?????? When one of those cracks or breaks, someone is going to get burned bad!!!!! just to pull in, trees are dragging down both sides of my truck. I was there to watch my son fish for $20,000 scholarship, instead I was sick the whole time. I personally would not recommend this place. We went into town to look for another place, but after adding it up, it would cost us too much for the second place. The smell of the place will make you sick, that is why they had air fresheners in every room. This place needs some work to be worth the money they are asking.
Great experience, we love it, its a clean little camp with isolation and all the amenities you need.
It's quaint, the floors aren't level, the kitchen is basic (no dishwasher, small preparation space), but it's really comfortable and welcoming and feels like a family place. The surrounding grounds are spacious and awesome. It's perfect for campfires, there's a great little charcoal grill, there's even a flat bottomed boat to go fishing in. We *loved* it and will almost certainly be back.
