Menton in known as “The Pearl of France”. It is one of the most beautiful towns on the Côte d'Azur. The streets are lined with Lemon, Orange, and Palm trees. Its parks and gardens are splendid. The microclimate makes it a perfect holiday destination at any time of the year.
A beautiful completely remodeled and refurnished 3 room condominium on second level in modern building with elevator. The balcony off the living room and kitchen has a beautiful view of the mountains. You get the morning sun. The balcony and bedroom have a retractable awning and sliding doors and windows. The terrace has a table and chairs to enjoy a leisurely meal or cocktail.
It is a 20 minute walk from condominium to the center of town, the train, bus station and rental car, the beach and the casino. There is generally ample street parking. However we have a private parking garage in the building that is available for 75 euro for the week.
Monaco, Monte Carlo is 20 minutes away by car (10 minutes by train), train or bus and Ventimiglia, Italy is 15 minutes by train or car. Also there are many outstanding destinations both in France and Italy for day-tripping.
There are many wonderful small villages in the alps that are easy day trips to experience the beauty of France and Italy.
I don't need to tell you about the wonderful food and wine experiences you will enjoy.

Leisurely lunches at the beach looking out over the Mediterranean. Day trips into the Alps to wonderful little communities like Sospel. Taking the eight minute train ride to Monte Carlo. Just enjoying the wonderful French culture.
Had a lovely stay over New Year. The apartment was very well equipped and comfortable. Menton is a lovely town - lots of nice restaurants and a great location for exploring. We visited Ventimiglia in Italy, Monaco and Nice on day trips.
The only feedback I have would be that it would have been nice to have shampoo, soap, tea, coffee, sugar supplied as only staying for 4 nights we had to go and buy them which seemed a bit of a waste.
Overall a very enjoyable break - thank you
We stayed at the apartment for 9 weeks from January to March and found it well appointed, comfortable and very quiet. It's a 20 minute walk to the downtown part of Menton though there is frequent bus service from near the apartment. The internet worked very well which was important to us. The owners' representative Marie, was also very friendly and helpful.
We had a great time at your rental in Menton. Marie met us and gave us an orientation. We were so thankful for the air conditioning and washer and dryer. The bus stop of very easy to take to the beach. Try it right away!
We really enjoyed our stay in your well equipped apartment. Marie and Marcel were very helpful and a very nice people. Apartment well situated close the the highways and the grocery stores a little bit far from the beach about 40 minutes walk. And must not forget to mention the a/c or has Marie said the clim. Very useful in hot Menton it made our stay much more enjoyable. Parking was not really a problem we drove sometimes 2 around the bloc and we were able to find a spot. It was a very busy street and it was nice to sit on the balcony to enjoy the action it was not noisy.
Thanks Chris and Michelle
We had a lovely stay in this bright, airy apartment. It was fully equipped with kitchen and laundry facilities. Marie and Marcel were the consummate hosts! They even agreed to pick us up at the airport. On the way to the apartment it was as if we had our own tour guide! And at the apartment, they were there for anything we needed. We walked to the beach one day and to the harbor another day. We were going to rent a car, but decided not to. (Maybe a motor-scooter next time?) The train station is down the street on the way to the beach. We discovered that Monte-Carlo is only 3 stops away westbound, and a round-trip ticket costs under $6! Another day trip was to Ventimiglia, Italy (only 2 stops away to the east). Note that it gets crowded there on the 30th of the month when they have big street market. And don't forget to visit Cap Ferrat. In sum, this is a great place to relax in the Cote d'Azure, and get in touch with la belle vie en France!
Menton is a lovely town on the French Riviera with plenty of beaches and gorgeous gardens. The town is big enough to have everything you need from good restaurants to a casino. If you are looking for a restful vacation, it is the place to go and is easily accessible to more urban spots or to numerous hiking trails.
The apartment was very well-equipped with kitchen supplies, hairdryer, internet, two tv's. plenty of sheets and towels and more! Marie and Marcel, who look after the place are lovely people. If you have a problem, they will try and solve it. They were also kind enough to pick us up and take us back to the train station when arriving and departing.
There is everything you need around the apartment from a café just downstairs, to quaint little restaurants, little grocery stores, the municipal pool and for those with a car, easy access to the highway. If you do have a car, there is a parking space in the garage, as for finding parking on the street is (as in many French towns and cities) extremely difficult. But unless you are doing a lot of travelling outside of Menton, I would not recommend having a car. I believe there is an error when it says that the apartment is 1.5 km from the beach, I think it meant 1.5 miles (approx. 2.4 km) but it is easily walkable and once you get there, the whole coastline of the city to Italy (also within walking distance…if you love to walk) is beach after beautiful beach! The town itself is closer by foot and also very attractive…some interesting museums there. If you don't mind walking, this is a great apartment. And walking in Menton is a delight! However, you can easily cut down your walking time as there are several busses that go by the apartment and it is quite near the Central bus station and train station if you wish to go out of town and do not want the hassle of bringing your own vehicle. I loved my vacation in Menton and would go again! Lovely town and lovely apartment. 4+ stars
