• Chef par excellence • About: Hello, I am restaurateur , originally from France where I graduated as a Chef de Cuisine in Strasbourg, Ecole Hoteliere in Alsace. • My expertise has been working and running French gourmet restaurants, in Chicago ( Champs Elysees at 260 E Chestnut Str and for 35 years in Tucson Az. Restaurant Le ReI moved from France as one of the young chef at Maxime de Paris in Chicago, Illinois, later on, open a restaurant at 260 E. Chestnut street called Champs Elysees, sold it and worked as Food and beverage manager at the Pump Room hotel on Goethe street, Chicago. Open the 95th in the John Hancock Building. We choose this area because the weather is mediteranean, near perfect and we love long walk on the beach. owner wife is from Mexico and bring with her the Mexican flair and touch Alma de Salina property is an Ocean Paradise, 1 hour from San Diego, it is half way between Rosarito and Ensenada, a short highway drive to the Guadelupe Valley, Mexico's finest wine Country. our climate is averaging 70 degrees all year round and winters are mild. this is the main reason we bought this property to avoid the Arizona scorching summer heat where we also run a B&B called Le Rendez-Vous B&B. You will enjoy for pennies wave crashing onto the beach, take your expresso on the sandl, lucky you... Outstanding value. Our Luxury House description: Bella Vista. Upper Floor / 4Br/ 3Ba/ 180 degree ocean View / Veranda Gaviota. Beach level on the South side / 2Br / 2Ba / 180 degrees ocean view, right on the sand. Contrary to what the media is advertising the area is very safe, traveling on the toll roads is smooth and patrolled for your safety. For US tourists San Diego is the closest airport, Renting a car from the San Diego airport is the way to go unless you are driving directly from California, Nevada or Arizona. Amazing home right on the beach!
We had 20 people stay at this property over the holidays. It was perfect! While it is not one big home, it worked out great! The main top floor condo is large with a beautiful kitchen and amazing views. The other, smaller condos are easily accessible and allow for some privacy for our group. We had families - couples, singles and older 'kids' with us. This property is well decorated and clean. There are no staples though. If you need spices at all you will need to bring them. Alex and Ana are so kind!

This was our venue for a wedding
This property is absolutely beautiful. Beachfront with stunning views. The inside of the house could use some updates. One of the ovens does not work in the main house. The downstairs apartments facing the ocean needs window washing so you can see the ocean and the curtains are torn and hanging.
The good news is the property managers, Alex and Ana are easy to work with and were very accommodating . We booked the property a year in advance so we asked several times if we could come out with our wedding planner to take measurements and just get a better feel for the property. Jean Claude, the owner always made sure that we felt more than welcomed and answered all our questions and wanted to make sure that we had everything we needed for our stay. This is an absolute gorgeous venue to have a wedding. My daughter was married right on the beach and we had her reception on the beach as well in a clear tent.
We had a group of 21 people! Everyone loved the house. The view is beautiful and we loved that we could all be in one place at one time! Looking forward to our next trip! The managers and the owner were always available and extremely helpful!
Beautiful, spacious, oceanfront 10-bedroom villa
We reserved the whole 10-bedroom villa for a 50th birthday party, and it was perfect. Even though it's listed as a 10-bedroom, and looks like one house from the outside, inside, it's separated into 4-bedrooms upstairs (including huge honeymoon suite), and three 2-bedroom units downstairs -- all have kitchen, living room and bath, although two downstairs units are much larger than the third.
The villa has balcony, patio and rooftop deck, BBQ and fooseball table upstairs. We arranged with the house managers, Alex and Ana, for certain additional services -- vans to Ensenada, home-cooked breakfast and dinner one day, and babysitting one night. There were a few communication issues, but overall, it was convenient -- the food they prepared was great.
Bath towels are provided, but you should probably bring beach towels if you're going to want them. Location-wise, La Salina is a quiet, peaceful community with a nice, little used marina, and a cool bar/restaurant nearby, La Salina Cantina. Otherwise, it's about 30 minutes south to Ensenada, about 45 mins to Valle de Guadalupe, but just a few minutes south to BajaMar for golf, or few mintues north to La Fonda for brunch, lunch or dinner.
The owners were very helpful and gracious. Had a few issues throughout the stay, but they were all resolved. Would definitely stay here again, hopefully in summer next time!
Time of our lives
This house is amazing. It is located in a perfect location 30 minutes from both Rosarito and Ensenada. It has access to a quiet beach and is extremely secure. The rooftop deck is a great place to get a front-row view of the sunset. The house is broken down into 4 separate "condos", each with their own kitchen. The master condo has the largest kitchen and is what we used for the majority of our meals. Anna and Alex are the full time caretakers of the house, and they do a wonderful job of helping if there are any issues once you're there. We highly recommend this house to anyone, and are planning to come back again in the future!
