Completely renovated this home is like new. (New pictures coming soon!) With more than 3500 sq ft of space upstairs (4 bedrooms and 3 baths), and a den, 4th bathroom and lanai down there is room for a large group or extended family to vacation without being cramped into small spaces.

The huge front yard is a great place for children to play and you can tie your boat or jet ski up to the private pier. Swim, fish or ski in the calm waters or take a short drive to the white sandy gulf beach. Avid golfers will love being just across the street from the Peninsula Golf Course. A five mile walking/biking trail is also just across the street. If you need anything the Dollar General, gas station and seafood shop are in walking distance.

Located on the south side of Little Lagoon, about 4 miles down Ft. Morgan Rd., this home is perched high on pilings. You will enjoy the home's two big decks, accessible from each bedroom and the living area. They are a great place to relax, sun or watch an incredible sunrise or sunset.

The huge six-window bay that stretches all the way across the end of the great room holds magnificent views across Little Lagoon and all the way to West Beach. On a 'big surf' day you can even see the breakers rolling in (and you can hear them too!)

The split floor plan is perfect for large families or couples sharing a vacation. The east side of the house holds two bedrooms and a bath on the hall in addition to the big master bath. The west wing has two bedrooms and another hall bathroom. The east side has sleeping space for five people. The west has a bunk room with four twins and a bedroom with a queen and a twin. Living room has a large screen TV. Cable and Internet/WIFI access is free.

This home has a grill, a patio, screened porch, and covered parking downstairs. The downstairs den has tile floors and a large bathroom with a shower. It is a great place to come in from the beach, clean up and not have to worry about tracking sand onto the upstairs; the kids can run in and out without a worry. Also downstairs are twin daybeds, sofa, and table for dining or playing games. This rumpus room can be accessed from the carport and interior stairs lead up to the kitchen area (good if you have to unload in the rain!) Two sets of French doors open to a screened lanai.

The house sits back off the road on a huge lot that is somewhat secluded making it a great place to get away from it all. The home is not visible from the road. The land to the east is vacant wetlands and to the west is a single family home with full time residents. Vacationing in this house is a great way to experience life like you lived in Gulf Shores full time. It is away from it all yet still close to everything.

Just up the road, the city of Gulf Shores has all the family entertainment you'd expect in a beach town from seafood restaurants to souvenir shops and from goofy golf to a waterpark. Parasailing, dolphin cruises and deep sea fishing excursions are close by. On the main public beach is a boardwalk, the new Hangout (good family place to eat), beach volleyball and the original Pink Pony Pub, oh, and the wonderful Gulf of Mexico washing up on super white sand. Teens still cruise the beach road every night and wonder the boardwalk looking for new friends.

If you are missing your gym back home or needing to work out because you ate too much fried seafood, a nice recreation center with daily, weekly, or monthly rates is near the city center. It features an indoor/ourdoor, temperature controlled (in winter) swimming pool, basketball courts, fitness room, indoor track, ping pong and pool tables, water aerobics, yoga and other fitness classes. In the winter the city's Special Events Department sponsors an outstanding series of performances in the city's Civic Center. A quaint museum is located across from the library in one of the old cottages and is a great way to take a glance into the past.

If you head down Ft Morgan Road to the west you will find the Bon Secour National Wildlife Preserve. It has a nice hiking trail, Gater Lake, and down at the end of Mobile St. a very nice, somewhat secluded, public beach with free parking. Another 11 miles west you will find historic Ft Morgan and the Dauphin Island Ferry.

Golfers Paradise: Who could ask for more than waterfront and a top of the line golf course! The Peninsula Golf Club is located just across the street. It features 18 holes, a pro shop, and restaurant. In addition you will find tennis courts and a swim fitness center. If you want to change things up a bit try the 36 holes of Pure Palmer Golf at Craft Farms, Cotton Creek, and Cypress Bend just a 10 minute drive away. Want more? Play Kiva Dunes or the Golf Club of the Wharf; both are just five miles away.

Shop till you drop: When you tire of all the shops in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach you can shop over 120 brand name outlets on Hwy 59 in Foley!! Brooks Brothers, Gap, Polo, Ann Taylor and more draw shoppers from miles around. From housewares, to clothing, to home furnishing, there is something for everyone at the Tanger Outlet mall just 10 miles north in Foley. Antique shops also abound in the Foley area.

