What makes this townhome unique

Located on the eastern side of Manhattan, Queens rentals are a great alternative to more expensive accommodations in Manhattan. The Big Apple’s time square is 20 minutes subway ride away, while Queens itself offers up a memorable and unique getaway all by itself. Queens is all too often overshadowed by Manhattan, but it has surprising attractions, like the Museum for African Art, the Resorts World Casino, Flushing Meadows Park, the Queens Botanical Garden, the Queens Museum of Art, the Queens Zoo, New York Mets(Citifield) and the Home of annual US Open Tennis!

The property was perfect. Very clean and spacious.

We were never bothered. We never received complaints despite our noise from time to time. Everything we needed was nearby, literally within footsteps. Food. Drinks. Subway. Great experience for my first time in New York.

Nice stay!

  • 4 of 5

Jason was very nice and he took the time to search and keep a parking place for us (which was just in front of the apartment). We could leave our car there for three days and we traveled with the metro. Jason was professional and gave a very good service. The apartment was clean enough and we felt safe. The beds are really confortable and the apartment is cosy. We were there on Easter weekend and we did not ear a lot of sounds of other people in the block. We did not cook a lot. There are good restaurants near the apartment. The metro is just a minute walking and it take us to Manhattan in 15 minutes or so! This was a lot of fun. The negative point about it is that the metro passes right under the apartment (or very close), so we feel the vibration (and hear its sound) every two minutes! I am a very sensitive person but finally, with ear plugs and also the fact that I was in vacation and tired, I slept very well and wasn't disturbed by the noise. My boyfriend was not disturbed at all about the noise and slept well too. We passes our days outside of the apartment, so it was OK. But it is good to be aware of that before arriving! The con's are the furniture in the dining room and living room (chairs, tables and sofa). They need to be changed. So if you are looking for a cheap safe location to visit New York for a couple of days, this is a good place to stay.

beautiful unit,extremely clean,very accommodating

  • 5 of 5

My girlfriend's family and I stayed here for six days and it honestly felt like home. The apartment appeared exactly as advertised in the Home Away description and photos; every surface was spotlessly cleaned, the beds were comfortable, the kitchen was properly stocked with all essential cookware and utensils, and there's a PC, wifi, and flatscreen TV as well. I can't reiterate enough how comfortable we felt during our stay. Jason is a really nice guy, very accommodating, and did everything he could to make our experience the best it could possibly be. The Jackson Heights neighborhood is very safe and one of the most diverse in New York City. Many great restaurants within walking-distance (nice Korean place on the corner, a couple of Tibetan/Nepalese restaurants a block away, and a few AUTHENTIC Thai places too). The property is located only two blocks away from the Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Ave. train station--a major hub in Queens and only a 15 minute train ride from Manhattan. I'd recommend this place to anyone and definitely wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Thanks for everything, Jason!

Pretty Good for the Price

  • 4 of 5

Jason was wonderful. He let us check in early because we had an early flight in. He met us promptly and helped carry up our bags. He stocked the fridge with water for us and checked in by text to make sure things were going okay.

The place looked pretty much like in the pictures. It was clean and had all of the basics in terms of linens and cookware. I would have liked a few more cooking pieces - a casserole dish and more pots, but then again, I love to cook and not everyone does, especially on vacation. We stayed when the weather was pretty cold, and the apartment was always warm.

This is a very busy area, and if you have a car, it can take a long time to find decent parking. The closest parking has one hour meters until 7 pm. However, the parking situation seemed pretty typical of New York from what I experienced.

I would've given the place four stars were it not for the noise during the day time. The rentals are on the 2nd floor above a children's clinic, and the main entry door is always locked. That means that during the day, the buzzer is constantly going off to let people in. This wasn't a problem on the weekends when the clinic was closed. There were also frequent children crying. I couldn't figure out if it was from the clinic or kids in one of the other rentals. However, the noise isn't a major issue because it's New York City. Most of you probably won't be around much during the daytime anyway, and that's when most of the noise was. I would stay here again.

Amazing Stay!!

  • 5 of 5

This rental home was absolutely amazing. More than enough space for my family of 4. Jason was very helpful and even helped carry our bags up to the room. The subway is only a couple blocks away which is perfect. Hop on the 7 train and it leads you straight to times square in minutes. The area is very safe and the price is the best I found anywhere! I hope to stay here every time I come back to NYC. Highly recommended.
