The Hudson is a comprehensive rehabilitation of the historic Hudson's Bay building in Victoria which was originally opened in 1921, and reopened after a condo conversion in 2010. This loft style condo has been redesigned to maintain the heritage of the oldest trading company in Canada. The loft style is unique to downtown Victoria with 14 foot high ceilings and huge low-e energy efficient windows. The condo is cooled and heated with geothermal energy. It is located by city hall and a couple of block away from Canada’s oldest china town. Downstairs there is Victoria's public market of local food producers. To live in the Hudson allows one to be connected to the capital city of British Columbia and the cal, quiet essence of the inner historic courtyard.

Why The Owner chose Victoria

A great market downstairs with lots of local vendors. Theres a great coffee shop right at the front entrance to the building. Loft style condo in a historic old Hudson Bay retail building. Geothermal exchange system. Down the street from China town and is right downtown Victoria.

The room was well maintained and clean. Many amenities gave me the convenient while I had been staying this place.

Vacation in Victoria

While a cosy 1 bedroom it was very comfortable and well furnished for our 1 month stay. The unit and building are pet friendly and our dog was very comfortable. We appreciated all the closet and storage space. It was wonderful having all the appliances including the washer and dryer. The unit was very quiet. The security of the building was appreciated as was the underground parking. The unit is in an ideal location for sightseeing and finding wonderful places to eat. We also enjoyed being so close to the arena and took in a couple of games while there. Highly recommend this place. The owners are very nice and extremely helpful.

Above & Beyond

Haydee and Owen's condo was my perfect home-away-from-home for almost 3 months. Their suite is fully self-contained, extremely well taken care of, and it is super quiet. All of the features they list in their ads are top notch. The condo is super comfortable and the air conditioning is an added bonus. It sure beats staying in a hotel! I didn't have to purchase anything, except my own groceries.

The location is incredibly convenient. I hardly had to drive at all. The Public Market is downstairs, and it's a very short walk to a variety of restaurants, bars, shopping, and site seeing. And for me, it was only a 5 minute walk to work!

I had Eva come in once a week to dust and vacuum. Again, convenient, well worth the cost, and Eva was able to work around my schedule.

Haydee and Owen welcomed me the first day and did a complete orientation of the suite and facilities. They were extremely attentive, checked in with me from time to time by email, just to make sure I had everything I needed.

Without question, I highly recommend staying here. The Hudson is an amazing site and Haydee and Owen are perfect hosts.

Great Condo with Wonderful Host

I stayed at this condo for a month. Owen and Haydee are great and went out of their way i.e bought a nice bike stand for the apartment as they knew I had an expensive bike. They provided useful advise as I'm new to Victoria. The apartment is very clean and modern with high ceilings and a/c. Plus you have one of the best coffee shops (2% Jazz ) and all the amenities downstairs. I highly recommend this place.

Perfection!

This condo was perfect! I stayed for 2 months and enjoyed every moment. Owen and Haydee are very nice and go above and beyond. The condo is well laid out. I work from home and there is a separate office space that worked well for me. The market on the ground floor is excellent with a wide selection including the best chicken pot pies I ever had! Located close to everything! I highly recommend this rental!