Perfect for snowbirds: If you are thinking of wintering in Gulf Shores, this retreat is the ideal place. The split floor plan makes it a perfect home for two couples to share. Each side has two bedrooms, one bath and each bedroom has a set of French doors to one of the home's two huge new decks. The great room in the center of the house contains a huge kitchen, comfortable seating and a large dining area where you can share good times with family and friends. The house is raised on stilts so guests planning to stay in the main house need to be able to climb stairs easily. However, should any guest have problems with stairs, the ground level den has a twin bed, large bathroom with walk in shower, sofas, and a dining table.

Incredible House & Location!

I am a student pastor, and every year we take our students on a Spring Break trip. This house was perfect for our needs. Very spacious and spread out, plenty of things to do inside the house, and the yard was perfect for games. We ended up spending way more time here than at the beach. The Little Lagoon is in the backyard, and the dock was perfect for hanging out on. We spent a lot of time wading around trying to catch crab and fish. VERY affordable as well. We would absolutely book this house again for our trip! Highly recommend for anyone with a large group.

Owner's Response: Thank you for choosing to stay at Surf's Up! It is a great house for a large group but especially for youth groups and ball teams that want to come to the Gulf Shores area. Out of the main beach crowd (and traffic!) the location makes it a quick trip to the fields or to the Gulf beaches. But, when the group is at the house there is so much at home entertainment - grill and picnic table, volleyball net, fire pit, pier, large yard, the Lagoon for fishing, crabbing and swimming and inside, a pool table in addition to the usual cable TV and Wi-Fi. There is a large screened porch and spacious under house area for those who need to get out of the sun plus two big open decks for those who can't get enough of it. The home has LOTS of space so no one feels crowded; bedrooms are large and have French doors out onto the decks and the great room is, well, GREAT!.

Amazing Stay!

My family and I travel with another family-(best friends) each year and for the past 3 years we have come to Gulf Shores. This is our second year to rent a home managed by Martha and just like last years home this house was fantastic. We enjoyed the large space that this house offered. The description is very accurate and customer service is incredible. We have gone to other vacation destinations and rented several houses and have yet to experience wonderful customer service like Martha provides.

We had 11 people staying here and there was plenty of room. Kids and adults really enjoyed playing pool in the evenings. The house even has an ice cream maker. Just everything you would need was provided. We loved having the dock so we could leave the boat out over night. And Martha the manager is just wonderful. We try to rent houses she manages because she is always so helpful. We will probably be coming back again because we loved the house, location and neighbors.

This house was everything we expected and more!

Everything about this house was as described. The layout is great for really large families or multiple families vacationing together as we were. The owners have equipped the kitchen with everything that anyone would need to cook and serve large groups. They provided a large washer and dryer which really came in handy with kids. There are lots of chairs on the screened porch as well as the two awesome decks. The house and property were very clean and well maintained. The manager, Martha, could not have been any nicer and helpful. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone. We loved it and enjoyed our stay very much.

The Fort Morgan peninsula is filled with local flavor and offers unique access to Mobile Bay, Little Lagoon and the white Gulf beaches. The area is great for people who want to be away from the crowd yet close to shopping, entertainment and sports activities.

A 5+ mile walking trail just across the street from this house will take visitors all the way into town. It is great for scenic morning walks, bicycle riding or other exercise. The Bon Secour National Wildlife Preserve, just 5 miles to the west offers a wonderful hiking trail and birdwatching opportunities. Five miles to the east is the city center, public beach, shopping and the Gulf State Park.

The location of this home is super convenient and within walking distance of a small commercial center that contains a Dollar General, gas station, restaurant, and seafood shop.

Three golf courses are within a few minutes' drive. History buffs will enjoy the ruins and museum at Ft. Morgan and her sister, Ft. Gaines, which is a ferry's ride across to Dauphin Island.

Fishermen can fish Little Lagoon from their own back yard while children play in the shallow waters at the house.

Up in town families will enjoy souvenier shops, Waterville water park, a variety of restaurants, mini golf, a zoo, The Track, beach volleyball and more.

A short trip north to Foley takes visitors to Tanger Outlet Mall for a day of nonstop shopping and more. The fun is endless!
