Why Chris chose Castillo Caleta de Fuste
We fell in love with Fuereteventura when we visited it the first time in 1996. We visited it many times after that staying in either Caleta or Corralejo, but in the end it was Caleta where we set our sights on. Being so close to the airport was a definate plus and the resort had just the right balance of bars restaurants and shops to appeal to families and couples alike. There are many restaurants that are aimed at family dining whilst there are some that will attract couples for a quiet romantic meal. Amuley Mar was a brand new complex when we bought our house and what appealed to us was the fact that the house would be easy to maintain and keep to a high standard. The complex is very well looked after with the pool and gardens being tended daily. The complex is well positioned in the resort with the beach, bars and restaurants all in walking distance.

Good location complex and quality house
The house was clean and tidy on arrival where Alan met us promptly. Furnishings very comfortable and plenty of room for 6 people. Complex very handy for beach, resturants and shops. English TV and wifi a real bonus. Alan let us stay till mid afternoon as we had an evening flight. Only thing missing was the cushions on the patio chairs which made it uncomfortable to sit on but alan sorted that out as soon as we let him know
Very good would stay again
Excellent property with everything that you need. Nice pool and quiet location but near to nice restaurants. Great service from local property manager Alan.
Home from home
We have been coming to Fuerteventura for over 15 years and have never stayed on this complex before. We stayed for 18 nights and thought it was fantastic. From our first enquiry it was perfect. Chris contacted us and told us everything we needed to know about the house. Booking was easy. Greeted by Alan on arrival, who is a absolute star, really looks after you. The house is lovely. The description given is spot on. The best way to describe it is home from home. Everything you will need for a self catering holiday is on hand and the place is spotlessly clean. We are out in Caleta in a few weeks time, had this house been available, we would have stayed here again. I would strongly recommend this property. You will not be disappointed.
We loved the apartment had everything needed and more, Chris was always a big help with any questions and a courtesy call the day before to wish us a happy holiday,Alan was also great met us on arrival to show us around and how everything worked, we couldn't fault anything great apartment and lovely pool which is looked after everyday, we felt so relaxed, so many good places to eat Fado rock, goose and firkin, the trafalgar great for English pub grub! Beaches lovely and great fun on jet ski!! All in all had a great time your apartment is so homely.
Beautiful house, really felt at home!
What can i say! Absolutely amazing house and pool! Extremely well kept with the pool cleaner coming every day. We're a family of 5 and it was perfect for us... the gated pool area was literally a few steps away from our patio. Alan who looks after the house was a star, always on hand if you needed him! Eating out we would recommend a place called 15 which is down a slope opposite The Crazy Corner shop! For great wifi access go to The Cave (opposite fado Rock). They also make best pizzas! To the left of the house near the sea are little chipmunks on the rocks.. you can feed them peanuts which they take from your hand! The beach (a 5 minute walk away) is one of the nicest beaches i have ever seen!!! Fado Rock is a great place to eat too, very busy! We couldn't believe how cheap it was to go out and eat/drink! Look out for Dom who is the photographer at Crazy Corner, lovely guy and takes fantastic photos... not expensive either! Overall, an amazing time was had by us all. Already booked the same weeks next year :-) Sharon, Jamie, Abby, Holly and Finn :-)
Lovely apartment in a good location.
The apartment is well equipped and very clean. It is semi-detached and in a good location overlooking the pool. There is a supermarket, bars and cafes within a couple of minutes walking distance. We loved the proximity to the coastal path which links to the marina and would often walk this route into Caleta in the evening, though there are quicker routes if wanted.
Communication with the owner was very good and he was happy to answer any questions prior to our stay. The owners supply beach towels in addition to ordinary towels which was a real plus as it left more space for clothes in the suitcases! We stayed for 11 nights and this included a mid-stay change of bedding and towels. We were given the contact details of the cleaner/key holder if any problems arose but had no need to call on him. We had arranged for a welcome hamper to be provided as we were coming in on a late flight and this proved to be good value at 25 Euros.
Caleta is a family friendly sort of place and it has a good variety of restaurants, shops and bars. We particularly liked the Italian restaurant La Bodeguita which we ended up visiting three times! The Goose & Firkin was also very nice and offered good value for money. The beaches don't get too crowded and there are activities to keep you occupied such as boat trips, scuba diving, snorkelling, jet skis and surfing.
All in all we had a really enjoyable stay and would happily go back.
Caleta de Fuste is just 15 minutes from the airport. It is a quiet relaxing resort with many things to do. It has a beautiful sandy horseshoe shaped beach which has a picturesque harbour which has many attractions on offer including sailing excursions where it is possible to site dolphins and whales, fishing trips and water sports. There a many various restaurants located in the resort these include Italian, Chinese, Indian, Portugese and of course the good old English roast. Many bars offer evening entertainment. There are two golf courses about a mile away which has a driving range and club hire facilities. Corralejo has a new water park which is about 40 mins away and further South there is a beautiful zoo where you can experience a camel ride and further south still there are the wonderful beaches of the Jardin, miles and miles of uninterrupted white sand. Other Activities: Off road buggy excursions (great fun)
